How do I update Firefox on my rand McNally tablet When I factory reset it ,it went back to the original version and I can't get it to update to the version I had beforehand

How do I change accounts from peter.clark8@orange.fr to peter.clark01@orange.fr, this being my address now.

Issue: When Firefox starts after a system reboot, it starts on the incorrect desktop. This seems to be off by one; that is, I have Firefox assigned to Desktop 3 (using the Dock icon's Options menu). Under normal operation, it starts on Desktop 3, but after a reboot, it seems to start on (more recently) Desktop 2 or (earlier) Desktop 4. Unsure about what causes it to prefer 2 vs. 4.

This seems to happen after I've shut down (quit Firefox normally, shut down without reopening windows on login, power goes off, power on, log in, then click on the Firefox icon in the Dock) or after a system update (which reopens windows on login for me after rebooting and installing the update). It does not seem to happen after a Firefox update or after quitting Firefox normally and then restarting it from the Dock icon right away.

Pretty irritating, as I have major applications assigned to specific desktops, and Firefox is the only one that seems to forget which desktop it should be on.

• Dock > Firefox application icon > [Right Click] > Options > Assign To > This Desktop (i.e., Desktop 3)
• Apple Menu > Shutdown > Reopen windows when logging in: FALSE

MacBook Air M4 2025 24 GB RAM:

• No external displays connected

Using firefox 140.6.0esr on Windows 10 with noScript and uBlock Origin

Infrastructure for my health insurance provider website uses a self-signed certificate. The infra has a different URL from the main page and was initially failing with "CORS failed", which turned out to be the cert issue.

I copied the infra URL from the dev tools network log and opened it directly, and accepted the invalid cert. I can see the new exception in cert_override.txt.

Then, after unblocking the site in uBlock origin, POST and GET requests to the infra URL succeed, but OPTIONS requests are still failing with "CORS failed", and security status "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER"

Is there anything else I can do so the OPTIONS request honors the exception in cert_override.txt?

Downloads on Firefox are slow. They used to be fast, but about three days ago they just went way down to about a tenth of the previous speed. I've tested the same file from the same source and on Edge it downloads at the speed I used to get, so it's a problem with Firefox.

I've never changed things from English and can't find how to change it back. There's a pop up window saying you want to have things in English. Yes I do but I don't want to do it every time I open the browser. Any help is appreciated.

I've noticed for awhile that when exiting Firefox (currently 150.0.3) open tabs no longer close. When I re-enter Firefox (new start) I no longer get my home page. I've tried all key combination of exiting as well as the X. I searched this community and WWWeb and found nothing usefull.

I livae in the UK and have both my Firefox browser - Windows 10 and Windows 11 - to version 151. So far, I cannot see the VPN icon on the tool bar on the top right-hand corner. Do I still need to wait longer.....? Thank you.
