Previously when I opened up Firefox it would go directly to my homepage. Now when I attempt to open it up I have to provide info and get permission on my cellphone. Why is this happening and how can I get it to work as it did before?

Starting today, whenever I switch context into a Firefox window it will freeze for 1 to 2 seconds, which is extremely annoying when multi-tasking. This happens either when switching from one Firefox window to another or when switching from another app into Firefox.

Happening on Firefox 117.0 64-bit, Windows 11 Insiders Build. As far as I have tested, doesn't occur when using other browsers like Edge.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

I am a long time Firefox users and promoter. Due to laptop theft I had to move to a new laptop WIN 11 and Firefox is v 117.0

When developing php pages the errors won't display. The same pages display the errors in Chrome (I know that's a bad word :)).

Is there a setting that I am missing in Firefox to display errors as it did on my old laptop??

I have used firefox before in other computers but it only happens to my mine rig. I could be looking for a video or just browsing and then flickers. It does not happen when I use edge or chrome. And bothers me because i would not use the chrome if this issue was here.

WHENEVER i NEED TO CLOSE MY BROWSER FIREFOX ERASES ALL MY TABS. I MUST USE CCLEANER THAT USES THE QUESTION - THIS IS TAKING TOO LONG, DO YOU WANT TO FORCE CLOSE? (BECAUSE CCLEANER NEEDS TO CLOSE FIREFOX TO CLEAN COOKIES) AND THEN THAT WAY IS THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE ALL MY TABS BACK. BUT THERE ARE TIMES THAT TABS GET CLOSE SUDDENLY AND I LOOSE ALL MY TABS.

THIS MEANS THAT THE WAY FIREFOX CLOSES THE TABS IS FAR FROM GOOD, AND THEY CAUSE TO CLOSE ALL TABS, OR THEY JUST HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DO IT RIGHT.

DO YOU KNOW ANY WAY TO CONTACT MOZILLA OR FIREFOX TO REPORT THE PROBLEM? IT IS A SHAME THAT A BROWSER DOES NOT OFFER FREE TECH SUPPORT- AND I CANNOT EVEN TELL THEM!!

A few weeks ago, as a long time FF user, I noticed that my favourite radio program which I listen to religiously pn Saturday nights, Holger Peterson's Blues Hour offered by CBC radio in Canada, would not load. I tried the next week and the same thing. And again the week after. FF has updated at least once and it still does not play the segments. I am currently running V.117 of FF. I have tried another windows laptop and it does not work either. But it does work on my mac running FF and El Capitan. Here is the link, maybe you can have a shot at fixing this. Sadly, the link work on Microsoft Edge. I am running Audio Equalizer on the Windows machines but it doesn't interfere with anything, including this show until FF stopped being able to play the show. Current on Firefox 117.0, but that has happened on several of the previous versions. Usually see the message after sitting overnight, but not always. Always on the same website Foxnews.com- no other website. I always have 7 tabs up and running 7 X 24. All I need to do is click on the FF reload and all is fine. Also, have stopped all addons to see if they were an issue. Some of my tabs use the tab reload addon, but not this Foxnews tab. Since it don't reload with an addon, I would think Foxnews must have a script doing something and that is my question? Is Foxnews doing something via a script? Since I am not reloading it, then it should just sit there and do nothing. It got the error screen when NoScripts was running, but I have some set to Trusted on that site. Also does it with no addons running. Image below, so far I haven't sent any data, don't even know if that picture wanting data comes from FF or somewhere else, it doesn't say Firefox or Mozilla anywhere. So I haven't really trusted that window wanting data as I don't know where it comes from. That is why I click on the Firefox's reload. Malwarebytes, Microsoft and Webroot finds no virus or Malware.

Trying to order from Etsy, the screen is not displaying the full page. The bottom right quarter of info is missing. This works fine in Chrome. I am attaching a couple of screenshots. I am on a Lenovo Ideacenter AIO, using Windows 10. I am not very technical and a lot of answers are beyond my ability. Is there a simple solution to this? Any help is appreciated.

Within the last day (not sure exactly when) when I try to open Firefox with an external link and there is no existing window, it opens but seems to ignore the link itself. If I then try the external link again with the new window that was opened the first time it will open a new tab and display the link. Up till now it has been working fine and I've made no changes to Firefox for a while, though I do see that my Firefox was updated at about 2am on August 30, two days ago, from version 116.0.3 to 117.0.

I'm running MacOS 13.5.1 Ventura. I did just update that from MacOS 13.5 Ventura. Unfortunately I only noticed this after that update and do recall this Firefox problem occurring before I looked closely enough to know what was happening (that feeling you get when you feel like something is different but you don't quite know what) so I don't know if it only began after the MacOS update.

I did play around with:

browser.link.open_newwindow ,
browser.link.open_newwindow.override.external , and
browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction

settings to see if they might make a difference but nothing fixed the problem. But I restricted myself to settings that seemed likely and haven't checked out every possible combination.

If I wasn't brain dead just now I'd try to give more info but just can't. Sorry. Thanks for your help.

For the past month or so, every time I launch Firefox, it freezes exactly twice:

1. After 5-10 seconds of just being open, it will freeze and stop responding to input. Any animations, videos, blinking text cursors, etc. in the current webpage continue to play as if nothing is wrong. After a second or two of being frozen, it will return to working correctly.
2. I can use it for a few seconds and then it will do the same thing and then eventually turn white and say "(Not Responding)" in the title bar, but always immediately after a click or keyboard input happens. If I open a website and then continue working in other programs, it will not freeze until I refocus Firefox.

Once both freezes have happened, everything works as normal until I close all Firefox windows and then relaunch it later.

I provided the full troubleshooting information report below (apparently it's not public!), but in summary: Firefox version: 117.0 build 20230824132758 OS: Windows 11 version 22H2 build 22621.2215 GPU: Intel Arc A750, driver version 31.0.101.4644 (8/11/2023). I know it's is unusual, but I know someone with an Intel Arc A770, also running Windows 11, who does not have this problem with Firefox.

This does not happen on my laptop, which is also Windows 11, and Firefox Sync is working between them. I'm also using Firefox Sync with my Pixel 6 and iPhone X and neither of those has any issue.

I have already tried:

• Rebooting my PC
• Running Firefox in "Troubleshoot Mode":' no extensions enabled, same behavior
• Running Edge: no freezing issue, but I don't want to use Edge for so many reasons
• Reinstalling Firefox: I ran the Firefox uninstaller, deleted %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox, and then reinstalled. It froze the same way immediately after launching the fresh install, before I signed in and synced all my data back.
• Running sfc /scannow: No problems found, freezing still happening

Are there any further troubleshooting step I can try, debug output I can enable/collect, etc.? This is really annoying and I'm all out of ideas.

The newsletter includes links to my home page, which is a fully qualified domain, https://www.prettypennydesigns.net/ When I check my newsletter, the link to my website goes to Firefox's home page. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I also have a link to my contact page and that link does work. Thank you so much for any help!
