As soon as you leave the "Customize" screen the new tab + button disappears. While in the customize screen it appears to be correct, so the currently posted solutions to this problem do not work.
You can still drag the new tab button into the address toolbar and it functions. Dragging it from there back to its original position causes it to disappear again

FFox 115.0, W10; using a virus removal tool it deleted all of my session history, including tab-mix sessions. I saw multiple sites describing how to recover them, but most described using sessionstore.jsonlz4 and exchanging it for a previous version, but i don't see any such file in my profiles/*.default/* files. I did get a recovered directory from a backup, and a file sessionstore-backups/recovery-49.bak which seems to contain all the tabs of the lost session. Using the site (https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html) I opened it and it looks good, and it was then saved as sessionstore.json, but how do I deploy this?

Over a week's time, FF becomes unmanageable! Requiring a total shutdown, and restart of the browser. Even when I shut down the browser, if I go into Windows Task Manager, it will still show multiple instances of FF open, that I have to manually shut down. This is utter nonsense, and why should I have to put up with this?
I've been a FF fan for years now, but am getting frustrated to the point of switching to something else!

It seems that every time I open youtube(I do have 2 different youtube accounts for 2 different containers) it asks to confirm to open in which container it needs to be opened even after checking the remember check box.
And also every time, I need to login to my account once I restarted my fire fox browser. It would have been better if the first container always holds and remember my account for that container

Is there a way to have Firefox open either the last active tan after closing the current, or the tab to the left?
For instance, I just closed a tab, there were two tabs to the left that were still loaded, but after closing the current tab, it opened the inactive tab to the right.
I don't understand the logic of it. Seems counterintuitive. What am I doing wrong?

I usually have a ton of windows open and want to organize them better. Tab Stash seems like a possible solution, so I enabled it, kept the 20 or so tabs I use every day in Unstashed Tabs, and put the rest of the tabs into various (don't know what to call them) "boxes". But I can't figure out how to "stash" all of the research tabs I want to. I just saw something that says in order for Tab Stash to work Containers must be enabled, and to use Containers, Multi-Account Containers had to also be enabled. Is that actually necessary? I'm nervous about really screwing something up, so at that point I stopped. Can someone help me? Thanks.

I am using an outside application (1) that starts another application (2) on my computer. I already have the admin console for (2) open in Firefox. When I activate the application from (1), it sends a command to open up another tab with the exact same URL in Firefox. Its really more of a nuisance than anything, but I would like to make Firefox just defer to the existing tab since the URLs are the same. Not sure if this is possible, but it would be great if it was.
Thanks!

Subject: Report of Shortcut Image Swap Issue in Firefox
Dear Firefox Support Team,
The issue I am facing relates to the shortcut images associated with different websites and web applications pinned on Firefox’s New Tab page and bookmarks bar. Instead of displaying the correct icons for their respective websites, these shortcuts are randomly swapping their images with one another.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox.
2. Pin multiple websites to the Shortcuts Section, each with its unique icon.
3. Over time (minutes, hours, or days), observe that the shortcut images have switched places with other shortcuts, leading to a mismatch between the icons and the associated websites.
This issue seems to occur without any user intervention and appears entirely random in its behavior.
The ongoing issue with shortcut image swaps is perplexing and disrupts my browsing experience as I rely on these visual cues for quick and efficient navigation.

I use two monitors, and I have multiple firefox windows open at once. When I turn on my pc and open firefox, the windows almost randomly position themselves on both monitors, sometimes they are not maximised either. How can I change this behavior so that all my firefox windows open, maximised, on one monitor rather than both?
Your lousy so called browser closed all my tabs. Only few left. I used to use your so called browser for more than 10 years, but now enough! GO TO HELL!!!

With the latest update a lot of ease-of-use has gone away. Include is the fact that tabs that are playing sound only show an icon when I hover the mouse over them. I can not seem to about:config to get the sound icon to remain, despite changing the setting. This means if multiple tabs are playing I have to search all the tabs individually. It also means I cannot quickly switch to the desired tabs muting and unmuting as I prefer.
While this is a specific problem which I hope you can solve readily, it is a part of a pattern I have seen over some of the more recent updates, where useful features are removed in favor of aesthetics. It was this very mistake that lead me to leave internet explorer for firefox. Leave us the ability to turn on and off what we like, instead of forcing us to accept whatever you think is the trend.
