i have just downloaded Firefox and i go to open in and it flashes open an close immediately. the occurs every time that i open the program. i have reinstalled it multiple times to see if that's the issue, used the Microsoft store to download it, the website, i tried to get the beta that didn't help and i was just wondering what the issues was and wondering if you could. i looked in the error message folder as well and its empty.

Your new update, like your last several suck. It is sssllllooowww to load most webbsites. Watching a video is frustrating, pausing every few secons. I am SICK OF EATCHING THAT WHEEL GO ROUND AND ROUND. What is most frustrating is your damned "Update" looser, piggy-backed of of a windows update. I DID NOT want an update, because you idiots cant create a update that doesnt screw up every aspect of peoples browsing or interne5 experience. To m,ake it worse, you cowards hide. There is no way to contact a HUMAN, your help is a bunch of questions that are never answered by [redacted]. Since nobody can write a workable update, Get a job at a fast food joint, and hire people who give a damn, an can actually write something that [redacted] WORKS!!!!!!! People should NOT have to spendd ays fixing an update that is worse than a virus.

I have been getting this error message for over a week now, PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. My internet is fine and I have restarted my computer a few time since the problem started. I have added some sites to the Exceptions list but even then they don't work properly. I have tried refreshing Firefox and changed the profile and they both didn't fix the problem. I am sadly not knowledgeable enough to make sense of the Web Developer Tools. The attached image is what my YouTube page looks like after add the site to the Exceptions list.

Every time I run browser it messages me that downloaded file contains a virus or malware, even I deleted the file long time ago. I tried Ctrl+J "Remove from history", "Clear downloads" and Organize/Delete that entry - Nothing helps. Its deleting, but when I run Firefox its appears again and again. This bug is terrible annoying, please fix it.

In the image below you will see a large photo with thumbnails to its left. I should be able to "mouse-over" the thumbnails to access the related image, or simply click it... but yesterday that all stopped working in Firefox. I just installed "Brave" and it all works fine. Was there an update change that could cause the function to stop working? Pleas let me know if there is any on going issue regarding this as it seems that only Firefox is not able to pass the YubiKey 5 FIPS AAGUID during webauthn enrollment. In chrome this is working correctly.

I am no longer able to log in to eBay using Firefox. I am using Firefox 78.15esu bc I have an older Mac that will only support up to Mac OSX 10.11. I was able to use eBay up until this morning when the site asked me to log in again... and verify that I am indeed a human through the hCaptcha checker. The checker cycles between identifying horses and lions... and every time, I seem to pass but then comes the message "Failed to pass Captcha, Please try again." I can access eBay using Safari and Chrome. Right before the failure today, the rendering of the eBay pages was odd... needed 3x the screen width to see the whole page. eBay says that the problem is on the Mozilla side of this issue... mostly because I can use a different browser without problem. I think I am in agreement with them. I don't really want to use a different browser but I will bc I like eBay, too. Please advise.

I made a fack saved login called ilove123.com

and i had the password be 123

i then clicked the three bars selected help selected more troubleshooting information and selected open folder of my profile

i selected loginsjson searched for ilove123 and it was found

i then removed the saved login ilove123.com

and i repeated the process of reopening profile folder

i selected loginsjson lookked for the login it was not there

but when i selected loginsbackupjson

it was there!

which can only mean my login that i accidently deleted is also in the loginsbackjsonfile of my current profile

but how do i decrypt it?

Edit: I have since tried the "Refresh Firefox" feature, which deletes all extensions, and still have the same problem. I have also turned off hardware acceleration, same results.

As I long time user and supporter (have donated and even got a shirt to show!) I have never had any issues with my beloved FF. If anything minor had happened, I would always find a quick fix on the community forums.

This one is an odd ball: for a while now Firefox forgets all saved passwords but only after a cold reboot (not a restart or sleep).

It's my elderly mum's laptop, which I manage for her using a remote desktop app. It's a fairly new Asus Vivobook with Win11, fully updated and free from viruses and hacks as we have installed paid versions of both Malwarebytes and HitmanPro.Alert. My Windows desktop runs exactly the same OS and those two security software, and my FF never ever forgets anything! The only difference is that her Windows and FF are set to the Italian language while mine is English.

After trying a "refresh", I exported her passwords and bookmarks and took the drastic step of completely wiping FF and even removing profiles. Reinstalled the latest x64 version and the problem is still happening.

Had a good look at both security software to ensure there was no funny setting to cause that to occur, fact is the laptop also runs Chrome and Edge with all the same saved passwords yet those two pesky browsers never forget anything!

Personally, I'd much prefer for her to continue to use FF rather than the other two, so I am shouting out for HELP, please! Hope someone has seen this and/or knows how to fix it.

Hello, since today I am experiencing instant crash on start up. It was perfectly fine yesterday (10 hours ago). Even attempting to open safe mode when offered also instant crash. Firefox is currently unuseable.

I believe the recent 124.0.1 is the issue ? Can this be confirmed, where can I check if this issue is widespread & the ETA to an eventual fix ?

I want to visit http://bispebjerghospital.dk/ . I have seen on https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/www.bispebjerghospital.dk that it's DNS isn't propagating correctly, so I turned on "MAX PROTECTION" for DNS, hoping that it would let me see the site.

But Firefox showed me "Unexpected error" the first time I went to the site. And then I clicked 'always allow' and now it just spins and spins with no response visible.

How can I visit the website from one of the countries with red X's on whatsmydns?

My problem is this:

If I click on the open new tab button, and then I keep my cursor there, such that I get the little tooltip "Open a new tab (Ctrl+T)..." , Firefox will stop the address bar from updating---it won't show my keyboard inputs, not will it search, or do anything else. This will resolve itself after I move my cursor away from the open new tab button and the tooltip stops showing, even my inputs will appear there.

This quite annoying, especially when opening a tab to search for something quickly...

Every now and then every tab on firefox would just refresh at once. I would be watching a youtube video or just browsing the web when everything just freezes and then refreshes and I would see the loading icon on every tab.

I've been using Firefox as my primary web browser, but I've been experiencing frequent crashes, notifications, and slow performance issues. I've updated the browser and disabled some extensions like the downloaders and calculators, but the issues persist. Has anyone else encountered similar problems with Firefox, and what steps or troubleshooting techniques did you use to address these crashes and speed issues?
