Since downloading the New upgrade today I cannot access anything! TAb crashes everytime. Wish I could go back as have used firefox for years and will now have to find alternative. Have had use the dreaded chrome to post this!

I got a random pop up on Firefox that I clicked without fully reading it, which closed Firefox and then prompted me for the administrator password (aka the password of that account on my laptop) so Firefox can install a helper tool. I did, and it did nothing. Every time I try to open Firefox I get the same pop up prompt and no matter how many times I give the password nothing happens, and I can't open the application. Clicking cancel on the prompt also does nothing.

I logged onto a different account on my laptop and can use Firefox like normal, but none of my settings/bookmarks/passwords from my other Mac account are saved here.

I would just delete and reinstall Firefox on the administrator account that is having this issue, but I don't know if I have anything properly backed up on Firefox, and I have a ton of things saved on there that I really don't want to lose. What do I do? Please help :(

I'd like to change a Payment Method, but I am unable to find it in Settings.

I found instructions to look for it under Autofill in "General" or "Privacy & Security".

But the only references I find are for "Autofill" in "Import browser data" and for "Payment" in "Sync settings".

When I approved the installation of the latest Foxfire update this morning, I got the message "Couldn't load XPCOM." Another popup message included "error status 0xc000012f." Firefox does not work. Thanks, Joan Karrie

I host a website, and don't want browsers (particularly Firefox) offering modified versions to others. Is there a header or something I can set webserver-side to disallow Firefox from offering the option?

I use the same laptop at two locations. I have different printers at each (both HP, one a laser the other an inkjet).

Most of my time is at location 1. Typically I can print without a problem. Recently in Firefox ONLY I have been unable to print at location 2.

Scenario:

1. I print to the laser printer at location 1. No problem.
2. I go to location 2 and choose to print - the print dialog appears with a "spinner" and it does not go away.

I have to cancel using Esc. I am unable to print at all from Firefox. Typically if I close Firefox after that, it looks closes but is still shown as running in Task Manager.

Other programs such as Word and other browsers bring up a dialog box showing that "the printer cannot be contacted" and allows cancellation. At this point I can choose the local inkjet printer and all is well.

Just now will not save a page to bookmark folder, even in trouble shoot mode. Know how to save. See pages in recently closed pages, but do not know what is the cause. Should I refresh, tried close and reboot system. Let me know some steps to analyze the cause and remove it. Thanks, but don't under stand the method to ge Troubleshooting Information.

I have the problem that if a stream is playing (Youtube or other video sites) and iam on another tab that the stream stopps/hangs for a second...

It seems to hang also if iam scrolling on another site while the video is playin in a not active tab.

If iam on the active tab where the video is playing it is working fine and no stopps/hanging.

So there seems to be a problem with playing streams/Videos on non active tabs...

I testet Linux Bazzite and there wasnt this problem with Firefox.

So seems to be a problem with Firefox in Windows...

EVERY TIME Firefox updates or the computer shuts down, it loses my bookmarks. I check the box next to Bookmarks in Sync, and the second I hit "sync now" the checked box disappears and the bookmarks do not sync. Friggin annoying. I'm not a programmer so I'm hoping for a user-friendly solution. Thanks!

I see no x on tabs to close; I see no "close tab" option in the menu when I right-click on a tab; I see no close tab option in main menu.

1. How do I get the close tab button to show on a tab?

2. How do I close all tabs?

3. Where do I find a close tab command on menu?

4. How can I get to automatically close all tabs on closing?

5. Are there other ways of closing a tab?

Hello Since last update (145), I'm experiencing an issue where Firefox becomes unable to access the internet following a temporary loss of connection during the normal use, until I completely quit and reopen the browser.

I'd appreciate any advice on how to resolve this.

I lost the ability to browse using multiple tabs. I have to open multiple windows because the browser automatically goes directly to the site rather than a new tab. I've used firefox for YEARS. Must I change browsers to have this feature?

When I open Firefox, since last upgrade 13-november-2025(version 145.0) it's always in full screen ! I hate this configuration and I want to come back to the previous "normal" starting configuration. Everytime I open Firefox I must do "F11" now. How can I do ?

Any idea why it keeps being unable to open sites at some point, about 2-3 days after being opened? Might load eventually, but only after about 10 mins... private mode still loads quickly, though...? I tried playing with DNS, no proxies...

Hello. Firstly I have NO troubles accessing the internet via Firefox (my Default browser). My problem is that none of my "saved" websites (including those appearing on the Bookmarks Toolbar) will open on the internet when I click on them. If I type the internet address into the address bar, the site opens as normal. I do not have this problem if I use Chrome. The problem only commenced today following an update by Norton via Norton 360. I have attempted all the suggestions that Norton have supplied other than re-installing Firefox - and none of their suggestions have solved my predicament. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated to fix this most annoying problem. Thank you, Ron.

My Win 11 (25H2) desktop occasionally sends me to renew access on my gmail account (via IEEE organization, services10.ieee.org) where I enter my walter.dinkins@ieee.org email and then it sends acknowledgement to Google or YouTube on my iPhone. Now I keep getting error message "Unable to connect". I am able to connect on my iPhone via the Firefox app but not on my PC. I added https://mail.google.com and hppts://accounts.google.com but still not luck. Any other suggestions? Regards, Walter
