I received, on 5/9/17, a pop-up that the above patch was needed. Malwarebytes Premium would not allow installation, so I did not install. Today I noticed that prior downloads of updates came from addresses ending in ".net". The rejected patch was from an address ending in ".com". Should I use this as a flag for future purported updates ?

After a very recent update to FireFox May 2017, the url address bar in Firefox 53.0.2 no longer shows the current URL in the address bar. While a portion of the current URL shows in the "tab" not knowing exactly where you are prevents one from possibly correcting a typing error to get to the right location or being able to copy and paste a web page url into an email or other document. No, I do not want FireFox to be like a phone, or Google Chrome, or any other product!

I want "My FireFox" back!

When I go to info Fox News, another account that says Fox comes up first. I have twice clicked by accident and both times a screen says a virus has been introduced to capture all computer entry and sent worldwide. It gives a number to call to pay for release. I shut down, bring back up, and then run security without finding anything. This could be, or maybe is, a great problem. The site is listed as link hidden by moderator

Hello all, For reasons of privacy, I want to be able to change the OS identifier in the user-agent string that is sent with every http request. I remember with older versions of firefox this could be accomplished in about:config and changing the useragent string, but this doesn't seem to be an option with newer versions. I have tried on both firefox for FreeBSD and Windows 8.1, to no avail.

If it is assigned at build time, could you please direct me to the area of code where this is handled so I can fork the code, change it locally, and build it for personal use?

This is the string I am trying to change: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0

I suspect it may be stored in one of the files in the ~/.mozilla directory, and while I wait for a response, I will be picking through there.

Thanks in advance,

I don’t want to be rude or disrespectful towards you volunteers at Mozilla Support, but I wonder why I don’t get any support on two questions I posted here.

The first one was posted almost 1 month ago ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1157093 )… The second one 10 days ago ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1159272 actually a repost of the first one with a shorter and clearer explanation of the issue - I thought that might help, and there was also a banner on top of the page about an issue at the support forum)...

Essentially what I ask for is a confirmation of the issue and whether or not I could file it as a bug. Not really complicated, I thought.

Why are my questions ignored for such a long time?

A prior upgrade to Firefox resulted in Firefox no longer properly displaying pages from delta.com. This has been an issue with the 32 bit version for at least one year. Just switched to the 64 bit, version 53.0. Same problem. No improvement.

So far, Delta.com is the only site where I have encountered problems. But others report no problem with the website, using V53.0, 64 bit.

Content is not properly formatted/configured on the page. Blocks of content overlap other blocks. Content that should be side-by-side ends up with left-hand column displaying at the end of (below) the right-hand column

This problem is weirdly specific, I have tried other browsers and firefox is the only thing affected, so its firefox specific. When I first open firefox, firefox itself opens and loads within seconds perfectly fine, I can do things with it offline perfectly fine (like using it to open a file) But when I try to go to any website, it takes ages to load and function normally. It doesnt even matter how many tabs I open, I can load one website, or three, it takes the same amount of time.

Once it has loaded the website(s) it functions completely normally! I can load new websites or pages just fine, and everything works perfectly, until I close firefox and open it again. Its driving me insane because I'm not going to just leave firefox open at all times (This is a gaming PC, I try to not have too many unnecessary programs running in the background)

I have tried several things, I reset firefox, didnt work. I have reset my PC, didnt work. I ran firefox in safe mode...worked! So it must be a add-on or extension, right? ...Nope, turned them all off one by one and every time it didn't work. (I only run uBlock anyway)

So whatever the issue is, has something to do with something safe-mode would prevent/turn off, but not add-on's/extensions.

EDIT: Forgot to also mention, I tried clearing cache/cookies/history as well, so pretty much everything short of a completely clean re-install of firefox with none of my personal data, but hoping to avoid the nuclear option if I can.

Firefox (32-bit) constantly crashes since updating to v53, I've tried to disable most of my extensions but with no luck, and updating to v53.0.2 didn't solved the problem. It can work some time but when I refresh or load new page, it sticks for some seconds and then shows crash report form, and I see it ten times per a day.

Problem is that these crashes only happen on internal resources (e.g. our local TeamCity server) from offline Firefox profile, so I can't just send bug report using crash report form. I've copied report files from pending folder of my offline profile to the same folder of online profile but I still can't submit it because clicking on report at about:crashes page opens About Throttling page. How can I force submission of this report?
