I found that the accounts of the domain name account.com.cn and account.com do not seem to communicate with each other, which will affect the information synchronization of different devices.

Hi support team,

Yesterday, I suddenly removed all logins and somehow my profile was synced to the cloud.

Fortunately, I still keep all login files (json and key db files), I tried to recovery all my logins, it was successfully.

But, right after that my profile was synced from the cloud to my machine then whole logins were clear.

So how can I overwrite my profile in the cloud so I can totally recovery my old logins?

Kindly help to give my some advice.

I do not have my authenticator app since my phone broke. I do have the "One-time use codes" which I saved. But, alas, how to make them work?

For some reason I was not presented with the "step 2"-code when I reset my authenticator the last time...

Hi! I have a primary computer with all bookmarks, history, extensions, etc. I've logged in to another computer and clicked to sync my information, but nothing is coming over. Now I'm worried my bookmarks, etc., have been erased, but I won't have access to my primary computer for several days. Is the sync just not working? Please help, thank you.

I am not a geek and I follow all the details of 'how to etc etc' but nothing works and the phone goes into random loops and keeps telling my I cannot sync (I KNOW that). Firefox has no phone number or email system for technical support (or any type of support) just this hit and miss system of 'forums' (or is that fora). I tried to send a bug report but I am NOT signing up for another (geek speak) account just to send you the problem. Please fix this issue - it never used to happen on older versions - how can I roll back my firefox to something that works properly?? I've got an old Windows XP computer running version 52.9.0. I'm trying to sign in to Sync (so I can sync with my new Windows 10 computer) but when I try on the old machine I get this error message:

I've signed in on the new computer, not that it matters.

Is the any way I can connect to Sync?

I have Firefox in a Windows, a Mac and an Ubuntu computer, and sync is not working properly, passwords stored in the browser in the windows computer are not the same as the ones in the other computers, I did the "Sync now" but it didn't work, I disconnected my account in the Mac and synced it again but it is the same thing, not appearing in either

Latest Firefox on multiple Windows 10 systems. One of my devices is missing from "Send Tab To Device" list on one system. There are 10 others in the menu list, but not the one device I want. The device I want is shown under Managed Devices (Connected Services)

In security I have use primary password enabled. I have sync enabled. When I first open Firefox, the "Please Enter your Primary Password" dialog appears twice. At first I thought I was repeatedly miskeying the first time. But then I noticed that if I drag the modal dialog box, then a second box pops up behind the first. In fact, some times, I can start typing when that second dialog appears. As in the case today when I just caught it. Please see screen shot attached.

Hi, when I had cleaned out all my bookmarjks duplicates (and they were many 50.000 accumulated through the years)on my Linuxmachine and turned on my Windows 10 machine they were all back. So my question is: what data is saved when syncing with Firefox sync? And I dont mean the different types you can choose between ,no I mean: when I change one thing on onea logged in firefox on one machine doesnt that change the status of, and in my example the bookmarks on the other machines? Or is it the other way around, namely: will the second machine with all the duplicate bookmarks change the sync-"base" so they will be back on all other machines again? Very confusing especially if youre logged into moire machine then one at the same time. Please answer me, I really need to clean up my firefox's accumulated duplicates pretty quick. Sincerely Wal

I'm really confused about how profiles and sync work together for what I assume is a pretty common use case, especially now will all the WFH. I have two devices:

1. Personal laptop 2. Work laptop

I'd like to keep my bookmarks, history, addons etc separate, but be able to access my work environment when working from home on my personal laptop. I've read a lot about profiles and sync and multi-account container but I'm still confused as to how I achieve what I'm trying to do.

Having multiple profiles on one device is straightforward. But AFAIK if I attach two profiles to the same sync account, and try to sync both between two devices, it will only sync one of the profiles (and then merge everything if I try to sync the other). And if I have two separate sync accounts (work and personal), each with a single profile, I can't switch between them without also merging everything. How does one achieve this then?

I've already looked through the FAQ and various solutions online and have not been able to find a solution that works. My issue is that while Firefox sync is signed in (and working) on 2 computers, as well as my iPhone and iPad, I have lost the password to the account and am not able to recover it from any of these devices. It seems the password saved in my "Passwords" is incorrect, and that seems to be the only place it was saved. I didn't write the password down anywhere, setup a recovery key, secondary email or two setup authentication.

I DO have access to the primary email account, but don't see any way to use that to recover the password either. As I am already signed in to sync, I AM able to add new devices using the QR code, but that doesn't seem to work for new computers (like the laptop I just bought). I have already extracted the saved passwords and bookmarks, and transferred them to a new account (the account I am signed in with right now).

However, I would rather use my original account instead of having two, nearly identical ones. I would also rather not fully reset my account as there might be something else I forgot to record that is buried in there somewhere. Is there some way to recover or extract my Firefox account password from one of the devices I am signed into? or is totally resetting the account the only option available?

I see instructions for sync' to a phone, how do I initially (connect) sync to my desktop from my laptop?

When I sync my bookmarks, how does is know which computer is the primary (the one that I want to duplicate changes from)?

For example, I added new bookmarks and revised some old ones on my laptop and did not have the sync on my desktop at the same time. Now, if I sync my laptop to my desktop, how does it know which device is my primary (in this case my laptop) where I made all the changes?

My goal is to revise all the bookmarks currently on my desktop to reflect all the changes I made to them on my laptop. I'd like to do it without duplicates or displaying old desktop residual bookmarks that I deleted and/or modified on the laptop prior to sync to the desktop.

In this case, should I delete my bookmarks from my desktop and then sync to my laptop so as to seamlessly & efficiently have my bookmarks toolbar on the laptop look the same on the desktop?

my computer broke about 2 months back and i am wondering if i can access the tabs from that device from another device since the original was synced (or i.e. is the a function in Firefox that lets me see all synced tabs from all connected devices)

Hi. I know my firefox account email: [email]@gmail.com and firefox account password: won't type it here, but i know it and have entered it successfully.

After i sign in, with the correct email and password, it states i need to access the verification code and enter it to use my firefox account. the problem is that i just reinstalled windows and the gmail password was autogenerated and stored within my firefox account. so in order for me to access my gmail to retrieve the verification code i need to access the passwords stored on my firefox account.

I have a number of autogenerated passwords related to my college assessments that are time sensitive. I need help with this urgently!

I am trying to access the GIS function at https://www.mitchellcounty.org/departments/mapping-land-records/

I can access every other function on the site but the GIS. I have successfully used my current setup in the past with no problems. I have a desktop computer with Windows 10 and Firefox [both updated]. I have a subscription to PC Matic monitoring my set up and all software is certified as up to date; same with BelArc monitoring after each Windows update. My ISP is a local high speed cable company and I have had no problems with them

I contacted someone in my county with the same set up as I and he is having no problem with accessing the GIS.

Although I am not a techie I am an experienced online searcher [genealogy] and access all varieties of sites and haven't a problem with access on any. Any help is greatly appreciated; I need to access the GIS to provide some info to our POA.

The county person in charge of the GIS said I should change my browser; I have used Firefox exclusively forever; I hate to download software only to discover that the problem still is there.
