Can you suggest any functions or apps that I must or should avoid? It's important that I NOT use a VPN, and that I use 'open-source' in a probably 'shared access' situation. GRM PL

So, this is going to be an incredibly weird question, but is anyone else having this issue? As of about two days ago, any time I try and load a video on youtube it will refuse to load for upwards of 30 seconds, however if I toggle the new stable volume option off/on it instantly loads. It will then play for about 2-3 minutes or more depending on video length (sometimes way more) before the buffer bar will stop entirely, take over two minutes to load the video again, then keep playing. More often than not doing this multiple times per singular video. Often times it won't even load anymore at all and I am forced to refresh the page and toggle the stable volume once again.

I've tried disabling every single extension I have, including ad blockers, restarting the entire browser, and using a different account, and it still happens no matter what. However it is not an issue that occurs on chrome or edge, so I'm at a complete loss of what is causing this. Looking up this issue comes up with next to no results, so is it possible this is a youtube issue or is something seriously wrong with my browser and I need to re-install it?

wise.com is a site I've used for a long time with Firefox. Now I can't log in. Access is still available from the Chrome browser, but I prefer Firefox

Firefox on Linux does not allow entries in forms that are called up in IFRAME. It works perfectly on Android.

Does anyone know why this is the case? Uwe

Back in October 2022, changes were made to how private windows appear, separating their icon in the OS taskbar, giving it a new icon, and putting a badge on the top right of the window.

At the time, support threads (such as this one https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1393494#answer-1542568 ) suggested changing three options to revert these changes: -browser.privateWindowSeparation.enabled -browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-indicator -browser.privatebrowsing.enable-new-logo I really dislike how these changes look, and so immediately followed this advice. In my advanced options, every one of these is still set to "false" to this day. However, after a recent Firefox update (my current version is listed as 127.0), these no longer seem to have any effect making the new look the only option.

I would strongly prefer to at least re-combine the taskbar icons for standard and private browsing into a single icon. Is there any way to do this in the current update, or is this change permanent going forward? If it is permanent, would reverting to version 126.01 risk losing my current Firefox profile?

I lost my Outlook365 with the latest Windows 10 update. When I reinstalled I went through the preferences to select Firefox as my default browser. I have been using this for years and every time I picked a link in an Email it would open a new tab in my existing browser.

Now, regardless of anything I try it continues to open an new Firefox browser, with pages included since this started on the weekend.

What settings am I needing to make to correct this. I have gone through the config settings and selected 0 in the browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction with no success.

Why can´t my email within Outlook not be shown. "error" Your email cant be shown at the moment. Try again lather or check your Internet connection.

In other browsers an android phone there is no problems. P.s. I have just updated Firefox. to version 127 for Linux Kind regards Bent

With some emails in Outlook on Firefox, clicking on a link within the email gives me a new blank window, with its address line saying something like this: (name of original site, then) ".list-manage.com/track/click?u=ca38acd 82fe622b7" etc etc... This doesn't happen with all emails, but often enough and in some of my most-used sites... I'm on a new HP desktop. Can anyone help?

I have been trying to contact support about an issue regarding being able to change my account password to the page at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/mozilla-account/form, however I cannot seem to submit any information. When I try, the page reloads, followed by multiple uncaught errors observed in the console, including a cross site origin request block error (in the latest stable Firefox). My browser settings use the standard browser privacy setting, and custom DNS.

Regarding the error I was trying to report, I am unable to change my password, receiving "incorrect password" despite entering the correct current password. In the browser console, a POST response with error 400 is shown.

I'm running both versions of firefox on my mac by renaming the .app for nightly. However, when I click on a link on an application, it seems to default to my nightly version instead of release.

For both versions, the "default browser" setting is enabled. One thing I tried was letting chrome take the default again, and setting it from the release version after. Both versions then showed it checked again. I cannot uncheck it from the beta version.

It seems they might be reporting to the OS as the same app for this purpose.

Another thing I tried was changing the app name in it's Info.plist. Now, I see a new name in the menu bar and it shows as a distinct browser in the OS' "default browser" settings. However, it doesn't seem to solve my issue. All links still open in the Beta, even if the only one currently open is Release.

Is there a way to have it default to the normal version of firefox?

I've been trying to install an add-on that is in the .zip format. I set xpinstall.signatures.required to false and restarted the browser, yet Firefox keeps telling me the add-on cannot be installed because it's not verified. Is there a way to change this?

i keep getting sent to .ca sites instead of the .com that i had typed in and wanted to go to ie: yahoo.com discovery.com

There was no yahoo.ca or hotmail.ca when i got my email accounts and i only deal with originating networks Discovery.com not ripoffs like ctv.ca/discovery.

hi, i had to reinstall all my windows , after that whit the new fire fox reinstalled , many pages that load well now they dont , problems of autenticitcity, broken page page icon over images.

in my tablet and phone dont the same pages load well and in the computer too before the reinstall.

Websites say that my Javascript is disabled, but I already checked on the about:config website and the javascript.enabled is set to true. What do I do so these websites accept that my Javascript is enabled?

Until a few days ago, my Firefox would save all the tabs from the previous session. But now it does not, and I still have all the necessary settings enabled. I noticed that it will save the previous session IF I use the Firefox "EXIT" from the "File" menu. However if I use close the session using the upper right hand corner Windows close box (where the "X"), it does NOT save the tabs from the session. I also notice that when I close the Firefox window using the Windows close box, that Firefox (several) show still running under the Windows Task manager, but not when I use the "File:Exit". Running the current FIrefox version 127.0 (64-bit) under Windows 11.

Hi! I don't like the automatically updated extensions -feature, it seems to have been turned on nowadays, it has been maybe a year or two when you had control to update them by hand! I don't like this feature and it seems to now be in every browser that I use, Firefox, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi! Is there a way to turn this function off? Maybe a commandline function or an editable thing in a configuration file! Other browser developers should also think about this! I think Firefox has been a good browser to use, I used to use Opera but changed to Firefox quite accidentally when having to install things again!

For months now I can't cut and paste if I use Firefox. I am not remotely interested is uninstalling a heap of adds in a vain attempt to fix the issue. I can use Google chrome and Wonderfox which don't suffer this issue. I fail to understand why Firefox is alone in this problem. I would switch to Wonderfox as a default but it only works on SSL sites. Please stop ignoring this issue and fix it. Running Windows 11 fully updated on an AMD cpu.
