After update to FF 101.0.1 access to the Open24 banking website is somewhat 'bumpy'. 1) Usually, if you enter the Open24 access number, the cursor automatically proceeds to the next window. It no longer does this - you have to to it manually. (Win 10) 2) Same problem with the password. 3) Same problem with the Personal Access Number (PAN). 4) Once I am IN my account, only a part of the links do work. Opening 'recent transactions' does NOT. 5) If I try to log out, instead of the usual confirmation I get a blank screen with the PTSB logo on top.

  • Using another browser (in this case Edge) does NOT cause ANY problem!*

So, I have to assume, this problem is version related. Please correct this asap! Thank you.

My custom theme was reverting back to the default every time I started Firefox. Going into my theme and disabling and re-enabling it worked, but having to do that every time was annoying. Googling the problem came up with many links to Mozilla support and only said that that it was likely a setting in the "prefs.js" file or a corrupted "extensions.json" file. Unfortunately, no one else was pointing me to what parameter in the prefs.js file I needed to search for. So I had to find it myself. So I made a backup of the file for safety, fired up my Edit Pad Lite text editor, and opened the prefs.js file. Yikes, lots of values. So I carefully searched for the word "theme". I kept pressing F3 to continue searching for the next occurrence of the word "theme" (without the quotes of course). I finally found these 2 lines:

user_pref("lightweightThemes.persisted.footerURL", true); user_pref("lightweightThemes.persisted.headerURL", false);

Hmm. The lightweight theme header was false. Could it be that simple to change it to true? So I made sure I had shut down Firefox as Mozilla states that the prefs.js file is overwritten by Firefox upon exiting, changed the value to "true", saved the file, and restarted Firefox. Viola, my theme stayed on. I selected other themes, exited and restarted Firefox, and that theme was still there and not reset to the default. My problem was solved. I don't know how that value got set to "false" (and don't care), but now that it's set to "true" my theme is working every time I use Firefox. I'm surprised that no one else had found and posted this simple solution.

Starting about 13:00 Thursday 06/02 multiple (100+) search tabs for items on E-Bay listed 24 hours prior randomly result in an error page with a child with an orange hoodie saying: "We looked everywhere. Looks like this page is missing. If you still need help, visit our help pages."

Entering the error title on a successful title search does result in a successful search the tab for which can then replace the tab which resulted in the error page.

There can be zero results, or many results, I do not see a pattern with this as to if there were results or not.

This would be happening about 5% of the time, however considering how time consuming recreating hundreds of searches would.....

E-Bays says transfer Firefox tabs to Gmail and see if problem persists.

They said no one else has reported this.

Any ideas.

No recent changes to computer, or Firefox. Windows 10.

For a few months now I can't upload anything larger than 500 MB on Google Drive. I did talk to GD support and it worked fine with Chrome and Chromium. So whatever is causing this problem, it's in Firefox. I tried with a clear Firefox (one with no extensions by deleting /.mozilla) but it's still the same - the upload starts but then stops within the first 30 seconds. Ping and traceroute are all perfectly fine to google servers, no losses, so it's not the connection either.

Firefox is the latest stable version: 101.0.

I bought a new/refurbished laptop. Set up the sync. Brought it up on the new device. Which failed. Did not have it ten days, the screen went dead. When I went back to the other device (originally holding the info), the color scheme chosen was GONE. The links I had set up in the rows I had chosen were ALL GONE. I tried the sync. No idea why all my saves are gone. My BOOKMARKS are intact, but not all the rows of links were saved as bookmarks.

Hello, I regularly open pdf files and other documents with local readers/writers by selecting the option "open with". My big issue is that the files are yes opened with the local reader, but they are also automatically downloaded in the "Download" folder.

Before files were stored in a temporary folder, and I would like to continue like that because my "Download" folder is exploding and it's a mess!

Or, at least, there should be an option to select where to download automatically the files when I select the "open with" option. So I can chose a folder that I now is to be trashed.

Thank you!

About two weeks ago, Microsoft sent me a recommendation for using Bing extension. Thinking it was fine, I proceeded as an idiot to install. At the last moment, it stated it will be the homepage or some such thing, So, I hit "cancel". But, no sooner than clicking it, Bing installed itself. But, now when I start Firefox, it opens FOUR separate tabs every single time, including my email home page and Bing related pages, including the one that asks me if I uninstalled by mistake. I can never get rid of these tabs unless I close them one by one every time. I even tried refreshing Firefox by getting rid of all my add-ons. But, even that only worked for about literally 2seconds or less as Firefox restarted without Bing pages and, then, just like virus, all three pages loaded themselves again. Is there anyway to get rid of this hijacking function, that is, OFFICIAL Microsoft Bing extension??? https://browserdefaults.microsoft.com/extensions/feedback_v2/index.html?extnID=%7b3e06d96e-26f5-4a68-ac64-2b6bc583a35d%7d&mkt=en-us&mid=C6C4A3866D8ACFCA49ED3C14E3031E0D&br=mf Sorry, I couldn't upload photos for some reason.

But, If I enter https://dev.fd as URL, I get SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN. I tried both 1. local-settings.js -> about:config -> security.enterprise_roots.enabled = true 2. Import of CA certificate in settings

Any suggestions how to solve?

I am having a periodic issue where, when I have Firefox in full screen, the top portion of the screen is blank bar, where the open tabs and search bar should be. When I toggle to another application, Word, perhaps, it doesn't look that way. When I close and reopen Firefox, I still see the blank bar. The only resolution appear to be restarting my computer.

This isn't exactly a brand new issue, but every website that has to access "assets.adobedtm.com" for data causes Firefox to stall for at least a half minute, often much longer. It is becoming an increasing frustration. What can be done to eliminate this? It doesn't seem to affect Chrome or Edge.

Thanks!

Our motor home is equipped with a WiFi Ranger Denali. When connected to a WiFi network through the Denali we have recurring interruption due to the Fire Fox captive portal check. Fire Fox then disconnects the Denali WiFi connection.

When we are at a RV campground I can connect my laptop to the campgrounds WiFi and maintain connection. When I connect to the campground WiFi via the Denali the signal is stronger and upload/download improves; unfortunately, WiFi Ranger captive portal check pops up and I am disconnected.

How do I stop this problem?

I have numerous folders in my Bookmarks list. When I access Bookmarks, Firefox automatically opens all of my folders and sub-folders, which means I have to scroll through all of them to find the bookmark I want. Is there any way to stop this behavior so that I only see a list of folders and can open only the one I want to access? Thanks.
