your recent upgrade removed my side panel search bookmarks except those that have icons ( icons only)! No description of icon. Those that don't have icons have links but can't read with out hovering for seconds. Impossible to find links quickly!

I am trying to organise my Firefox bookmarks into folders on my Mac Studio. However, when I try to use the highly-touted "just drag and drop advice" it does not work. It doesn't work in the drop down and it doesn't work in the bookmarks manager. Drag and drop functionality works elsewhere on my Mac just fine.

Note, if I open every single bookmark, click on the blue star, then re-assign the folder it does work. However, that it a mighty pain in the arse.

Since I know it will be asked...'yes' both Firefox and my MacOS are up-to-date. And 'no' I haven't upgraded to Tahoe.

I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks!

I cannot move or remove bookmarks on my laptop. The bookmark tool appears locked and does not allow it. Is there another way to move the bookmarks to bookmarks toolbar? My laptop is a MAD RYZEN 5 3500.

Just bought my new Acer Lap Top Downloaded Firefox on it. Trying to bookmark some of my sites. It first let me bookmark them. Now they have all disappeared and it will no longer let me bookmark anything. Can anyone please help me?

Bookmarks keep changing to globe ocon and nothing happens when I cilck on them. I have tried suggested solutions but without success. Can I get technician to access my laptop and sort out like with other Apps support etc?

my windows 10 PC was saving my bookmarks perfectly and storing in bookmarks after pressing the "save" star (star turns black) until dec 4 but its no longer putting them in the bookmarks menu anymore even though star turned black? then also after numerous attempts to no avail a "edit" pop up came up and after pressing that it did not even come up with the drop down "save" option just a big nothing. My bookmark features has stopped working. When I click the star, it does not turn blue and I cannot bookmark anything. Is there a fix? I have stuff in the bookmark area and would not like to loose it.

I'm using Linux (openSuSE 15.6, latest updates). The system has multiple monitors and for daily work I've two instances of FF running - on every monitor a different one.

After login both instances will be started simultaneously and try to access the bookmarks configuration. This simultaneous access seems to prevent the bookmarks configuration to be loaded. Instead, FF informs that bookmarks shall be loaded from some place.

This behavior should be corrected.

This has gone on for years now and never seems to get fixed.

Bookmarks within a folder will randomly change order. Most will stay in place, but a few of the latest ones I added, which were at the bottom, will suddenly jump to the top.

ich verwende Firefox 143.04. unter Windows und sortiere Lesezeichen in der Lesezeichen-Symbolleiste als Baumstruktur mit 1-2 Ebenen. Beim Anlegen eines neuen Lesezeichens aus einer geöffneten Seite via [Strg+D] wird es automatisch angelegt und in der Lesezeichenleiste gespeichert. Bis hier ist alles soweit okay, auch wenn ich mir hier einen kurzen Dialog gewünscht hätte.

Wenn dieses neue Lesezeichen per Maus (Drag and Drop) in die Ordnerstruktur eingefügt werden soll, klappt sich der Ordner im Baum auf, sobald man mit dem angefassten Lesezeichen in die Nähe kommt. Gut.

Aber: Wenn mit diesem "am Haken hängenden" Lesezeichen in der Ordnerstruktur nach rechts in die nächste Ebene navigiert wird (Ordner klappen nach rechts auf und zeigen die bereits darin befindlichen Lesezeichen), dann schließt sich diese Ansicht und man muss mit dem Lesezeichen am Haken nochmal von vorne / oben anfangen.

Das ist ultra nervig und die Sensibilität des Programms war früher nicht so filigran eingestellt.

Es gibt sicher auch einen workaround (Lesezeichen-Verwaltung separat öffnen), aber das ändert nichts an dem veränderten Verhalten und ich umständlich. Haben Sie evt. ähnliche Erfahrungen oder Berichte anderer Benutzer? Anbei im Screenshot dargestellt der Weg.

Idee / Wunsch: Können Sie die Empfindlichkeit beim Ziehen von Lesezeichen etwas "entschärfen" oder eine simplere Eingabemöglichkeit implementieren (z.B. jede Ebene durch eine Mausgeste fixieren, sodass die nicht "unter der Nase zugeht")?

All these years, when I bookmark a page, that bookmark used to, then, be at the bottom of bookmarks. I assume that means the bookmarks were sorted by the date they were bookmarked. Lately, that is completely gone. When I bookmark a page, who knows WHERE it sits in that long bookmark list?!? It's THERE if I search on it but it used to be so handy... it was right there at the bottom of the bookmark 'manage' page!! Am I missing a date tag or something??? SO annoying. Thanks.

Ok - My Englisch is not the yellow of the egg, But - Ich habe Probleme beim Aufräumen der Lesezeichen. (I have problems with organisation of the Bookmaks) Meine SideBar zeigt 2x den Bereich "Lesezeichen-Menü" - keine Ahnung warum. (My SideBar shows 2x the Area "Lesezeichen-Menü" - I don't know why.) Ich möche meine Lesezeichen in Ordnern organisieren (I try to organize my Bookmarks in "Folders" by theme) Aber - wenn ich die Einträge verschiebe, sind sie doppelt vorhanden. (But - if I move the entries, they appear double) Wenn ich einen der doppelten Einträge lösche, sind beide weg! (If I delete one of the double entries, they disappear both!)

Kann sein, dass ich nicht verstehe, wie das organisiert ist ... (Maybe, I don't understand the organization of the entries)

So I am unable to add a bookmark and almost of my bookmarks are gone. But when I manually type in a place that I know is saved as a bookmark, the blue star is there and it shows it is saved in the folder that I put it in, only problem is that it is not there. If I try to move it to a different folder it says it moved but it isn't in the new folder either.

I am using windows 10 PRO 64-bit

Ever since the recent update changed how bookmarks are viewed on Android I can not change where I want to save a bookmark it just picks whatever folder was used last and will not show any others for me to select when I try to.

When i sort bookmarks by 'added' in the bookmark library, the most recent bookmark that shows in the list is almost two years old. However the missing bookmarks are there, but it seems i can only find a newer (than 2 years) one if i know a word that is associated with it. Is there a way to fix the bookmarks library so the last two years of my bookmarks actually display in the library?
