I did the update to 3.6.11 - After it started Firefox it would go to the requested site in the addressbar, but the page would be blank. I went to check for updates and it told me there was a problem in updating. It gave me this error message: Update XML file malformed (200)

I uninstalled and reinstalled and the same problem exists. Any advice?

When searching for numbers on a business website quite often, though not always, the telephone number only appears very briefly. Copying the web address on to Internet Explorer the number stays visible. Only happens on telephone numbers not for any other info eg email address. Have no idea why this happens as it appears to be random though it must relate to how a website is viewed. Wouldn't where to start to fix this!

while i am in to the internet firefox is opening new windows by it's self with firefox's help.it opens so many windows that my system is crushing down.....i do not know what to do to fix it.i unistalled firefox and i installed it again but i have the same problem.please send me an e-mail to tell me what to do because if you only answer here i do not know if i will be able to find your answer. thanks!

The update scrubbed my bookmarks list. I was able to Restore a backup, but the Organize Bookmarks view does not display them, even though they now appear on my taskbar listing. My Bookmarks toolbar has the correct bookmarks, there is nothing under Bookmarks Menu, and a very few under Unsorted Bookmarks. Obviously I cannot Export HTML to externally backup my list. I also cannot Bookmark this Page, because I don't get the real list.

I upgraded the weather channel and in the process, I was asked if I would like the toolbar "Dealio". I clicked on decline. Now I have the toolbar & would like to get rid of it.

I cannot get to facebook from firefox (or from IE either). I can get to any other sites fine. I can get to facebook and logon from another PC. I have windows XP, and McAfee is security software. Have deletged cookies and history, and re-stored to save point already...help!!

i also wanted to check an activity calender from a website and it says : "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in the Web Browser Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again"> of course nothing works so can you help please?

There are rows of information showing at the top of the screen. I want to delete a row of information that starts with the AVG Icon. I also want to delete a row of information that starts with the ShareTV icon. I don't need to see or use these in the Firefox views.

I followed the instructions for changing the preferences file in XP by looking for the profile folder in the command prompt. Got to the folder, opened it and could not find "user.js". Instructions say to create it if it doesn't exist. How do I create it?

I get how to move stuff around, etc. But i want to see the pic on the left side of the toolbar with nothing over it and if you put the location bar anywhere it goes all the way to the right

After fire fox has located a web site, I can't find a place on the screen to enter a new web site. I end up hitting the "X" which closes the session and I have to initiate Firefox again. or go to the home page. On other search engines the current web site is displayed and I can overwrite that web site to initiate a subsequent search,

I should not have to go somewhere to know what version of Firefox is running on my machine.

So, just add the version on the bar at the top: 3.6.11
