I have most recent release of Firefox and also just updated MacOS to 11.5.2. After updates the histograms on the Wordpress blog stats page do not display. They display fine on Opera. I did clear cache — that didn't help. I quit Firefox and restarted — that didn't help. Firefox version for Mac version 91.0.1 (64-bit).

I assume this must be a Firefox bug, but am open to suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Also, when I click the checkbox for "Email me when someone answers the thread" it will not accept the check. Irritating.

I'm using Firefox Portable. For some reason, in text fields, firefox will randomly "paste" (for lack of a better term) the localhost into a text field and act like it's pressed enter. It can occur when I'm changing tabs, typing, and occasionally when I'm doing nothing at all.

Is there any way to stop this? I've updated the software and tried reinstalling. I don't have any extensions or anything added to the base install. It happens randomly, but more and more frequently. These are new Windows 10 computers (mostly Panasonic FZ-55s, some Dell Toughbook models), and I can't find anything on them that would be causing this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got the "new & improved" version 93, and it doesn't seem so improved. I can barely write this, as it keeps stopping and starting, and acts like we're underwater! It's using about 15GBs of RAM, and while I still have plenty on-hand, it's barely functioning! Come one, what's going on, will this browser ever just work?

I have no problem using Chrome , Brave browser to access pages on my dev server. My front end (React) is on localhost 3000, server is localhost 3001. This used to work, just two weeks ago. I'm on FF v95.0.2.

I've tried everything, headers in my index.html, cleared cookies and cache, various network settings, ran it in troubleshooting mode, restarted FF. I have all cors request enable on the server.

Anything I might be missing ?

edit: Found my mistake, had another app opened on the same port , apologies.

Good morning. When I go to the Medicare.gov site and log in, there is a search box to search for things. It asks for zip code and provides a drop down menu to select from. After I do this and initiate a search it just shows a spinning wheel and does not provide the results.

No problem with my internet connection or speed and I turned off enhanced protection and I am allowing pop ups for the site.

I did this on my Samsung phone and it worked fine.

Thanks for any help.

In the last few weeks FF has started running really slow. Launch takes 4-5 minutes, the browser won't navigate to any webpages. Preferences can't be opened. The force quit window show the app to regularly moving in and out of a "not responding" state. I had version 95.0.2 installed (the latest). I'm running OSX 10.15.7 (catalina). I uninstalled an reinstalled 95.0.2 and the same problem persisted. I downgraded to 94.0, and created a new profile in the process, and still had the performance problem. Chrome and Safari don't have the problem, and my machine is running as expected with all other apps. I don't have any sites load upon launch. I have 16G of RAM.

Since I can't open prefs, I can't purge caches or anything like that.

Hey, I my FF just updated to the latest version and all was going fine and dandy for a little while. I've noticed FF hogging a bit more resources lately but that might be unrelated / more to do with changes to twitch or the like but I feel I should mention it.

After about 20-30 minutes of browsing, checking my emails etc the browser responded as if it lost connection. I did the general troubleshoot run on my network which came back with no issues found, no other program on my computer had any problems with internet connectivity. But just to be sure I checked all the wires and restarted the modem.

Now FF starts loading webpages but then get stuck partway and just stands grinding its gears. I'm currently using chrome to try and find a solution / write this and it works without problem.

I currently have all 3(!) of my extensions disabled and it has changed nothing. I do notice that in the general settings tab in FF it does seem to be "Checking for updates" continuously.

This is extremely annoying, please help me fix this asap!

This morning there was an Ubuntu software update and afterwards Firefox wouldn't work, it just opened and hung without ever connecting to a website. So I uninstalled, purged and reinstalled from Ubuntu Software and everything seemed ok. However, whenever I now try to save something, for instance images, the save to directory will default to /run/user/1000/docs even though I have my downloads folder selected in settings. I can change to the directory I want to save to and it will save there, but when I next save something it will again want to go to the /run/user/1000/docs folder. Further, I find that a copy of anything I save has also been saved into that folder, creating a new sub-directory to do so. I tried clear data in settings but that didn't delete those files and they are protected in file manager so I can't delete them myself. This will fill my hard drive pretty quickly as well as being really annoying having to change the save directory every time. What can I do to rectify this? I've now got version 96.0 (64 bit) installed.

Hello!

Since some weeks, I'm getting really often crashes of tabs, and I don't know why. I tried:

- deactivation of all add-ons
- repair of Firefox with the repair option
- uninstall, reinstall
- suppression of all add-ons
- deactivation of options "Use recommanded performance settings" and "use hardware acceleration"

I don't know what to do next, the problem remained through all the stages of this process. Here are my 5 last crashes reports:
