Hello... EVERY time I try to sign into my Yahoo email, I have to go through hoops to actually get there. When I click the box that says ...never ask on this device again, your system ignores it. This "Added Security" is not helpful. nor is it adding any security to anything. All you are doing is making me look for other web browsers. Google Chrome does not do this. Safari does not do this. Opera does not do this. I do not need to be contacted via text message, OR ANY OTHER WAY, to gain access to MY email account. Stop holding me hostage!!

Please tell me how to get rid of this absolutely horrible "feature."

I have a new Synology DS420j that requires a secure connection to let me sign in. ATM I can only sign in by scrolling back through my e-mails, finding the relevant one from my first sign-in with the new box and calling that one up.

However, the initial exception has since expired, and I cannot download/instal a new version of such a certificate.

My computer was totally locked, even after I did hard reboot. Message on screen said to call "Microsoft" to unlock. It was not MS, but a company that "represented" MS. I don't know how they did gained access or if they are legitimate or scammers. Name of company is "Instantlivehelps" or Supreme Store. They wanted $350 to unlock the computer, which I have not yet paid. I have firefox, windows 10, and Norton 360 with lifelock and a secure VPN. Is there anything about Firefox that could have helped prevent this and if so, what can I do? I run a store off, so I have to be accessible. Also, I am very much a novice at this. Thanks.

Hi all. I've been having a problem with Firefox (version 100.0) where the entire "Forms and Autofill" section is missing from the Settings page (the Privacy... page). And of course since that's missing, the corresponding features don't work either. Specifically, I'm trying to get the browser to save my address and credit card info.

I've dug into this quite a bit with no luck. I've tried disabling all extensions. I believe it's supposed to work with native functionality and not require an extension.

...which led me to verify that these settings are set correctly in about:config :

The "about:policies#active" page says "The Enterprise Policies service is inactive", which I believe is the correct response.

The "Remember search and form history" setting is enabled.

On "about:support", the "Internationalization & Localization" items are all set to "en-US".

I don't know what else to look for. Very aggravating. Does anyone know how to make this work? It was working for me under Mint just a week ago, but I just switched to Manjaro in the last few days and I'd certainly like to avoid wiping my machine clean again.

Firefox supports Websockets, which allows servers to push arbitrary data to the client, instead of having to rely on polling methods via HTTP and JS. Whilst solving one problem, it creates another. I do not like the idea that any website can just ask Firefox to make a persistent WS connection without my consent. The same is true for service workers, but (unlike websockets) i'm not at all interested in using those. Luckily there's a configuration option to disable support for websockets, network.websocket.enabled, wich is exactly what i've done.

Is there a way to selectively allow websockets, based on IP or domain? If not, why isn't there one? Am i really the lone outsider who's concerned about security?

1. If I enter a Bank card number and tick the "remember me" it does not remember it the next time I log in.

2. Also, my system had to be re-installed and before with my older version of W8.1 I had certain folders under my saved web pages. Now when I open Firefox and want a bookmarked page in one of those folders, it is no longer there. Only individual bookmarks.

3. Is there a Chat for firefox?

Provisioning link for RingFree Communications Windows 10 desktop softphone not working in Firefox on windows but works on MAC ??? Has anyone found a work around for this ?

The weird thing....Running Firefox 99.0.1 on a MAC it works fine, but fails everytime for windows. Clicking the provisioning link from my outlook email opening in firefox. Upon clicking on the provisioning like it fails to provision the Ring Freesoft Windows 10 Softphone Desktop client... It works for Chrome and Internet Edge PLEASE HELP

How do i protect cookies from being deleted in mozilla firefox? I have one account that "doesn't recognize my device" when I enter my user name and password, and requires them to contact me with a code every time I try to log in...It is very annoying!!

The image below are the details of my google account activity taken out from Google. The ip addresses in red I have hidden as they are my real IP. The rest of the IP's are not mine, and with a quick iplookup it directs to Sverdlovskaya oblast' in Russia. Now I dont think I used a russian vpn but there is a possibility I made an error. But what really strikes me here is the Firefox versions. At both the points 1 and 2, marked in blue. there is a change in version, in fact a downgrade from 100.0 to 96.0. How is this possible? I cant seem to find an explanation. And then it jumps back up to 100.0. I also another timestamp where it downgraded to 96.0, and then came back to 100.0 . I'm really worried about the possibility of a hacker on my computer. If someone can find an answer to this it would mean a lot!

I use msn for news and it daily gives you a pop up saying, "Is your current browser giving you the best of the web" and "Microsoft edge has new features built to..."

It takes a good third of the screen, meaning I delete it each time and restore the rest of the screen. It's a pain in the rear multiple multiple times a day.

I literally just created a Primary Password for my account. It worked fine a few times and now it is not working. It says it is incorrect.I saved it in my notes with all of my other passwords before creating it, and even copying and pasting it does not work. I don't understand how it worked 5 minutes ago and now it does not. I don't want to reset it and lose all my saved passwords.

Currently I must sign on to Frontline Education to see if there are any new substitute teaching job offers available 24/7. I would like to receive audible notifications on my Macbook Pro or Apple ipad or Apple iphone to alert me to a new job offer so that I can then go to my device and look at the job offer. Thank you. Any site I go to such as my utility companies that have a link for me to open and view my bill while logged into my online account are prevented from opening by Firefox. Their help articles define the pop-up window as a window that opens automatically. That is not what I'm talking about. I am selecting the link. I am giving the site permission to open the window. It is not automatic. Google Chrome, Microsoft edge, no other browser has this problem. please help.

Hi, I got a new computer and need to sign in to my account but can't remember my long, auto-generated PW. How can I reset with out losing all my data? Is it possible to talk to a human on the phone? thanks, Tyler
