Is it possible? Scenario:

Open a tab on mobile phone. View tab on PC. Close tab on PC.

I don't want this tab open anywhere anymore. Is there a way to close the phone tab from my PC? Not being able to do so makes this feature cumbersome and of limited use.

Thanks

I have multiple PCs running, all have firefox sync running and are on auto update.

Since version 100 I have firefox profile issues on all PCs. If firefox is open it stops responding without any notice. After closing and re-opening i get message that the profile is not compatible and firefox cannot continue. I then need to quit, and download the latest Firefox version manually using MS Edge ! Only then I can restart firefox and this reads my profile fine. So the profile is not corrupt or missing !

I guess it is caused after one of my PCs is auto updating first and then saves profile in new version format which is not compatible with the previous version still running on my other PCs.

Why was this never an issue before version 100 ?

I hate to disable auto update nor do I want to loose sync. Cannot find this issue on your support pages or the web.

A fix would be highly appreciated !

when creating an account, i simply typed in my age (21), but something went wrong and i ended up w a message that my age is too small and that its impossible to create an account. hilariously enough, i managed to repeat the process and successfully log in w chrome, but i cant figure out how to solve this issue within firefox itself. basically closing and reopening it wont work cuz i still get same age too small page

When I click a link in a Thunderbird email (release 102.7.2), the browser STARTS to open a new window but then closes without showing the link content and returns to Thunderbird. If I change to make Chrome my default browser, that (Chrome) works fine. What change do I need to make to Firefox? I checked in THUNDERBIRD help under "Important Modified Preferences" and no setting beginning with "network. " was set to false (as per the T-bird help page).

Hi, I'm using my personal Firefox account at work, but would like to only sync passwords and open tabs. When I change the sync settings in Firefox at the work computer, the corresponding sync settings are also applied to my private devices (Windows PC, Android tablet and phone), meaning my bookmarks, history and everything isn't synced between my private devices. However, I'd like to keep synchronization on for everything on all private devices, just not for the work pc except for passwords and open tabs. Isn't there a way to have device specific synchronization settings when logged into the same account? Or is it that whenever I change which items to sync, it gets applied to my Firefox account and therefore is applied to all devices I'm logged in? Sorry if I worded it weirdly, let me know if there's something hard to understand in my text. Thank you!

I have a remote device previously connected and synced (everything with tabs). That remote device is showing up in my devices list on the account management web page (https://accounts.firefox.com/settings).

But Firefox doesn't show the remote device and its tabs, neither in hamburger menu, nor in the sidebar, nor in Cloud Tabs button. But that remote device and all its tabs is still present in about:sync. I was able to export all ~300 tabs with some hackery.

My question is why I can't see that device and its tabs the normal way?

I have Sync properly enabled because it shows me some other irrelevant device and its tabs. I use last Firefox 110.

Hi there! I uninstalled/reinstalled as part of troubleshooting, because I was having a sound issue (resolved now.) I signed into the same account I was using previously, and the sync process seems to complete, but nothing is being imported into my local Firefox. I tried signing out/in, closing/opening, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of articles on the issue. I'd really appreciate any advice you can offer. Thank you so much!

This topic has come up before. Firefox Sync means that if you do something on one Mac whilst using Firefox, and you have another Mac on a monitor next to your first Mac, anytime you do anything in Firefox on one Mac, a second Firefox icon appears in the other computer's dock. And it moves constantly. Very annoying.

If you try and hide the dock, nope, it reappears.

The "solution" is to turn off Handoff in macOS system settings, but that takes away a lot of functionality I need.

Is there an internal fix within Firefox settings to stop this constant new icon to move all the time?

Thanks!
