I've spent a lot of time doing all this, to no avail. If I change browser I don't have the problem. I've been using Mozilla browser since before Firefox was invented and never had a problem before. You've changed something in your latest upgrade which has caused this problem.

I use an iMac (2019) and MacBook (2015) but my tabs aren't syncing between the two.

I've refreshed the syncing a few times but the MacBook is still showing two lots of tabs for the iMac, and both of them are showing pages that are no longer open.

I'd really like to be able to move between the two so if anyone has any suggestions on how to get FireFox to sync, I'd be really grateful. :-)

I was interested in seeing how the profiles worked so I clicked yes to creating one, but once I set another one up I realised I would have to use a separate Mozilla account on it and I would prefer to keep everything on one browser and account. I tried to delete the profiles but it said it would delete all my bookmarks and data, is there any other way to hit undo or something and go back to the way it was before (without profiles)?

Given Mozilla's core commitment to privacy and user agency, using local LLMs seems like a perfect fit for:

Privacy-preserving browser assistants: Using Firefox extensions to interact with local endpoints (e.g., localhost:11434 for Ollama). Local content analysis: Summarizing or analyzing web pages without sending sensitive data to third-party cloud providers. WebGPU research: Exploring how local inference can be integrated more deeply into the browser experience. Are there any ongoing projects or planned features that would allow users to connect their local AI endpoints to Firefox? Or is there a recommended community-driven way to implement this via extensions?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this direction.

Earlier this week, I was able to view routes in the Routes section of Strava without any issues. Since the recent browser update, that feature is no longer working for me.

Strava is one of the websites I use most frequently, and being able to access routes is important to my daily use. I’ve confirmed that the feature still works in Safari, but I would strongly prefer to continue using my current browser.

I also went through Strava’s help chatbot, and they indicated the issue is likely browser-related. Since this was functioning earlier in the week and has since stopped, I wanted to report the problem and see if there’s a fix or workaround available.

I cannot connect with my on-line banking site. When I try, I get the message "Bad Request--Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. I am able to access the site using another browser, so there cannot be a problem with the site itself. This situation has only existed since Firefox did an update. So, the problem must lie with Firefox. If it is not fixed, then I fear that I will have to discontinue using Firefox as my online browser. I was having an odd issue the other day, that I now solved by comparing the settings on a working Firefox profile with mine.

For some reason, on one of my multiple Firefox profiles a list of web apps wasn't working. Among them were Discord, Miro Board, and Google Pay. I was suspecting that they all had the same issue, but didn't know what it was at that time.

The security settings were the obvious suspect (Ad-blockers, DNS, HTTPS enforcement etc.) because clearly something was being blocked, however nothing helped. The solution was in the Network settings. (See screenshot) I was using Manual proxy settings from the time I messed with I2P networks (or something similar).

I am not sure why having a proxy to localhost (127.0.0.1) on HTTP would somehow cause very specific major apps to stop working, while others keep working fine, but it happened to me anyway.

For anyone in a similar situation, with those particular apps not working, check your proxy settings.

Recently I had a problem with Firefox opening a second icon on my Macbook. In order to fix it, I uninstalled and then re-downloaded Firefox. I tried to put everything back to the way it was before but I still have a problem with some websites not playing video. Most notably, Instagram and Blue Sky. I have attached screen shots. I have set Firefox to playback videos automatically but this has had no affect. Can anyone help?

I have paid for and tried to download VPN. It Failed . On further investigation my Mac is running ios 12.7 and is not compatible with VPN. How do I request a refund. Rod Philson [edited email from community support forum]

For a while already (week or 2) i'm trying to activate 2FA on my account, but i always get the following error

"There was a problem enabling two-step authentication. Check that your device's clock is set to update automatically and start over."

I tried it on multiple laptops (all macbooks) with and without VPN and on an iPhone, but the error is the same everywhere.

The error shows in the final steps, after i downloaded and entered a security code. It brings me back to the account page with the error

I am unable to activate the built-in VPN. I am in a loop of getting started -> Activate Firefox’s built-in VPN for extra privacy and protection' then I click 'Continue' and then I get again back to 'get started'. The built-in VPN never activates. I am signed in while doing that and I am using a macbook to run firefox.

I asked on 11 January 2026 Help for finding back my cookies. Got an answer by e-mail, but this disn't help to find my cookies and so I cannot manage these. Who can tell me please where I can find all my cookies? Thanks in advance. Regards Theo Koeppen

When I login to Google, I'm usually asked to do more than 1 catcha. Sometimes, they continue until I can't do any more and use Google Chrome. I have poor eyesight, and this is getting very annoying.

Firefox claims does NOT save site/URL visit information while in Private Mode. And I thought that was true. However, I just discovered that Firefox DOES SAVE Private Mode URL/Site visits - in this specific place. I don't know how long the history will be saved - it looks like at least as long as the Window is open. I want to keep most of my open Private Tabs open - but want to Delete/Clear the ones I'm done with. I thought/understood that Private window/tab/visit info was not tracked/saved - and it's not saved in History, or Searchable. But it appears that this doesn't apply to the Recently Closed Tabs MenuItem. And there seems to be NO 'delete' or 'clear' option for this field. I can't find any reference to the subject in the Forum or Articles. The picture I've attached is NOT of the Recently Closed Tabs while in Private Browsing, but is the same MenuItem and field contents. Thanks for your interest. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to delete/clear this specific history.
