Every time I boot Win 10 Pro, a half dozen Firefox pop-ups complain as indicated, as well as the wrong google page login (Voice instead of Calendar). There is no Firefox showing in the Windows>Task ManagerStartup> list. Firefox(143.0.4 (64b))> settings>General> Startup> has only [check for default]. I cannot find the controlling 'Startup' controls.

I've only had the new laptop for 2 weeks, it was working OK (except for new Outlook and cannot revert to old when I try) and suddenly today, I can't access F/fox any way I try) Bing constantly hijacks Firefox when I try to load it; cannot re-set firefox as default from Bing page; attempts to re-set default from M/S Edge continually revert to Bing.

(I've been using firefox for over 20 years and DO NOT want to change.) Please help!!!!!

Today I logged in after the new update. (Oct 4th). Firefox was stuck in a loop for looking for updates. I went round and round, couldn't solve it, finally decided to reinstall. When I reinstalled it said I already had an installation and asked if I wanted to open the existing application and keep all my settings etc., or not. I tried opening the exiting application, but it kept looping back with the same question, not opening the existing application. I ultimately told it to start fresh, even though I knew I would lose all my configurations, addons, etc. I then spent quite a bit of time reconfiguring everything. I turned on synch and kept the synch key. I closed the application, reopened it, and it put me back to the original screen for installing afresh, asking if I want to open the existing application or start again and lose all my configurations and data. It wouldn't let me open the existing so I reinstalled and had to begin again. I don't know what to do.

Hello, I am running scripts (Javascript, VSCode, for automated software testing(websites). Testing with Javascript en Cypress but tests do not run when FF browser is selected, No error message.. In %temp% there is no geckodriver.exe. The Cypress window just keeps showing a spinner and nothing happens, the test does not load and run on FF browser. The other browsers available to use(Chrome/Edge/Electron) can be selected and Cypress runs the tests with no problem or issue. It seems a geckodriver needs to be installed but how and where is not clear to me. Does anyone know how to get Cypress to run the test on the FF browser? Cypress Version 14.5.4, Node version v22.18.0 LTS, Windows 10 Pro. FF 141.0.3 Perhaps any Cypress+FF ninja testers here as well that could help me to get this solved?

I've used Firefox for years and have been very happy with it. Recently, however, it will not open no matter what I do. I've refreshed it, removed and reinstalled it, but it still will not open. What could be the problem?

I'm getting the 'Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window' message. I've gone to the task manager and end tasks. Then try to delete parent.lock in Firefox profiles in appdata. Then I get this message... The action can't be completed because the file is open in Firefox. Can you please help me with this problem.

i was able to download firefox. but now when i click on the icon to load up firefox it says couldn't load xpcom. what does that mean, what do i need to do to fix it?

Firefox hat während der Arbeit plötzlich abgebrochen, angeblich ein Update installiert - danach kam ein Fenster, wo ich neu starten oder abbrechen konnte - war allerdings eine Dauerschleife. Neu installieren will ich nicht, weil dann wieder mal alle Kennworte und Lesezeichen weg sind! Die Lösungen von Mozilla sind meistens unbrauchbar weil Firefox ja nicht startet !!!

I have tried an uninstall and reinstall but the same message comes up saying Firefoc is already running but can't be used and that I have to kill the old Firefox. I cannot access the cache since Firefox will not open. Reinstallation should have cleared the cache. Since I uninstalled Firefox the message appears when I try to reinstall Firefox. None of the troubleshooting methods re available. What suggestions do you have that will get me access to Firefox as my browser again?

Hello, often after waking the PC from sleep and trying to search for something, it is stuck on loading the web page/search. So after I close Firefox and try to open it again, it says it is already running and must be closed. If I click on Close Firefox, the dialog box closes for a while but reappears with the same message. When I want to kill the process with Task Manager, it says Access is denied, and the only way to open Firefox again is by restarting the PC.

Don't know if it's the latest Firefox or latest Windows 10 update or what but since the last Windows update happened I cannot open Firefox. I get the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." Task Manager shows 4 firefox processes including 1 crashhelper and 3 firefox approximately 70 mb, 4 mb, and 32 mb. I tried to disable the SkeletonUI by editing omni.ja but that didn't help. I tried uninstalling and that didn't help. I tried the refresh option first but ran into the same open process error so that wasn't an option. I am quite stumped. Any advice appreciated. The lock file shows up as SkeletonUILock-c388d246 in appdata/Local/Mozilla/Firefox and it disappears when Firefox is manually booted from Task Manager. It can't be examined when it's extant since it's in use by the Firefox process (presumably)

Firefox will not open at all on atlasOS for windows 11. I have no clue why. The windows flash on screen, but don't leave an error or anything. I have tried troubleshooting mode. I have tried making another user. I have tried cleaning all Firefox registry entries and appdata files. I have tried refreshing Firefox. I have tried just about everything possible. I even tried using the Microsoft store version. Which suprisingly worked for around an hour before secombing to the same plague as the proper versions.
