Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

I cannot see the text I highlight for copy or links so I don't know if it's copied or not- is there a way to adjust that? It's very irritating..

 Ever since the latest update, I couldn't go to my sites including to the bank sites!! And some of the sites like daz3d.com and growfinancial.org is buffering badly than usual! Could you please fix this problem asap. Thank you

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with all the latest Windows updates installed; running Windows version 23H2. Firefox release I'm having problems with: 137.0.2.

Just upgraded to release/version 137.0.2. The first time I open Firefox each day it takes about 2 to 3 minutes for ANY website to load. Sometimes when a web page does eventually load none of the images display.

I have tried same websites using Google Chrome AND Microsoft Edge. Websites don't have problems loading using either of those 2 browsers unless I have Firefox open in another window. If they load slowly, as soon as I close Firefox, web page load quickly in Chrome or Msoft Edge.

Not a RAM problem because I typically have around 20% of my RAM being used.

Did not have any of these problems using Firefox version 137.0.1.

UPDATE: Thought maybe it was one of my add-on/extensions so I checked for updates. Four needed updating. Made the updates and website still no loading properly.

I use the google search engine with the mozilla app on my phone, but every time i do a new search i get logged out of my google account. This didnt happen before, how do i fix it?

Hi Mozilla, I'm a loyal and longtime user and have had no major problems I can remember in the last 15 years. Recently, however, I've found that over the last seven or so months I have had great difficulty managing my New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com) and New Yorker (https://www.newyorker.com/account/profile) accounts. I have had to update credit card information, change passwords and update personal information and I've only been able to do this by switching to an alternate browser (usually Safari). I'm constantly told that I should be using Chrome with them, which I DO NOT want to do. Can you find out why Firefox won't fully work with these sites? after upgraded to 137.0.2 ... 'settings, general page, applications,ms-settings' calls for 'Use Settings (default). since i keep all app settings at 'always ask' what is this new setting, or why did it change? thankyou

hopefully We can fix this specific and relevant problem.

Many Clients texted me complaining over connectivity and access problem to johnfante.org web site.

They get a message "this site could be risky" potential threat detected (view in the screenshot) or generic ssl error on the screen (ssl certificate screenshot from browser console).

The fact is that We, as a Host, and the Webmaster too, both checked web site many times and the code is clean and the SSL certificate is active and it's working out.

I have no problems to access & connect to web site in Google Chrome whatsoever, but the access is barred with firefox.

Please please I've got many messages from my clients this term, They're complaining over "security" messages or SSL problem with Firefox.

Is there a solution? Are You working actively on a fix? Or, most importantly, is there a work around solution that I can give to my clients?

Hi anyone got any suggestion on how to get the Firefox search bar in the middle of the page, like before please. I do not like using the search bar in the taskbar, i know. First World Problems!! ;)

It would be nice if the sync function actually synced something other than just my bookmarks and my browsing history between my Firefox installations. I mean, I checked all the boxes, so theoretically it should...but no...it never does. Toolbars don't sync -- I know, for some reason that's "by design" (or laziness?) -- Settings don't really sync much (maybe a few do when the moons of Jupiter and Uranus are in perfect alignment).

Could you maybe consider syncing the various exception lists in the Settings?

I have recently installed Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 21H2 build 19044.5737 I am getting following error while surfing some web sites using Firefox latest version. There is no problem with MS Edge.
