I keep trying to sign in on my new Win 10 laptop. I have been double-checking my email and password each time; I am 100% certain they are correct, as I receive an account authorization email each time I try; when it's obviously incorrect, it does not send this email.

When I enter the code I am given, I am told my password is incorrect. Okay, no problem, I still have my old device where I'm still signed in. I tried to change the password -- old password is incorrect?!

I have had the same password for much longer than what is likely recommended for security reasons. I *know* what it is and yet I'm still being told it's incorrect.

Please help me. I can't work on my projects without my browser set up properly on my new PC. It's absurd that I can't even change it on my old PC.

I know this has been referred to in other topics but they appear they have been closed without a resolution from Firefox. This problem is one of the many reasons users should not take the updates that Firefox forces upon you: too many problems incorporated which take too long to fix. It took me a long while to find a working method which Firefox wouldn't broadcast, but I got there in the end. Google just doesn't update, it broadcast the changes well in advance allowing developers to adapt before the roll out. Developers who don't work for Firefox that is! I had stopped updates as they make more problems than they fix, but had to try the latest as Google maps stopped working: All I get is a blank webpage with nothing showing. Others have suggested a plugin etc. etc. etc., but this does not solve the fact that other browser don't have this problem and neither does Firefox! What! You read this right! version 52.0 works without a hitch with Google maps, so a way of getting Firefox to work is to revert to a previous version which doesn't have the dodgy embedded code. So why exactly are we waiting for an update for something that has worked in the past but has now stopped because the developers either don't know how to fix it or can't be bothered. Firefox are clearly showing they are not coping with updates as well as the competition. I use the term loosely, as Firefox appear to have given up entirely!

when i login again with my old email id it created a new account on the very same email now i lost the sync data what to do i dont know but that data is very important for me . waiting to hear from firefox team ASAP....

Hi, in just the past few days I've discovered that when I visit a website and set up a log-in ID and password, the password that Firefox Manager offers to save isn't being saved correctly. For example, say I use the password 143143, it saves it as something like 973973.

This has happened to me three times that I'm aware of (and I kept having to go back to Safari's saved passwords to find the correct ones, since I typically use randomly generated passwords.

I'm running macOS Mojave, 10.14.06, so I haven't changed the OS in well over a year. (I haven't updated as I have an SSD that's not APFS.) Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Hi, I am using Firefox 103.0.2 on a M1 Mac with an external sound card with multiple stereo outputs pairs (1-2, 3-4, etc.)

Whatever the system selection for default stereo output is (e.g., 3-4), firefox will systematically select the first output pair (1-2) of the external sound card. All other applications (Chrome, Safari, Music, etc.) output on the selected default stereo output (3-4)

I can see I am not the only one to face the problem but threads are hard to read and understand.

I have no idea what my recovery key is nor where it would be. I do not remeber my password since I am always on the same laptop. I have several issues with firefox for a while now and need to either restore or remove and download new. I cn afford to lose many of my bookmarks

M FF is really messed up. Too many pages do no appear correctly. I am not savvy and do not want to mess around. I would rather find which files to save for passwords and bookmarks and do an uninstall and a clean reinstall. If anyone is kind enough to give me a step by step on how do do this. Firstly which files do I save fore mym bookmarks and passowrd, after I have those files I guess I can uninstall and reinstall then replace those. Thanks

In Settings, I have configured "When using the address bar, suggest..." to use my Bookmarks, and nothing else.

Let's say I have a bookmark for the URL: https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/products/

If I start typing "moz", that bookmark appears in the suggestions, but the autocomplete also offers me the domain's "home" URL, https://www.mozilla.org.

I don't have that "home" URL bookmarked, so I don't want it to be suggested to me - as I told Firefox when I set "Bookmarks" as the only source of suggestions. Often when trying to navigate quickly to a bookmarked page, I assume that autocomplete will be giving me my bookmarked page, and end up accidentally going to the "home URL" instead.

So is there a setting that lets me keep my bookmark suggestions, but disable this "autocomplete with home URL" behaviour?

This isn't specific to mozilla.org: that URL was just an example.

I don't know if this is 'website breakage' or not, but I am unable to use the mouse wheel to zoom when using the Weather.com map page in Firefox. I've tried the same site in MS Edge and it works. I've also verified that I can zoom in and out of Google Maps when using Firefox, so the problem seems limited to Firefox and the Weather.com map page. Any thoughts? I've looked for settings, etc. that might impact the function, but couldn't find any. For further detail, the page appears to react briefly to the scroll wheel, and you see just a fraction of movement, but then it freezes at that magnification and I have to use the + and - icons on the page to zoom in or out. This is not a huge deal, but I don't understand what's happening and I'll take insight. Thanks.

Something is forcing closure of Firefox periodically (about once a week or so?). This happens whether I have Firefox open or not. If I have Firefox open at the time, the browser closes then reopens at a Microsoft Bing search page ("...goose...") and all the other pages I had open have disappeared. If it happened when the browser was not already open, the next time I open it the home page has been reset as above. As far as I can see, nothing else in my settings has been changed, but I have to go in and manually reenter my usual desired homepage. Are you doing this, is Microsoft doing this, or is some other interloper causing this? Do you know any way I can find out and stop it?

I cannot seem to send a link of a webpage in Firefox to any email addresses I used to be able to send before. I am unsure if I have done anything in firefox to cause this. can you please suggest some ways of how I can enable this function

I upgraded Firefox, created an account and installed Simple Tabs. I changed a few things in settings. I now have to login into Facebook every time and I cannot post anything. How do I fix it? When the window pops up the little icon circle just keeps going around and around.

I have the Distill Web Page Monitor Extension loaded. When I click on it, it shows me all the correct Monitors that I have configured. If I click on "Go to Watchlist" it's supposed to take me to the web management page where all the same Monitors should be shown. It takes me there but there are no Monitors visible. If I go to the webpage https://accounts.distill.io and log in then all the Monitors are correctly displayed. I note that the URL after I click on "Go to Watchlist" is moz-extension://xxxxxxxxxx/ui/inbox.html#inbox and not https://monitor.distill.io/#/w/0/list/all/ after I've logged in at https://accounts.distill.io.

Any suggestions please?

I'm running Distill Monitor Add-On version 1.18.6

Trying to use onfocus , onfocusout, or finding which element has focus has lead to a problem. In the program I give at the end, if you click out of a input element I can not find where the focus goes. FF does not do both things - focus out and focus on at the same time. I have tried multitude ways of trying to find where focus goes when leaving this element. Have not tried oither elements.

When I enter a Youtube URL on my MacBook Air's Firefox, the browser defaults to https://cinemaphile.com.

I don't know this company and don't know why Firefox defaults to it or how I, a layman, can fix the problem.

Any suggestions?
