I haven't been able to move tabs around for days. Not since I tried to take some 'out' to make a new window, and Firefox straight up crashed ...repeatedly. After I gave up, I noticed the tabs no longer moved.

I ignored it a few days, but its frankly very annoying! I checked for answers & found an old post from 5 yrs ago here & followed the advice. Or I tried to, but when I checked "browser.tabs.allowTabDetach" in "about:config" it was already set to "true". I even toggled it a few times (I even tried to see if it would move when set to false! ...counterintuitive, but I figured it was worth a try?)

Anyhow "browser.tabs.allowTabDetach" is still set to true, and I'm not about to go monkeying with all that :\

(fair warning, while I know how to alter a config under clear instructions ...my experience with such things starts and ends with the config files for Stardew Valley mods)

I realized today that my tab groups were all gone and I believe it is because I erased all of my search history about a week ago. Unfortunately I did not realize that clearing my search history would irrecoverably delete my tab groups, and I think it would not be intuitive for many other people either.

Ideally I would like to see a specific option to keep or erase tab groups when clearing search history but in the absence of that I think at least having a warning that you will lose your tab groups if you follow through would be very nice.

I often accidentally CLOSE my Firefox browser. I DO NOT get the OPTION to click on & open "all previous OPEN TABS"! Only one tab at a time & I am not going back five times! HELP?!!! Thank You!!

If I have a window open and open a new window without remembering to ask for a new window it overwrites the existing window. How to make it automatically open a new window?

I don't know which wrong manipulation I have done, but the "+" sign to create new tabs has disappeared.

Could you please help me to get it back ?

(I know that I can right-click and choose "new tab" in the menu, but the "+"sign is definitely more convenient 😅)

I tried unchecking and rechecking all start settings. When I close Firefox, it asks if I want to close all tabs - the only option is to cancel, leaving Firefox open, or Yes, which would close all my tabs and not reopen the tabs on startup.

My recent history is also missing.

Ich werde Firefox nicht mehr benutzen, alle Fenster verschwinden wenn man Firefox wieder startet obwohl dies in den Einstellungen "Vorherige Fenster und Tabs öffnen" steht! Scheinbar ist keiner fähig dies zu beheben und keiner hilft! Sehr fragwürdig!! So könnt ihr euren Firefox beerdigen!!!

I upgraded to a new Surface Pro 12 and now when I launch Firefox it won't open my previous tabs and windows even though I've checked the box "open the previous windows and tabs" under the General/Start Setup. On my previous Surface Pro 3, I never had an issue with this. Am I doing something wrong..? Also when I click on the time in the lower right task bar, it would open the time plus a calendar. Now with the Pro 12 I get the time and a notifications window and no calendar. Is there a way to change Firefox to the way it was on my old Pro 3..?
