When I add a new bookmark it is put by Firefox at the very far end of my bookmark list. I have a VERY long list... :) It´s a nuisance, it takes a lot of time and effort to drag my added bookmark to its proper place i.e. in an alphabetic order. Is Firefox capable of ordering bookmarks AUTOMATICALLY? What is the procedure for that?

Usually the tab is a site that is trying to advertise, or get me to fill out some form, etc.

It's very irritating that these sites have the ability to stop me from closing them immediately. Most of them carry data mining components, so the longer they stay open, the more likely they are doing something on my computer -- it seems to me that Firefox (which I prefer as a browser in every other way), by allowing the drop-down is complicit in their activities.

The earlier version of Firefox did not run this plug-in container. Every time I would remove it from my processes it would kill videos etc. But, it was all fine in the older version of Firefox, so why the change? So I chose not to update Firefox. Then, the other day, I saw that is was automatically downloading and I turned off my computer because it wouldn't stop and I didn't give permission. When I got home I could not use Firefox and it took me hours to figure out how to get the internet back. Then I got Firefox back and this stupid process is running again. It takes up too much memory. I don't like a bunch of extra processes running like that. So, why can't I just use the old version? Is this process absolutely necessary?

I receive a message that indicates this JAVA console 6.0.02.03 update is available for download and installation. After installation Firefox displays a message that this is no longer supported and will be removed the next time firefox is loaded. This has happened several times. Although this may not be related, I am also having regular "unresponsive script" messages displayed, especially with FEBE.

While posting in forums I drag and drop text within that form. An error window pops up stating, "That is not a valid URL." I click ok and move on, thinking it's a bug on their end. Today I did the same thing in another forum. I dragged the word, settings within that field, but this time, a webpage opened up, settings.com and I freaked!! Something is causing all open forms to be treated as if they were address bars. I thought I'd post here first, just in case it's a know bug, but now I'm off to scan my system, just in case it's a bug on my end.

I updated to Firefox 3.6 a few days ago. I used it briefly, and then was away for a few days. At some point while I was gone, all of my bookmarks and history were erased. My husband swears he didn't do anything to cause this.

I tried to create new bookmarks, and it will not accept them. I select "add bookmark" or I drag the page to my links toolbar and it behaves as if I haven't done anything. I restarted the computer, and after that, Firefox wouldn't work at all - even in safe mode. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and I am having the same trouble. Can anyone help?
