Firefox keeps going unresponsive after 10 to 30 minutes. I tried creating a new places thing. It didn't work, and oddly still let me restore my old session and kept my bookmarks, which it said I'd have to re-install. I'm only running two extensions, U-block and NoScript. It will go Unresponsive, remain so far minutes at a time, briefly return and then immediately go unresponsive again, just long enough for me to close a tab or shut down. Nothing I have done seems to fix this. I am on the latest Windows 10, Desktop, latest Firefox.

I can not press the "Backspace" on YouTube using Firefox, but my keyboard works fine cause in Chrome and Edge it works perfectly, I've already refreshed the tab and still not working. Have any idea of what's going on?

Hi, I have a probem. My PC broke down. I lost all my data. After i reinstaled Firefox on my pc and Connected it to Sync, i was not able to get my bookmarks back. I see them on my phone under - Bookmarks - Desktop Bookmarks, but i can' t see them on my PC. I tryed to sync them, but nothing. I remember that when this happened last time, i just loged in and got all my bookmarks back, but now i have lost half a day, but got nothing out of it....

After installing the Native MathML extension (to get MathML typeset equations on the Wikipedia, as suggested on mediawiki.org), all equations set by MathJax/MathML turned to using STIX instead of Latin Modern. I'd like them to stick to Latin Modern instead.

The only possibly related setting I've found is `font.name-list.serif.x-math` in about:config, whose value is `Latin Modern Math, STIX Two Math, […]`. I tried to manually change the font family specification of some text to see if Firefox could use Latin Modern Math to begin with, but apparently it can't (see first screenshot attached), while it loads STIX allright (second screenshot). Latin Modern is not the first locally installed typeface I haven't been able to use, but it's the first one I have really tried to (I don't remember which one the other typeface was).

My Latin Modern font comes from TeX Live 2019 installed using the TUG installer, not Fedora's package manager. `fc-list | grep -i "latin modern math"` returns `/usr/local/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype/public/lm-math/latinmodern-math.otf: Latin Modern Math:style=Regular`. I'm running Firefox 87 on Fedora 33.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and MS Office 2019 Professional Plus and need to re-install a lot of stuff. I want to download Firefox to use as my default web browser. When I download and install, the icon shows up on my desktop all right, but when I click the icon to open the browser, the tab says "Problem loading page" and displays "File not found" error message (screenshot attached here).

Does this have anything to do with the "Sync" option that keeps popping up? I don't know what that means, except it looks like it wants to "sync" my computer with my phone or any other devices, which I don't have any interest in.

Is it possible for Mozilla Firefox to develop a feature that can delete downloaded files directly within the browser, like Edge does?

First of all, thank you for browsing and answering! Whenever I download a file by mistake, I have to go to File Explorer to delete it, even though Firefox can locate the downloaded file directly, but this still wastes some time. So to save time, can Firefox also introduce an option to delete a file after right-clicking on the downloaded file, just like Edge?

I had to delete all my profiles and completely reinstall Firefox because Firefox was not changing the color of previous websites to purple no matter what I tried. I thought I could delete the profiles and create a brand new one to start over fresh.

After reinstalling Firefox (latest version) I have run into a problem where under <about:addons> <Plugins> it shows a yellow box and an error saying "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. will be installed shortly".

This message won't go away and Widevine will not be installed at all. I cannot browse and Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max etc.

I have tried unchecking and checking the <Play DRM-controlled content> under <about:preferences> which does not work.

I have also tried going to this (link)link and manually installing it but the webpage for my OS's .zip file won't load for me.

The "View History Sidebar" command is missing from the History menu after updating to Firefox 87. Is this a bug or was it intentional? The Bookmarks menu still has the "View Bookmarks Sidebar" command.

While I found it possible to work around the issue via Customize and adding the "Sidebars" control, this is quite unintuitive and awkward to have to use two different buttons in order to access your history. (IMHO, the History menu should just show the full history to remove the need for the sidebar, but that's a separate discussion.)

Get this message in pop-up window. How can I fix it?

I went to a government site and filled out a form letter and each time when I hit the VERIFY key the reCAPTCHA function tells me I have a bad connection and to recheck it. When I hit the refresh (circle arrow) link, it works. It happened on another non-gov't site and did the same thing. I did a Firefox refresh and that didn't help. It seems that version 87 has some bugs in it methinks. Any ideas? thanks

My computer was updated with the latest linux and the latest firefox browser. I want to create folders in my bookmarks. All the help answers say to go to Bookmarks and click on 'Menu'. That does not come up as an option. All I get is: Show all bookmarks; bookmark this page; bookmarks toolbar; other bookmarks. I can't find anything similar in tools, edit, or file. I also don't get 'Edit Bookmarks' like was in the last edition I had.

I want to take a screenshot of web page. Pressing PrtScn by itself or with Fn or Windows key simply brings up the dialog box that says Pressing F7 turns Caret Browsing on or off... Why is it so difficult?

My time zone is knocked down 3 hours ago, you can see it on the screenshot Did a restart with disabled Add-ons, did not help. Also on another computer on linux with the same firefox account. I ask for help.

Hello there, I recently downloud a new version of Windows 10 in my laptop and since then I cant open You Tube. I got this link https://www.youtube.com/oops and "something went wrong" message. The image below is what I see when I try to go to You Tube by Google search or tipping the link www.youtube.com

Does anybody know how to resolve this issue. Please explain in an easy way as I am not to savvy doing troubleshooting. Thank you!

I have the bookmarks tool bar open with the ability to click on the two arrows on the right to see additional bookmarks. I have recently tried to bookmark some links like I always do and they don't show up in the toolbar. Anyone else have this problem? I did not change any settings. Did the recent update change some settings I don't know about or is this a bug. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Why can't I use right click menu in Alert Dialog? I select the text in an alert dialog but when I press right click the menu will not show up. I works in Chrome. Why not in Firefox? Any way to have it work?

I'm all but finished with Firefox now. I have been loyal for years, but since moving to a new computer there have been multiple problems, especially with Lastpass password manager. Life draining.....

After many problems, I did manage to get it to work: IE: By working I mean that I would sign into Lastpass using the icon on the address bar. Then, whenever I opened a tab for a password protected website, it would auto-fill.

So, what has gone wrong now is that whilst I can sign into Lastpass (using the icon on the address bar), and the Lastpass dialogue box appears, instead of the dialogue box 'populating', it remains blank (as per the enclosed pic). Something has blocked it.

I think this started happening after I added 'AdBlock' to the address bar (I have now subsequently removed it).

And why did I have confidence in 'AdBlock'? Because it appeared in the add-ons in the Firefox menu, so I naturally assumed that this was a Firefox recommended add-on.

SO, I suspect that AdBlock has caused this problem, but I don't really know. All I know is Lastpass is not working, whereas it does on Chrome.

Will I ever get the hours back for time wasted writing this? Or the other previous merry hours of ‘fun’ just trying to restore the Lastpass icon onto the address bar. Simple? Not in a million years!....

Over to you. Do you care? Can you sort it? Or is this going to be the straw that broke the camel’s back? "Chrome here I come and bye-bye life draining Firefox; for this relief, much thanks"?
