Periodically I open Firefox and all my cookies have been deleted. I go into settings to find "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" has been checked (NOT BY ME!) again. This is very annoying as I then have to log into all my websites and go through 2FA. This is annoying to the point that I am posting on this site for help. Next step is find a new browser that doesn't screw up my work-flow randomly for no reason.

With last updates on firefox desktop..(2 last updates)..every update reset all my websites logins..I had to relogin again in all my websites..what happened?..is normal?..or error?

using linux cinnamon, have to continuously sign in to my sites. I didn't have to do this before. what can I do to stop the cookie deletion or whatever is causing this??

Although I remain logged in to sites and cookies show in DevTools, the cookies list in settings>privacy>Cookies_and_Site_Data>manage_data shows as empty, no cookies listed.

In troubleshoot mode, the same blank list. I haven't changed any settings. network.cookie.cookieBehavior is set to 1 I'm on windows 10 Home 22H2

The update to 147.0.1 seems to have caused it. Please advise.

Yahoo and facebook are not recognizing my device and always ask for me to sign in with 2FA...Facebook asked if I want this to be a trusted device - I select Yes and next time I log in, password and text code....Yahoo Mail the same...asking for 2FA. I did not ask to be cut on and cannot turn off!!!!

I only cleared the cookie for Blogger and cleared my cache. I was logged out of Facebook, Grok, ChatGPT, Linked in and X and possibly more websites I haven't visited yet. I wasn't logged out of Google I don't think. I don't use Google for logging in anywhere and cookies aren't cleared when I close my browser.

The image I uploaded is all I am getting. I even got on line one on one with my McAfee and they got on my computer. I need help guys. Is not just browse, I am also having issues accessing the website I know my account has been compromise. All I did different is add 2 adds on that were recommended by Mozilla and I removed them but it looks like the damage was already done.

Good day,my firefox has been acting weird for the last weeks.Everyday I have to re-login to all the sites I have been to,as if it doesn't save.E.g my email,I might login today,but tomorrow i have to re-login.Or youtube,today i login,tomorrow i have to re-login,confirming that I'm the one by going on the phone and pressing the correct verification number.Please,would you like to help me with this,so that i no longer need a phone and so that i no longer have to re-login the whole time.Some sites i had yesterday aren't even here now.

On a previous install, this was a non issue. I recently had to reinstall windows entirely, and went to download Firefox first thing, but have been having an issue where even though every setting to delete cookies is off, I have the "enhanced tracking protection" set to custom, with everything ticked off, there are no extensions, no anything to seemingly cause the issue. I even signed out of my Mozilla account just to see if it was a sync issue. It still occurs. Firefox has been keeping me signed into literally everything, except specifically Google services. YouTube, Gmail, photos, everything. Any fix?

Здравствуйте, у меня возникла проблема: пользуюсь браузером с компьютера, в какой то момент , каждый раз при закрытии окна все аккаунты на всех сайтах разлогиниваются. Приходится каждый раз везде снова авторизоваться. В чем может быть проблема? Где то капался в настройках, разрешал сохранение cookies но это так и не помогло, может быть я просто не все места нашёл и не везде передвинул бегунки.... Вроде в некоторых браузерах бывает такая настройка, специальная. Если она есть в фаер фоксе - скажите, пожалуйста, как её отключить? Если её нет - подскажите какие ещё могут быть варианты?

I'm trying to log into my gmail account, but every time I try, I am sent to the clear cache and cookies page. I have cleared my cache many times and still am unable to access my email on my computer through firefox. Can I get help with this? Thanks in advance!

I am following all the online instructions I can find to turn off private browsing on Firefox - in Privacy and Security by clicking on 'Remember History' for example, and also restarting laptop - but it is not working and I must constantly log back into all my accounts and websites, including my e-mail account. I need assistance with specific and exact instructions how to remove private browsing and explanation why not working what I have already tried. Thank-you for your assistance.

I am having problems using a third-party website, playing chess, and one of the functions on their website is not available to me because I keep getting an error message. they have a forum on which I am discussing this issue with one of their Mod's, and he seems to be under the impression it has something to do with my Browser (Firefox 115.32.0esr) storing site data, and that the file in which this is stored has become corrupted in some way. I have no idea how he arrived at this conclusion but that is what he said.

I assured him that, "in Firefox, under <Privacy and Security>, in <Cookies and Site Data>, there is an option marked: "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed." this has a tick box next to it and on my computer this has been selected for about the last five or six years. the browser does not retain site data or cookies and deletes them each time it closes. when I follow the instructions you linked to, and click <Manage Data>, there is no data to manage. it does not exist."

however, he replied to this that: "I don’t think that setting deletes Local Storage, though I’m not 100% certain."

one observation I make is that when I open the <Cookies and Site Data> <Manage Data> dialogue, the websites I have visited in the current session are listed. this data therefore does exist, and there must therefore be a file, even if only temporarily, containing this data. my question is about what exactly happens to this file when I close the session.

1) is the file emptied of data, but still exists as a file.

or

2) is the file physically deleted so that it no longer exists.

if, after the session, I reopen the browser and select the <Clear Data> dialogue and click <Clear> does this simply empty the file or does it physically delete the file. if the file still exists, is there any way to ensure that it is physically deleted in order to confirm that it is not corrupted in some way?

Hello, I have some issues with Firefox keeping my logged in my Google account. When I close Firefox it logs me out of Google. I have tried some methods from other threads on this site but still without success. I have the setting for delete cookies on Firefox close to off and have tried Firefox remember history and use custom settings. Thank you for reading this.
