I recently (and without my intervention) found I had two firefox icons on my Windows start up page. I decided to delete one but as soon as I did the other one changed from a fox to a single page of white paper. Is this an issue and can I correct it?

When opening a new tab externally, e.g. via `firefox --new-tab <url>` or `xdg-open <url>`, Firefox doesn't raise its window.

If this behavior is abnormal, note that I'm using KDE on Wayland (Ubuntu 22.04) with "Focus stealing prevention" off. If it's normal behavior, is there a way to change it?

Hi guys. So, I have Avira free antivirus. Can I still install for example Norton web security addon for Firefox? Will there be any problems between my installed antivirus and the Norton addon? Sorry if this is a noob question, but there you go :) Any help would be appriciated. Thanks in advance for any reply.

I tried the crash report, you are not up to date. This was useless.

I am very mad because I have seen a continuing occurrence. Firefox crashes when I am on an alternative website not mainstream media sites. This looks like censorship!@!!!

I don't like it one bit. It has occurred while on Brighteon, Natural News and Locals. At least 6 times and never on other stuff.

All of the sudden I cannot download mp3 files under the "save audio as" . It automatically tries to save it as a htm file. I have never had this issue before. I have downloaded many mp3s with no issues. Am I missing something here? It gives me no option to save it as a mp3, only as a htm

The last 2 or 3 days I cannot access my Pal Pal account through the log in screen using firefox. I am not having any other problems with any other websites. If I try to log in -- it just gets locked up in the processing screen

Firefox keeps logging me out of all of my accounts whenever my computer restarts. I saw other people have this problem and post the solution, which was to use custom settings for history and only clear cache and cookies. I tried that and the problem has still persisted for weeks. Is there any other fix for this problem?

well, most ad provider let you customize your ad preference I can allow virtual realitity devices ads and "turn off" android apps or food delivery apps however, they will completely ignore those settings if they can't show me an ad for my prefered topics specifically, I live in a very backwater rural town, I've paid a good sum to ship my VR equipment from another state, so it would be nice to see some games I can buy from their store, but of course, because I live in a backwater town and they don't sell vr equipment nearby, they will attempt to show an ad for something I can but locally, and you guessed it, they show me ads for ifood and uber eats, despite me telling them to not show me ads for android apps or food delivery I don't mind the ads per say, but between a major annoyance and no annoyance at all, the choice is obvious and no, I don't want white-list websites on ublock, if I could, I would left all websites show ads, if they were actually interesting to me instead of random junk I can find on the app store

Can I rename the .corrupt file to restore my logins and passwords? This seems to have occurred during the last update. I am have heart palpitations. I have no other backups.

I have two .corrupt files created at the same time (see image), but their appear identical. This is odd. Does this even matter.

This problem is a combo of the site and the browser. The problem is that the body text is all jammed to the right side of the screen. I have tried clearing the Firefox cache, and sometimes that works, I have tried restarting in troubleshooting mode, but that does not change anything. Internet Explorer shows the same problem, but the Edge browser does not display the problem. I suspect the site is doing something funky that results in a problem on some pages for some browsers. That's really hard to troubleshoot!

Today, 6/10/22, I did what we sheep are trained to do, click on the latest update. What happened next is excruciatingly painful: EVERY SINGLE--ALL--FAVORITES AND SAVED PAGES--YEARS, YEARS WORTH OF SAVED PAGES AND FAVORITES, ERASED, GONE, WIPED OUT.

WHAT IS GOING ON? WAS THIS INTENTIONALLY PROGRAMMED? YEARS WORTH OF SAVED PAGES, GONE!!!

So I clicked on an excitingly named "restore" type link. Which resulted in only today's subsequent web activity being included.

What are you people doing?

Okay so basically for example lets say i want to permanently just for my screen have this image deleted/or hidden whatever how can I do this without using an extension?

I believe someone brought up usercontent.css?

URGENT - I was logged into USPTO.gov and suddenly could not log in:

bad request this combination of host and port requires TLS

I have tried FireFox and Google Chrome to https://USPTO.gov with no solution. Thanks, John

Suddenly, about two or three weeks ago, it ceased to be possible for me to copy images from websites and paste them into Skype to share.

What is the reason for this?

Is it because Microsoft have somehow blocked this function into Skype?

Does anybody know?

After updating Firefox, all pages are minimized and the contents need to be enlarged everytime I open a page. I also cannot login yo my bank account on Firefox but can on Edge and Chrome.

"Sorry, the video player failed to load.(Error Code: 101104)" - this error message happens on some sites but not others. I believe there are more than one type of streaming transmission but do not know how to determine which is failing. For example, the streaming daily report on Democracynow.org fails while the reports on http://www.bbc.com/news/video_and_audio/international does not. This has been a problem for weeks now. I view both of these sites every day but must now use Microsoft Edge (ugh) to view democracynow.org.
