My firefox did an update today and I can not view many websites in my bookmarks. I tried to manually go to a website and still get the same error show below. An error occurred during a connection to www.newsmax.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR Some websites I can view and others not. I did not have this problem till todays update. I also can not view non HTTPS websites. Basically all is not well.

Suggestions.

Hello, I love using firefox but I tend to open many tabs. I close them often but I noticed in taskmanager that closed tabs were continuing to use RAM. How can I disable this from happening. (I read a few articles mentioning about:memory about:performance ??? I'm not an expert but I don't mind doing it manually) Thanks

Much (but not all) of the time, when I click on a link that opens in a new tab, that tab never loads the content. It sits there with the little dot on the left oscillating back and forth.

BUT if I close Firefox and reopen it, it comes back with all the tabs I had when I closed it -- and the problem tab loads and displays the content without trouble.

What can I do to not have to close and reopen Firefox so often?

I'm running the latest version of Firefox on Windows 11 Home. 64-bit.en

The site unter https://www.wetter.de/deutschland/wetter-bremen-18220609.html won't be displayed correctly. I get errors like this: please see the image!

This is in regard to the privacy settings under about:preferences#privacy > 'Allow firefox to send technical & interaction data to Mozilla' where I'm willing to opt into just interaction data, but not willing give my technical data, because of the temporary collection of my IP address. Due to this, I have to opt it out completely & unfortunately couldn't contribute to mozilla's data collection stats. If there's anyway to split those separately, would be better.

I'm trying to take a proctored test with PearsonVue. It keeps saying on the system test that Firefox is still running. I've tried shutting down through Task Manager. I've tried rebooting and just using Chrome to access the test page. It still says it's running. Next step is to uninstall...surely there's another solution!?

I am trying to install a multibar toolbar on my macbook.

when I scroll in my feed it will jump several things down . doesn't matter what computer I am on it still does it. Not right away but soon as I go down my feed it starts jumping .

I just logged on to my laptop to be faced by an endless spinning Windows wheel. You and or windows have just erased every last think on my laptop. I have an account with you. How do I get my data back. If you don't help I will never use Firefox or any other Mozilla product ever again.

Why have you allowed Wondows to erase everything on my Firefox account? There was no warning. I don't want Windows 11 anyway.

hi, have downloaded installer file several times with Firefox and i end up always needing to download from another browser to get it to work. The installer this specific time is xampp for windows. The download works well, the file goes to the right folder, but when i click on the installer, it leads to a new browser window (see pic1) and no matter what option i choose it never performs the installation. in the pic 2, u can see the applications options. I am really trying to give a shot at firefox but i always end up having to use another browser :-/. Thanks a lot for any help

For the last few days, as I work on my MacBook Pro, I've been getting a pop-up stating that I need to sign in to Firefox. Firefox is the only browser I use and I have never seen this pop-up before. It looked authentic so I entered a password, which it rejected and then tried pretty much any other password(s) I have used and it rejected them all.

I'm still getting these pop-ups. What's this all about? HELP!!!

email@yahoo will not respond properly in Firefox and works perfectly in Opera browser. Also very SLOW to load many sites. Only the last few days. Is this a hack of some sort? More than yahoo issues as well. Just sayin'

I'm using Mac OS and the system dialog works better for me than the one provided by Firefox. And if a preview is necessary, it is possible to activate "Preview" from the system dialog box (Additionally offers the possibility of generating a pdf).

On this forum the subject is very present; there are a large number of "about:config" keys whose modification is supposed to provide a solution; it's a big mess. Some changes that worked with Firefox 101 no longer work after updating to Firefox 102. Eventually I found an answer here:

This question is important. Can you suggest a stable and accessible solution for future Firefox updates? An option in the "Preferences" menu?

while checking a Broadband speed error Broad band speed dropped from 140mbps to 7mbps I eventually realised it was only on one of my devices And only on Firefox. I cleared the winsock to try to stop throttling, speed went up a bit to 20mbps

I assume this is some sort of hack. I did notice an advert coming up when on Yourube saying You are now using a ??? browsec browser

Strangely Microsoft Edge works fine & full speed.

I have continual problems with Firefox v102.0.1 on a Mac using 12.4 OS. The program stalls, freezes, and runs slow, even after troubleshooting and reinstalling. Lot's of spinning balls. Probably time to move back to Safari.

Further to my post about Firefox not connecting to websites. We use Norton 360 for virus control. Nothing has changed there. When searching the net for information Firefox for the last month is unable to access many websites. This only happens with Firefox. Something has changed and I cannot find out what it is so that I can correct it. The settings for microsoft edge are the same and it does not happen with it. I've tried resetting it,deleting and reinstalling but nothing changes.

Hi A few of my bookmarks title in bookmarks toolbar get shortened even though there's even longer ones. I tried this solution that worked to some degree but didn't solve the problem and every time I add or edit a bookmark those bookmarks get shortened again. This issue accrued after the last update.

I work for a company where we have a user that complained that when he navigated to a google website like Google maps, Translate, and Youtube. and clicking around and within the website after a few minutes all websites will crash, and one website will show the error SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_ALERT. I have to clear browsing history in order to get it corrected. I can access the websites just fine through Edge, and Chrome. I was able to replicate the issue on two computers in my environment.

I was running off Firefox version 102.0.0 where I experienced the problem, and updated to 102.0.1 and still have the problem. I have googled, and followed this https://appuals.com/ssl-error-bad-mac-alert/ but do not want to have to whitelist all google websites. Is there a reported problem with Firefox?

Any help with this would be appreciated.
