Every time I launch Firefox it creates 12-13 instances of Firefox along with one each for Chrome and Console.

I don't need that many instances. Typically I have no more than 3-4 tabs open.

Is there a Configuration setting that I can change to reduce the number of instances to 5 and greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to launch.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V21H2 at current update level. I have a custom made tower with 512GB SSD and a Core2 Duo processing running at 2.93 GHz with 8 GB Ram. Firefox is V17.0.1.

The Browser is gone completly basicly. I opened a "few" Tabs and then it suddenly crashed with my PC. Now My PC is getting old so Crashes aren't new but after the Restart of the PC Firefox just didn't work, it would Open but that's where it ends i can't access anything it doesn't react to any inputs, it's black screen can't even see my bookmarks it doesn't open last opende sites or anything altough i can Input somehting in the Hot bar but it won't react to it and just try to google it but that won't work as well. I installed a second version of Firefox now but for example my passwords.. not all of those were saved somewhere else. So if someone knows a fix for that or to just get them another way through files along side my bookmarks that would be very helpfull. thankss

Since the last Firefox update, my logins are no longer saved from one session to the next...and neither are my devices, even when I specifically give the site permission to save the current device. I have to log in to most sites (email, bill pay, etc.) every single time, and in most cases the site insists on sending me a text or an email to verify it's me. This is entirely new behavior since the last update, and I can't figure out how to get around it. Suggestions??

Am I alone having difficulty logging in to (UK savings bank) https://www.nsandi.com, since they introduced two-factor authentication?

1. I go to the login screen https://secure.nsandi.com/thc/policyenforcer/pages/loginB2C.jsf?chainingAction=true&MENU=true&forceLogin=true&q=54676c38-933e-46dd-90a7-7c8a5127a983&p=aa69b759-9e91-4f76-b9be-329d0f9685be&ts=1670588750&c=nsandi&e=nsisecure&rt=Safetynet&h=e4eb2ce3d2ca79deee6728fa3ba9fe55 which prompts me for my account details. 2. There's an "Accept cookies?" pop-up; I click reject all cookies. 3. I enter my login details. 4. There's an "Accept cookies?" pop-up; I click reject all cookies. 5. It takes me back to the login screen which prompts me for my account details. 6. I enter my login details. 7. I get a JSON error message {"error":"ERROR_DURING_DEVICE_REVOKE","errorDescription":"ERROR_DURING_DEVICE_REVOKE"} on what looks like a Firefox diagnostic screen; the "headers" tab shows this:

X-Firefox-Spdy: h2 cache-control: no-cache, no-store, max-age=0, must-revalidate content-encoding: gzip content-security-policy: frame-ancestors 'self' https://sbp-retail-prd-kyd-b2n-vip.nsi.local; content-type: application/json date: Fri, 09 Dec 2022 12:16:52 GMT expires: 0 pragma: no-cache referrer-policy: no-referrer-when-downgrade server: nginx strict-transport-security: max-age=31536000;preload x-cdn: Imperva x-content-type-options: nosniff, nosniff, nosniff x-frame-options: SAMEORIGIN, SAMEORIGIN x-iinfo: 5-7620738-7622339 PNYN RT(1670588150185 61257) q(0 0 0 -1) r(1 1) U6 x-xss-protection: 1; mode=block, 1; mode=block, 1; mode=block

8. I click the refresh/reload button 9. There's an "Accept cookies?" pop-up; I click reject all cookies. 10. The "Add trusted device" screen lets me choose a phone number to receive a one-time password. 11. There's an "Accept cookies?" pop-up; I click reject all cookies. 12. I receive the one-time password via text and enter it. 13. There's an "Accept cookies?" pop-up and (beneath it) a "Securing your browser ... please wait..." screen, which eventually is replaced by the "Your accounts screen". 14. I click reject all cookies and FINALLY I'm able to view my nsandi.com account details !

So there seems to be two issues i. The need to enter my login details twice, and then reload the page on receiving JSON "ERROR_DURING_DEVICE_REVOKE" ii. The fact that every step along the way, I get the same "Accept cookies?" pop up - surely having told it my cookie preferences it shouldn't be asking again and again and again...

Because the login dialogue takes me to three different URLs: https://auth.nsandi.com https://secure.nsandi.com https://www.nsandi.com ... I wondered if Firefox's "Enhanced Tracking Protection" was interfering with communication between them (via the browser, during the login process). So I added all three to "Exceptions for enhanced tracking protection". But that didn't make any difference.

My work-around is to login using the Microsoft Edge browser. But it's a pain to having to remember to use my non-preferred/non-default browser for this one account.

I have no problem with Firefox automatic updating, but I have a problem with the irritating popup coming every time after every update. Why do you nag your users like this? And why is there no "don't show this anymore" checkbox? Why is there no close button and you need to click trough the 5 steps every time??? Is there any way to disable this irritating popup in about:config ?

I installed my first Firefox years ago to get rid of popups and now Mozilla is slipping them in our face. Not nice.

Because Amazon thinks I am traveling I cannot view most video content such as Starz channel, I am limited. Any tips? Thanks!

Previously access was denied 2 log in 2 xfinity on Firefox browser. Reply 2 post gave me a different log in . It worked. After I got email from u "Your Firefox account was used to sign in Chrome on Windows 10 Boardman, OR, United States (estimated) IP address: 52.32.111.255 Wednesday, Dec 14, 2022 2:52:14 PM (PST)". This isn't me, but I logged in at the same time. Did Firefox mistake my log in? When I attempted 2 change my password, it wanted 2change the password 4the spammer. I couldn't change MY password. I didn't use Chrome, I don't have Windows 10. I have Windows 11 and I am not near Boardman OR.

If the browser privacy is supposed to block cross-site cookies, EVEN WITH enhanced tracking prevention and permanent browsing mode enabled, why doesn't it do its job? I still have to go in and revoke the cookie and place that address in the "exceptions - cookies & site data" to block and the same address STILL comes right back. If that feature isn't going to work, there's no point in offering it.

I love Firefox (use it on all devices), but unless an option will actually do what it's supposed to do, don't offer it.
