I had not saved Private Bookmarks in my old Intel+Rosetta Stone 2 Before Accepting to Upgrade :-(

These bookmarks we about US Tax Filing by October 15th after which you know there are severe penalties for failing to do this, as the deadline is already extended

Please help me how I can restore those lost Private bookmarks. I would be super happy because it is of highest Urgency and Importance

Had firefox on my old Windows 7 computer with lots of sites bookmarked. Just bought new computer. When I download firefox to my new Windows 11 computer, how to I get all of my bookmarks back from my old Windows 7 computer? Thanks

I want to password protect a bookmarks folder. I downloaded and switched on the "Private Bookmarks" extension which as I understand it should have created a "Private Folder" under "Other Bookmarks"...I closed/re-opened Firefox and nothing. What step am I missing in this process and how can I get this extension operational? Thanks for your assistance.

Hello, Everytime I view pages, or websites they are automatically arriving in my Bookmarks page. I only ever wish to make my own bookmarks, and add only the items I wish, and retain How do I stop this practice as quite often I lose my own customised list.? Thanks

I am trying to transfer my firefox bookmarks from my old computer's hard drive to my new computer. they are both fairly current laptops, and i believe both are on windows 10 (the new one is on, i think, whatever the newest version of windows is). I cannot turn on my old computer, so I can't export the bookmarks, but the hard drive is fully functional. The problem is, I can't find where the bookmarks are located. I have tried looking through the files, I have "show hidden files" on, I have tried manually searching for "places.sqlite" and I have tried doing the %APPDATA% thing. I can see other folders on the hard drive very easily, so it shouldn't be the fault of the hard drive. If you know how I am able to find the files, please go through it step-by-step; I'm not proficient in computer things, and something that may seem very obvious and instinctive to you may be what I'm messing up on.

I have deleted data from Appdata folder(which includes browser data), then in my browser bookmarks were not showing, then I reinstalled Mozilla and started sync, Some of the recently made bookmarks are still missing.Can I recover those missing bookmarks.Could you please suggest.

I opened firefox and it said that I had an older version and that i should create a new profile online so i did that and logged in. I use firefox everyday and had never seen this message before. I created the new profile and logged in and all my bookmarks are gone. I went to about:profiles and it shows 2 profiles but only the ones that i created yesterday. Oddly, i don't ever remember creating a profile before this. I would just open up firefox and it worked like a normal browser. Now that I have a profile the bookmarks aren't there. I have hundreds of folders called "From Internet Explorer" inside of these folders are different number of links sometimes hundreds of links that just say "Suggested Sites" with a globe at the start. I have no idea where they come from I don't have any of these in Bing/Explorer. Getting rid of them is very time consuming and I think they come back.

The New Bookmark dialog window should save the last used bookmark folder and use it for the next bookmark, both for one click and for double click on the bookmark star.

This should be standard functionality of any dialog window.

No add-on mimics this simple feature.

A couple of months back, and entire bookmark folder suddenly disappeared. I assumed that I had inadvertently done something to cause this, though it had never happened before. Today, not only is another folder gone missing, several others have as well. I am using Windows 10 Pro, Version 1909, Build 18363.900. I recently switched to Firefox from Chrome for security issues, but unless I can figure out what is happening here, I am going to switch back. Any ideas?

I have favourite most used sites on my toolbar - e.g. gmail, facebook. From last week each time I open up my computer if I want to go to one of these I have to sign in all over again. This never used to happen. It is driving me crazy. Any idea how to stop it happening please? Otherwise I shall have to stop using Firefox.

I have just purchased a new iMac. The retailer instakked all myold software, including Firefox. When I opened Firefox I found a number of bookmarks for companies with which I no longer have any deakings, and I tried to delete them, following the proceedures in Firefox Help. But it didn't work, either way. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of these annoying bookmarks?

My bookmarks keep reverting to an older pre-cleaned up state. I have turned off sync and after a day they are back to the messed up version. I go from 1471 w/ duplicates to a restore of 805 cleaned up. What could be at issue?
