When typing "skype" into address bar, the bar suggests there is an open tab somewhere, with a dodgy Skype-related URL I have never visited. I can't find this open tab. If I just type "skype", it takes me to that URL instead of a search engine site.

I updated skype just before I noticed this, but it might be coincidence. I've since uninstalled skype, but the problem persists.

I've tried using safe mode with add-ons disabled. I've refreshed Firefox. There was one thread on the forum with similar problems (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/979878) , but their solution didn't work for me.

Any ideas where and how this open exists?

I have FireFox version 40.0.3 running on a Dell XPS laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.

When I right-click on a tab to "Bookmark All Tabs" in a window, the dialog box that pops up is really long and thin...I mean, "scroll across the entire width of the page a couple of times" long. (I'd estimate that the box is about 150px high and almost 4000px long.)

What's more interesting? This box is getting longer the more often I bookmark stuff.

I go to a senoir chat room .....buzz50....before I had IE...it was causing puter to freeze so I switched to FF.....had volume in chat room when I had IE but none with FF , volume every where else tho....tried all options in chat room still no volume

I want to sync from a to b, I mistakenly synced my work computer -c- to my laptop -b-. I want to sync my home desk computer -a-- to my laptop -b-. How do I now do this?

Please let me know what to do. Cause i am really used to mozilla and i am not realy keen on shifting to chrome :(

This happens in Facebook, but also on other websites. I am using Windows 10, but this happened when I was using 8.x as well. I am not using ANY dictionaries EXCEPT English.

This article: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Prevent_websites_from_disabling_new_window_features says to open '"about:config"' and change all '"dom.disable_window"' entries to true to prevent windows from opening without the toolbars. As you can see in the clips, the only bar on these windows is the address bar. But only a few of the icons on the bar are displayed. Compare clip 1 and 2 to clip 3. What more needs to be done with this to keep the toolbars?

Hello, When I try to access tumblr it gives me Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain and no option to carry on to the site. It's only doing it with this site, I haven't made any recent changes that would effect this. My date is correct, I am not using a conflicting virus software like kapersky, I just have ad-aware. I ran firefox in safe mode with no change, it's been doing this for two days.

The mail support.mozilla.org page comes up blank in Firefox. If I use Chrome, it will display!!! In fact, in order to register with Mozilla support to ask this question, I had to use the Chrome browser! Unfortunately, the same is true for many sites with the green lock on the address. They will not display in Firefox but will in Chrome. As FF is my default browser, this is extremely annoying and has only started with the latest versions of the browser. Is there a fix for this problem? Thank you.

I am not even able to install add-ons from Firefox's own add-on site. Yes, I did check the security section. Even though addons.mozilla.org was already on the whitelist, I went ahead and added services.addons.mozilla.org to the whitelist and I still could not download any addon. I then turned off the warning, and it still would not let me install the addon. I also restarted firefox each time to confirm the change was saved.

I would like to receive much more intrusive web notifications so that I can actually notice them. But I see no option in firefox to customize how notifications are displayed.

I see in about config one undocumented option: notification.feature.enabled What does it do?

Is there a way to make firefox web notifications on linux more noticeable and void them disappearing after a few seconds? Maybe add sound as well?

Using ff 40 on fedora linux.

I can type on subject line or to address but not on main page. How can I correct this? I am having to attach a message since I can not type on the main body. I have tried restarting Firefox and the computer. I do not have this problem if I use Safari.
