I have Mac OS 10.4.11; when the offer to download version 4 came I downloaded assuming it would run on my machine; the download wiped out my existing version and then would not work; in re downloading 3.6.16 I forgot to select the English language and the French version downloaded automatically (I live in France). The download pages in "select your language" now only offer version 4. I am unable to find a page for downloading 3.6.16 in English.

Two things which might be related: When the update screen comes up, if I press to install, it spins for over 24 hours and never updates. I'm not getting my e mails and they have been sent.

I'm on system 10.5.8. Firefox 4.0.1 works on my desktop but won't open on the other user's desktop (although it has been downloaded and dragged to his applications). We get the message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time." Can't find any other copy of Firefox in his space.

I have mac 10.4.11 and firefox 4 upgrade is not supported. Will I be able to continue using the older version of firefox? Or, should I switch to a different browser?

I downloaded an upgrade to Firefox 4 but it isn't supported by MacOS X 10.4. The upgrade replaced my old version. How do I get back to version 3 of Firefox? It won't open at all now.

I just don't understand whats happening. I have been told that I should upgrade to forefox 4.0, and when I do it won't let me install it as it says my Mac is incompatible. But yet alerts keep coming that strongly recommend updating. I really don't understand what I have to do?

According to the info I get I am advised to download Firefox 4. I can download the file but it is displayed with a sign telling I can´t open. I have tried to open the file but there is no way

The ten items in the drop down History header continues to show ten sites that I several weeks ago. Any new sites that I have used recently or am currently using do not appear in this list. I have configured the history settings to clear automatically, but those ten old sites persist throughout all current use. How do I get rid of them?

Firefox wants to update to Version 4 and it is not for Macintosh 10.4 machines. Need link or zip file for an older Firefox. We currently are running 2.0.3 version.

I also lost virtually all my bookmarks on an "upgrade" routine - I was able to add 8 bookmarks until this part of the program "froze me out". Will you consider fixing this some day? I have a PowerMac with a G4 processor and am not about to buy a new computer to use Firefox - I'll just migrate to Safari instead, albeit I like your Firefox instead.

When I open firefox on the desk top there is a white circle with a line through it. If I drag it to the apps folder it says there is a newer item in there but when I check the version it shows I have version 3.6.17. Any help wold be appreciated.

I did the download and drug the firefox icon into the image of the application folder but it said that I already had a newer version. What do I do now? How do I get rid of the application on my desktop? Just drag it to the trash? Also, I don't want to get rid of my firefox!! thanks for any and all help. I'm an old lady and I don't know how to do this stuff!!

I gather that downloading images from web pages is commonplace, but I can't figure out how to do it. Also, even on sites where a PDF of other file is set of to be downloaded, when I click the button I get only an empty window.

The bar at the top of the page with back/forward buttons etc is greyed out so I cannot go back a page or forward a page when I am surfing sites. It is "alive: now I am on Firefox. Is it something to do with the addons?

This only happens with the first tab. I also can't close the first open tab. The whole thing has been behaving strangely. The refresh and back/forward buttons are unavailable too.
