I have floccus extension installed to sync my bookmarks to my WebDAV server located in private network. The floccus bookmark sync is successful when the build-in VPN is turned off, but it reported NetworkError when the build-in VPN is turned on.

The time zone stamp when using my default browser Firefox is 3 hours off. If I use Safari, it's correct. The problem occurs when using Gmail or Yahoo. It is only when using Firefox browser that the time stamp on email in incorrect. It is a Firefox issue and happened during the most recent upgrade 5/12/26.

I'm stuck signing into VPN. My email address is shown when I click on VPN in the menu bar but there's no on/off toggle. I click Get Started, it says "Signed in Successfully! Next: Turn on VPN" — but there's no place to do this. It says "Go to the open panel" – what is an open panel? There's an x in a dark circle next to the VPN in the menu bar. It feels like a continuous loop and I'm getting nowhere – that I can tell.

FYI I was having issues signing onto my citizens online checking account and also signing onto my email account with comcast. After a while I disabled the NOSCRIPT extension which solved both issues. I believe this problem may have coincided with release 150.2

Using a Mac Monterey 12.7.6 and uptodate firefox.

Trying to use "tree style tabs". I'm trying to drag and drop a tab named "CHILD" to a tab named "PARENT". Instead of appearing in the tab PARENT the CHILD tab disappears and its content is added to the PARENT tab.

I would prefer the child tab to nest within the parent tab.

Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! When I opened up my Firefox this evening, I was greeted by a message stating that I now had access to Firefox VPN with version 150. When I opened up the link showing me how to activate it, I noticed I never got a popup on my browser stating to turn it on. Later when going through the instructions it recommended I try to add it from my toolbar but it was not there either. I am not sure if this was a bug or not but I am really excited for this feature and would love to test it out as soon as possible!🫶

When I open Firefox for the first time after logging in to my macbook, after a few minutes, a second Firefox icon appears in the dock at the bottom of the screen. Why is this happening (only started a few days ago)? And how do I stop it?

Recently I had a problem with Firefox opening a second icon on my Macbook. In order to fix it, I uninstalled and then re-downloaded Firefox. I tried to put everything back to the way it was before but I still have a problem with some websites not playing video. Most notably, Instagram and Blue Sky. I have attached screen shots. I have set Firefox to playback videos automatically but this has had no affect. Can anyone help?

I went to settings to make sure Firefox Home was the default loaded on New Tabs, which it is. How do I fix this?

With the rapid growth of local AI, I am interested in how we can better utilize local models—specifically via tools like Ollama or LM Studio—within the Mozilla ecosystem.

Given Mozilla's core commitment to privacy and user agency, using local LLMs seems like a perfect fit for:

Privacy-preserving browser assistants: Using Firefox extensions to interact with local endpoints (e.g., localhost:11434 for Ollama). Local content analysis: Summarizing or analyzing web pages without sending sensitive data to third-party cloud providers. WebGPU research: Exploring how local inference can be integrated more deeply into the browser experience. Are there any ongoing projects or planned features that would allow users to connect their local AI endpoints to Firefox? Or is there a recommended community-driven way to implement this via extensions?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this direction.

How then am I protected in any kind of secure way?

All it would take is the Mozilla services using my public IP to lose my browsing protection. How are those connections secured to protect my identity from being exposed once the VPN is enabled and even after the VPN is enabled?

If the public IP can be discovered at sign-in, re-connections, and public Wi-Fi connections before the VPN is enabled, then that same public IP can be traced through internal logs to uncover all the VPN activity done after sign-in, re-connections, and public Wi-Fi access. So, how exactly can I trust the VPN protects my activity at all?

I'm just curious how you setup any protection prior to the VPN being enabled? I'm a former IT Network Specialist I had my CISCO CCNA certificate (Worked in school districts who wouldn't pay for additional certificates so I did all the study work and practice testing up to the CCNP certification just could never afford to take any of the exams beyond the CCNA). So, when I see these additional things like your 50 GB of free browser VPN and read how it works I get curious about the actual protections being provided. Are the people more vulnerable than they may be led to believe?

Today (4/27/2026) I am suddenly unable to log in to My Account on various websites (eMail, grocery store...) The business page opens but when I try to go to the account login page, I either get a blank page or the page spins and spins and never goes to the login page. I am able to get to the logins on Safari. I've cleared cache and cookies, and closed out of Firefox and reopened.
