Was running Firefox 50.something, and was offered 51.0.1 via Help / About. Pressed the button in that dialog to upgrade.

Now Firefox won't start -- it brings up the Mozilla Crash Reporter dialog. Pressing "Restart Firefox" from that just brings it up again.

Starting with profile manager ("firefox.exe -P") and creating a fresh profile doesn't help (the "Firefox - Choose User Profile" dialog works, but "Start Firefox" just crashes).

Starting in safe mode (as it occasionally offers me, or with "firefox.exe -safe-mode"

(Thus, I haven't tried the irreversible-sounding "Refresh Firefox" option, as I think the above steps imply that it is unlikely to help.)

Crash IDs (all submitted today by me, in chronological order): bp-e1156367-12d1-42af-b90e-b0fe22170127 bp-d90c6dcd-f9ed-4c6d-a6e9-5f5302170127 bp-5eae3f6e-e3f5-490b-afc7-edc312170127

At least one colleague at the same site is suffering a similar problem. This is a corporate site; it's possible https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websense-startup-crashes-firefox applies; I'm not sure how to tell whether that version of Websense is installed.

I have this big space between my Yahoo search bar and my email list. It looks like an ad should be there. I can't see the Firefox bar that let's you block or unblock things. Twice it has popped up and I could click on the Close Ad button, but normally I can't see that to click on it. This just started this weekend. It looks like there was a Firefox update of some kind then. How do I get this gone??

Hello,

I am using a Web GUI Management portal to access and manage my network equipment. The default certificate was recently revoked for this and so I renewed it and have uploaded successfully. Works fine on Chrome and IE, however when I get to FireFox it says the below:

The owner of <website-name.com> has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

Please can you explain why and if there is a fix. I am connecting via HTTPS on all browsers.

Thanks, Connor

Can access and browse on Amazon.com, but can't add item to my wish list, or delete item either, or use cart. Those functions work fine in IE, and worked in Chrome which I used before switching to Firefox. Should I switch back to Chrome, or is there a compatibility issue with Firefox and Amazon? My Kaspersky puts sites like Amazon into a "proctected" browser window to protect my financial data, is there an issue with Kaspersky? Thanks

Hi, Has there been a recent update that has made fiefox go a bit funny? For the last couple of weeks when using firefox, I have seen the browser slow up (particularly on facebook), until it his the point where you can't do anything with the mouse and it crashes. The only way to resolve it, is to open task manager and end the session. I have reinstalled Firefox several times and even cleared my browsing history, passwords etc, but nothing has helped.

Noticed most of these have the signature as: @ pcache1RemoveFromHash Have all of my plugins on "Ask to activate." Thought it was due to google maps at first, but it seems to crash randomly. Also use yahoo mail if that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have noticed so many problems with FF and nothing Mozilla recommends helps because there seems to be a ubiquitous defect with the browser. There are tons of video and image issues that occur on various sites which cause videos to not play or crash and images to not show up at all. Added to that, FF randomly crashes for a wide variety of mundane reasons. Other browsers don't seem to have these issues but I stick with FF because they have a few add-ons not available on other browsers. I remember the day when FF was a great browser, free of any issues at all. I guess those days are long gone.
