why does firefox open 15 sessions in task manager when i openy have 5 windows open!!

its seems rediculous the software opens 3 times the amount of windows i have open

s u c k i n g THE HELL OUT of memory and cpu

i can understand DOUBLE the amount BUT TRIPLE???? give me a brake!

Hi, when I try to open any PDF all I get is a blank grey screen. My settings are set to "open in firefox" and my default PDF viewer is also firefox. How can I fix this? Thanks!

I have set Firefox as my default browser. I can open it using a shortcut on my desktop. However, if I follow a link from an email, it does not open in Firefox. How come?

Firefox (a new up-to-date install) has been very crashy on my new computer -- PC running Windows 11.

I ran troubleshooting mode and it shows 0 crash reports.

On my old computer, I had 4 Firefox windows open, a half dozen extensions, ~200 tabs and it was quite stable. This brand new install is running one window, 3 extensions, a dozen tabs open, and freezes and crashes pretty much every time I try to read my email (or do anything else that involves clicking).

How do get a stable Firefox?

My bookmarks have duplicated and I didn't do anything except try to sync with my laptop and desktop. I tried the only solution I could find, the "verify integrity - Places Database" and that did nothing. If this can't be fixed, it's time to move on to another browser.

Our office uses a cloud-based database. Mozilla won't allow me to "check" boxes to do database searches for specific things. Google works fine, Edge works fine, but not Mozilla. Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated. Thanks!

I encounter this error only on my.nintendo.com. However nobody else I know encounters this (even using Firefox) and I do not encounter it on Edge browser.

When I open the site it stays for a few seconds, then loads an error page. Then this error page reloads itself every few seconds. I tried to include some Inspect tool details. Before a 404 error there are 303 and 302 responses. I live near my friends who do not have this issue (same ISP too) so it's not a regional issue. In the screenshots the four (and two more further down) red GETs below are all "304 Not Modified" status'd

I'm not sure what type of info I can dump from the browser or how, to help diagnose this. I'm on Windows 11 (though I was having this isue on my dual-booted Linux install too), on version 121.0.1 (see screenshot of About Firefox for more?)

Why do I have TWO Firefox icons shown on my desktop screen? If I click on #1 it says: "Created Tuesday, February 20, 2018" If I click on #2 it says: "Created Tuesday, December 05, 2023" Do I need both? or can I delete one of them? Thanks.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

Since updating to 121.0.1, only the top edge of the tabs in my menu bar are visible (see image). I tried reinstalling, restarting, and switching to a different theme. Any thoughts on why this is or how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

i had to reset my laptop due to certain reasons ..but i didnt back up things .as i re-downloaded firefox and logged in with my old account ..i didn't get me logg-in passwords for various sites back

My system recently slowed considerably. When I checked what was happening, I found there were up to 14 Firefox 'windows' showing in my Task Manager, and collectively these 'windows' were consuming over 25% of the computer memory (650+MB) even with Firefox just opened as the initial browser screen; no addresses etc had yet to be added. I've followed many of the troubleshooting suggestions, but to no avail. I have not reset the browser as yet as I need to understand the root of the problem

Hi, I used to be able to go to my email with Foxfire Mozilla with one click. Now I have to go to gmail, click on user name, insert my password twice, and then go to my phone to click on "yes, it is me" and sometimes before that enter a code, and then go to update securty all before I can read my email. I don't need any of this; I am the only user of my account and the only person who uses my computer. I am very unhappy with this. Also, just recently I now have lots of popups, most about music. It isn't even advertising, that I could understand, just annoying boxes of useless information that I have to dismiss. What is going on?,

Firefox is my go to browser, pretty much the only one I use. I have logged into the akc.org webpage 1000s of times. Now, only on your browser (I tested two others), I get a blue button with a padlock image that reads "login to AKCAD," the I get sent to microsoft. I made sure my microsoft account was not hacked and it is not, and I logged out of it. I still keeping getting this; I added the succession of what happens in the attached images. Please figure out what the issue is. Thank you!

Firefox used to open the bookmarks to the left showing all the bookmarks, ever since that last update not the go right and aren't even the bookmarks I want, how do I change it back
