Hi,

I really hope you can help. In the last two weeks of March I was busy migrating all my relevant data from my work laptop to a HDD since I was switching jobs. I was in a hurry and wanted to transfer my saved bookmarks in Firefox as well. I figured that if I created a Firefox account that I could sync my bookmarks and load them on my new work laptop whenever I signed in. Now the issue at hand is that Firefox doesn't seem to recognize my mail address I used to sync the bookmarks with the Firefox account I used. Now for this 'service ticket' I had to create another account. I used the same mail address again, but not to be confused with my previous Firefox account for which I used the same account.

Can you please help me figure out what happened and how I can recover my saved bookmarks please?

Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you.

Firefox doesn't save or auto fill credit card details. It is really annoying and I am considering changing back to chrome because of it. I've tried all the remedies I found to solve this. If I go to Settings>Privacy and Security, there is no block that says "Auto fill forms" or anything like that, where supposedly I could enable this. I also went to about:config, and made sure `extensions.formautofill.creditCards.available` and `extensions.formautofill.creditCards.enabled` are `true`. See below for full specification of anything with "credit" in about:config, and below that, anything with "formautofill". I'm using firefox 99.0

dom.payments.defaults.saveCreditCard true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.available true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.enabled true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.hideui false extensions.formautofill.creditCards.supported true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.supportedCountries US,CA,UK,FR,DE,NL extensions.formautofill.creditCards.used 1 services.sync.creditcards.lastSync 1649923224.14 services.sync.creditcards.syncID U8PL3v5_czDA services.sync.engine.creditcards true services.sync.engine.creditcards.available true

dom.forms.autocomplete.formautofill true extensions.formautofill.addresses.capture.enabled false extensions.formautofill.addresses.enabled true extensions.formautofill.addresses.supported detect extensions.formautofill.addresses.supportedCountries US,CA,UK extensions.formautofill.available on extensions.formautofill.creditCards.available true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.enabled true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.hideui false extensions.formautofill.creditCards.supported true extensions.formautofill.creditCards.supportedCountries US,CA,UK,FR,DE,NL extensions.formautofill.creditCards.used 1 extensions.formautofill.firstTimeUse true extensions.formautofill.heuristics.enabled true extensions.formautofill.loglevel Warn extensions.formautofill.reauth.enabled true extensions.formautofill.section.enabled true extensions.formautofill.supportRTL true

I have firefox synched between my Macbook (MacOS Monterey) and Android phone. Previous details are from the macbook. On android, I could manually add a credit card to firefox. I also have synch of credit cards turned on. Still neither on my phone nor my macbook do I get creditcard autofill working.

I've been using FireFox for Mac since 2005 and a couple weeks ago, it stopped autofilling passwords on ALL OF MY COMPUTERS. (and I have 7 of them) Make no mistake, all 632 of them are still stored. I can see them in my settings. So it's been a rough week and my productivity has gone to hell, but at least I can still copy/paste them. I checked my settings so see what my most recent update was and it says nothing! (Oh, yeah, like I've never updated FireFox in 15 years) https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2022-04-16-02-13-39-7baba2.png I've got FireFox 99.0 (64-bit). Each computer has a different OS. Is it me or is it Mozilla?

Is there a maximum number of tabs that can be synced? I have about 800 tabs on my old computer, but when I look at the synced tabs in the sidebar on the new computer, only about half of them are listed. The oldest 400 or so are missing.

And yes, I realize 800 tabs is insane. But that's another discussion. :)

I am experiencing crashes when I open a tab from a website I've gone to frequently with no problems. OR I get into the site , go to another page and it crashes. This is only happening on Firefox. I may have changed some permissions, when I was having a problem with sharing my screen when I was in a Zoom session. Please help if you can.

I got into Firefox and Poof! All of the Tabs at the top of the screen were gone. The "Recently Closed Tabs" offering in History is not highlighted. I've used that before to get them back. Now, how do I get them back? I was saving them for reading later. I'd like ME to be in charge of Tabs. Seems like I'm not. All tips welcome! Thank you. CD Happel

I have Firefox set to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" but it doesn't do what it says it will. Cookies are deleted, but the cache remains. I want to keep a history of the sites I've visited, but have no cookies or cache saved when I close- see images below.

The first is how I have it set for Firefox when I close. The second is an example when I reopen Firefox - the cache is still there. I never have any exceptions set up and don't need to.

When I ask this question on this forum all I get is a response that looks like its by a bot. It repeats the instructions for clearing the cache that do not work that I already know, but never address my actual issue.

Is this a feature that just doesn't work, and is ignored by Firefox, even though their entire rap is that they have more privacy oriented than other browsers? Privacy washing perhaps?

Or is there some setting I am missing?

AOL keeps trying to load the mail but won't...but works great on my IPAD and my IPhone. Same with Twitter...it's just stuck on the loading screen. Cleared history and cache but nothing works. HELP.

I was happy to learn Mozilla is so committed to privacy. But the fact it does not allow the "Look Up" feature on Mac's when you get the definition of a work by selecting then right-clicking on a word is ridiculous.

Unfortunately this is a deal breaker. Will it ever be fixed or should I go back to any other web browser that does allow this?

On an IPAD, when I do the identical search on Firefox and Safari, on Safari, the results contain many stores with each store containing many small images. While the stores display for both, on Safari the images do display, but on Firefox, the results do not display the images. The blank spaces where the images would go are visible, but no images occupy those spaces. An example would be to search for 'scooters'. No such glitch happens using Firefox on macbook air

How can I fix this, if I can.

Since a couple of months I've noticed that my firefox has become veeeeer slow, and takes a lot of time to download facebook content, specially images. The page stalls forever and shows some empty areas with a small description like: "must be an image with people", but the content never loads, ant takes forever to navigate face book.

Any other browser works flawlessly and has no problems at all. The only one that cannot handle facebook is Firefox.

There's a way to solve this issue?

Hi there,

for ages, I was slightly annoyed by not being able to choose audio output for video conferencing in my browser favourite, Firefox. I think it is time to move this to more prominence as it is solved for ages and exists as experimental feature: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=934425 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1294381

Toggle"hidden" config parameter media.setsinkid.enabled to true (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox/Experimental_features#apis) to enable it.

Could you find good places to share this? My impression is that this default is a huge UX disadvantage of firefox vs. chrome at the moment.

Best, Baltasar
