Hii,

I am currently using the latest version of LibreWolf/Firefox on Windows 11 Pro. I am having issues with the location of the files being saved in the Default location, i.e. C:\Users\kumbi\Downloads. All the files get saved in this location except those in PDF format.

The files in the PDF format, for some reason, get saved to the Temp folder: C:\Users\kumbi\AppData\Local\Temp.

I also use another system where the situation is the same.

I have checked all the configurations and settings and could not figure out a fix for this problem.

Please let me know how do I fix this. I am looking forward to your response.

I want certain extensions to be able to run in private windows, but not in normal windows. For example, I would browse normally without a VPN extension, and when I open a private window, the VPN extension would be enabled.

Recently I´ve encountered problems with (mostly) accessing nba.com. I don´t get the resultbar. Today klicking on one of the menue items (Schedule) Firefix refused to load the page claiming "Not safe". As you can see I´ve accessed the page a number of times. /Leif Arvidsson

Firefox often display messages at the lower right corners - only from selected sites.

It drives my crazy - because I have to click on each and ervy one.

How can I select the sites which are displayed or can I shut them off all together ?!?

Whenever I try to play videos on Firefox, the elements don't load right and no video will begin. On Youtube, this is usually either a blank page with no video element, or I get an error stating that the video can't be played. On Twitch, I get the streamer's default 'not streaming' message, even if they are live, and VODs don't work. I have several extensions to protect privacy and block ads, but even if they are all turned off I still have this problem. I've also tried turning my VPN off and on, and setting it to various different locations. Nothing works. I can watch videos on another browser without issue. When watching videos on YouTube or Amazon Prime, Firefox will eventually stop recognizing keyboard and mouse input in all windows and tabs. This can happen after just a few minutes of video or after hours. It affects nearly all input: typing or clicking in webpages, the toolbar, the address bar, etc., though I can click the 'x' button to close tabs. When I close the final window, a dialogue will appear stating that Firefox is non-responsive and allowing me to kill the process. This seems unusual, because the OS's system monitor indicates there is plenty of unused and available RAM and CPU resources. Firefox behaves normally after restarting.

OS: Xubuntu 22.04 Firefox version: 120.0 (though previous versions have been affected for the last few months)

I have two end users that are having a different issues but they are of similar nature. First user can not upload anything to Microsoft Share point. She gets a message that says she does not have proper permissions to upload. She does not have the same issue on Chrome or Edge. The second user is trying to download and or save a file from a couple of different websites but regardless on where she tries to save it on her computer it says she does not have proper permissions to save to "x" file location. She also does not have this issue when she is on Chrome or Edge.

For both users I have tried clearing cache and cookies, Rebooting their computers, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, deleting registry keys/user data from the computer itself. I have had no luck with resolving this issue and I can not find anything online that remotely resembles this issue.

I created an account with chat gpt with my google login. Lately, when I try to log into it using Firefox, after I click the "Continue with Google" button, I am redirected to https://www.arkoselabs.com/ !

After a few tries with the same result, I tried in chrome and had no issues accessing my account.

This one's stumpped me. I'm at a loss. Anyone else having this problem? Is it a redirect virus? Chrome is prone to the yahoo redirect virus. I'm wondering if this is similar or if there's somethin' wrong.

I am trying to find answers in relation to my Favourites shorcuts not showing the Icon for some well known websites e.g BBC World News, CNN. Once answer found on the Firefox Forum is: Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

This is just typical of many answers I find on the Firefox forums whereby the suggested solutions seem to bear no resemblance to my Firefox system. Am I using something different? Everything points to me having the latest up to date version of Firefox. For example if I click on the four horizontal line hamburger on top right of the screen I do not see anything that begins with "Tools" in the menu options. I see "Settings" and "More Tools" but none lead to "Options>Content: Fonts & Colors> Advanced: [X]. simarly, If I click on "Tools" in the menu at the top of the Browser nothing leads to "Options". Any suggestions please?

The problem persists across different sites I frequent, most notably dropout.tv and archive.org. videos I try to watch either don't play in the browser at all, or play without any sound, even though nothing is muted. The only site completely unaffected seems to be youtube, where everything works as usual.

I use Using Video Download Ultimate add on in Firefox. It works great on most websites, but it will not connect and download from "https://yeahmovies.to/home" or "https://ww5.cmovies.co/movies/". Will you rectify this, or teach a work around to me?

Please help me to stop the Excel file that I download via Mozilla. The Excel opens up once the download is done. Can you please suggest ways to it to be stopped. The settings I have applied with regards to download are as shown in the attached image. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any more information.

I'm fairly new at this game of 'digital talking', so: I just paid for a 2yr subscription but do not see any visual evidence that this is indeed the case. How do I know I'm currently protected, isn't there an icon supposed to be on the monitor?

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. The Debian Firefox packages available are only 115.6. Thought it would be nice to have the latest. Grabbed all the dependencies according to the Mozilla web site.

Installed Firefox 121.0 as root and placed folder into /opt, as instructed. Went through all the settings and imported my bookmarks.

Now there is a 121.0.1 upgrade available but my browser won't automagically install the upgrade. Says click here to download. So I do. I get the entire tar.bz2 bundle, which creates a full directory structure, as if I was starting over.

Can I just move a few files from that into the existing /opt/firefox directory to get the upgrade? If so, which ones?

Or, can I move few files from the existing directory into the new version, and replace the whole lot? If so, which ones?

Hi,

WSJ opinion pages won't load fully on Firefox. The same webpage works on other browsers. This has been a recurring issue ever since I switched over to Firefox. It's the main reason why I still keep Google Chrome around.

I've tried updating to the newest version of Firefox and also iOS. Also, clearing my cache/cookies works sometimes but the problem keeps coming back.
