I use firefox since I go to college. When I got some problems, I try to check firefox use what to pick folder? I use Manjaro Plasma. I find chrominum use kdialog. But firefox looks not though both use gtk3 as UI

Firefox choose folder got wrong when use a USB HDD

Since about 2 weeks ago many AOL attachments are not opening (pdf.s are but others eg Word not). I have read thru' previous messages on this (in 2021) but turning off enhanced tracking has not fixed it. My attachments open in Edge and Chrome. Like others I would like to stay with Firefox but cannot live with this problem. Help please

First, I apoligize if this is not correctly posted here but this kind of fit multiple categories.

I love Firefox and have used it for quite a long time. However, recently I have had multiple issues, most which have not been resolved. This issue however needs to get fixed because I cannot do this every time. For some reason, if I close the browser and open it again, my account has been disconected and it wants me to log in again. I did find a post regarding this from 10 months ago which a user stated the following:

"Your ‘logged-in’ status is stored in special cookies. If the cookie is removed, you are logged out.

You may be in Private Browsing mode or told Firefox not to remember.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off."

I followed this hoping it would be the end of it but it still keeps on happening. If I can't get a solution to this, I will have to use another browser. I hate to think that will happen as no other browser has been as good a fit as Firefox but as I am sure you can imagine, this is getting to be too difficult of a process to do 10-20 times a day.

I am sick of the unannounced updates that occur without prompting me. Edge doesn't do this and I'm fed up with Mozilla unannounced updates. Going to uninstall Firefox because of unannounced updates.

Ever since the Firefox upgrade to v100.0 (Win10 64-bit), Firefox locks up whenever it spawns a new, external process. This happens most frequently whenever the website to which I'm connected (doesn't matter which one) attempts to print or read in a file on the hard drive. This is especially true for email sites, where these functions are most often called from within FireFox. No error code appears and it's not immediately evident that Firefox even has an issue. It just becomes completely unresponsive. I have to call up the Task Manager and kill the Firefox tasks to exit. When I reinvoke Firefox, it restarts the tabs I had open at the time I killed it. This never happened before v100.0, and does not happen in any other browser. I have a friend with a Windows 10 machine who has exactly the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Hi New Dell Inspiron 15-3000, installed Firefox 100 in new laptop, transfered all files via LAN from old laptop All websites work ok except 2 of the 4 banking websites I use. One site will not accept my login the other will open after putting in my login twice Have gone to "troubleshoot mode" and both sites work , go back to "normal" and they do not work Any clues how to fix this, not to technical please I am not a computer whizz and all children have left home Many thanks Ron Managh

As from v100.0, Firefox allows users to "set their preferred color schemes for websites".

Ironically, this does not addresses complaints from users, including me, who wish for a consistent Light theme all across Firefox.

Even if "Web site appearance" is set as Light, the following still remain dark:

• Background of main drop-down menu (Containing "Sync and save data", "New tab", "Print", "Settings", etc)
• Background of right-click menu (Containing the refresh icon, "Save page as", "View page source", etc)
• Background of "Please enter primary password" menu
• Background of auto-filled user name and password menus
• Background of elements in a bookmark folder
• Background of Downloads menu
• Background of Print menu
• Background of "Clear all history" menu
• Background of "Find on this page" menu
• Background of "You are about to close X tabs" warning menu
• Colour of title bar for "About Mozilla Firefox" window, when the window is not currently active

Being able to set "browser.theme.toolbar-theme" permanently as 2 would fix all of the above, but users are still (Note: Since v96.0, when this complaint was raised) prevented from doing so. Why?

Downloaded the latest version of FireFox, and have somehow lost the toolbar for my bookmarks. Have tried suggested things mentioned that i can find to no success. How do i get this much neede item back, HELP please?

Suddenly, when I search the web with a topic search term, e.g. "thrombin", I get the error message: 'The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) is being used.' Can you help me resolve this problem?

Hi. On dictionary.com when I type in a word in the search bar and press enter, it works fine, but when I am on a definition page on dictionary.com (not the homepage) and I type a word in the search bar and press enter, it does not work. The page does not respond.

Also when I am on biblehub.com and I type in a reference (like Genesis 1:1) in the search bar at the top and press enter, I get directed to a blank page: https://biblemenus.com/topmain/send.php?q=undefined

In the search bar at the top of biblehub.com I must click the magnifying glass icon in order for it to work, which is annoying.

Note that a while ago (I don´t know how long ago) these things used to work correctly. I don´t know whether a Firefox update caused the problem or whether it was a change to the coding on the webpages. I am on the latest version of Firefox. Neither of these problems happen on Chrome.

Hi, Could someone tells me how to deactivate the startup popup upon each firefox start which says (translated) "thanks this is 100th version of firefox, start navigation", or is it to stay until the 1000th annniversary ? Thanks

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. I would like to stop the default behavior of firefox displaying in the tab that contains my GMail how many unread GMail messages there are -- in other words to delete "(9)" from the attached photo and never have the count displayed -- if it could instead simply say "Inbox - xxx@gmail.com"

When I open a website, the message "Firefox is already running" comes up every time. Task manager says nothing is currently running. I have to click "close Firefox every time I go to a website. Can you help? Thanks Alan Murray

I moved my old hard drive to a new ssd. Everything works but Firefox . I uninstalled and reinstalled when i try to use it I put in a search term hit enter and nothing happens. Also the drop down on right side nothing can be used

When I did the reinstall a error message came up about The code execution can not be found because VCRUNTIME 140-1 was not found reinstall Firefox again I did that did help
