Hello, I have a strange problem, so after loading the system, the processor in my computer is drastically loaded, after entering the task manager, it turns out that one firefox process uses a lot of processor (photo in the attachment) after closing this process everything returns to normal and CPU consumption even while browsing the internet does not exceed 7% but it is quite persistent because I have to close this process every time, I will just add that this problem does not occur in other browsers. and none of my friends have it either. I'm using Windows 10 with the latest updates and the latest Firefox developer edition. The problem has been around for about a year and is really bothersome. My processor up to i7 2760qm, I have 16gb of ram. I will also add that in my second laptop with core 2 duo, this also happens only with me, no one who has this problem. It seems version 93 has introduced a method of reducing bandwidth by disconnect tabs from websites, but reconnects upon selecting the tab. This is causing havoc when I am logged into several websites. Sites tabs that do not have focus force me to log back in when selecting the tab.

I am not concerned in saving bandwidth.

How do I disable this feature?

I still have no bookmarks. I have restarted the computer a number of times. I also renamed the places.sqlite adding a 1 after places as it said in other directions. I have also refreshed.

Yesterday, I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled after receipt of your response. It said all cookies, history, bookmarks etc transferred successfully. However, I keep getting the message “ and Bookmarks and history systems will not be functional because one of Firefox’s file is in use by another application. Some security software can cause the problem. I use McAfee, I’ve always used it. I have not changed it.

I did not do anything with favicon file as I don’t know what to do, I understand you can delete that. If there is a list of more than one, then what do I do.

As I indicated, I an NOT a technical person.

Please advise.

Hi, Firefox just automatically updated on both of my laptops, one running Windows 10 and one running Windows 7, and now sites like Crave TV and ctv.ca are telling me Firefox is an unsupported browser and I can't even access those sites troubleshooting through Firefox. The sites work with other browses i have on my computer but Firefox has long been my browser of choice. I have contacted Crave and they had me change Firefox settings and nothing worked. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox as well. I have also completely disabled my antivirus software and that didn't work. Yes, i have restarted my computers several times.

To note, i was in the hospital for 3 months so my computers weren't running and probably missed several interim updates although the complete reinstall would've negated any problems that may have caused.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Recent version 92 update has been very buggy.

It has turned most of the desktop icons blank.

It keeps giving me error messages. (such as: ”Secure connection failed” and “PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR”

These can be worked around by going to the firefox icon pinned to the taskbar and/or “restarting firefox”. Note: these are all temporary “solutions”.

“customizing toolbar” doesn’t seem to be permanent (have to keep redoing it)

Outlook (hotmail) keeps opening to “junkmail” instead of “inbox” as it should.

Trying the advice on your website seems to wipe out most of my saved passwords; forcing me to constantly reentering passwords when I click on the appropriate icon. WHAT A HASSLE.

None of suggestions seem to fix the problems (especially the blank icons).

Do I need to update to “93” It says I’m “up to date” with 92  ???

Please advise. Thank you.

That's One. Your website is HORRIBLE. I had to google it up to send myself to this forum because it is not obvious when you click to submit. It sends you to a "Ideas" webpage. DA FUQ is that man? Just to actually let u guys know hey there's a problem here, i have to now learn how you're the best and we are stupid? No easy way to navigate and can't submit anything.

Google is king to actually find this.

I have 2 search tool bars one on top of the other at the top of every page. I only have google for a search engine. I would like to get rid of one of these bars. Any suggestion? I am not a programmer. They are confusing me. The top bar says "new...get...search" The second bar down has a back arrow, forward arrow, a circle, (marshall's) shield and a box with a circle on top (a man?). Thks for hlp. Ani Ana

When going to Realtor.com to view properties and clicking on the map button to see where it is and then using the back button instead of going back to where I was it always goes back to the top of the page and then I have to scroll and find the property I was looking at to then view another one that I like. This happens every time. I have already turned off my add-ons, extensions and changed all my settings to default and nothing is working. If I use Microsoft Edge which I hate there are no issues so the problem has to be a setting in Firefox that is wrong.

Hi I've updated to version 93.0 on a Windows 8 laptop. I try to support a website for a camera club that I'm a member of. The problem I'm having is that when I go to the website http://cranburydigitalcameraclub.org/ and try to click on any of the dropdown menus, nothing happens. e.g. Hover over Calendar and they click on Main calendar. I've tried this with Chrome and it works there. Another member has spotted the same behavior.

I'll guess that it is java related. Did something change recently? I know java hasn't been supported but this has worked for several years now.
