Please help me get my Firefox browser back up and running with my Bookmarks, Passwords and Cookies.

Ron Windows & Firefox 88.0 (64 bit) I am not that good with plug-ins and things to add on to speed up my browser.

Why is Firefox now starting to remove bookmarks from my bookmarks menu. Several bookmarks have been repeatedly removed from my list. Just understand me, if you have started to sensor bookmarks , i will leave and use another browser. I am very disappointing with this browser. Open source and and a free community to share info. I guess you have also been taken over by big tech. Very sad, I guess it's Good Bye.

I updated as asked by the AVG about some issue with trying to hack my system. Then updated my firefox and when I tried to login to several accounts said that data was not there. Is there a backup in a file labeled old firefox it created on my system?

Hi, I am unable to sync up the bookmarks from my previous mac to new one. I've synced the bookmarks on firefox account and am able to view them on my mobile when logged in.

I am however finding it impossible to sync on macbook even after signing in.

My PC was broken so I re-installed the OS, then re-installed the Firefox browser, reset the password and signed in to sync the bookmarks, but then I noticed all of my important bookmarks collected in the last 5+ years are lost, is that a Firefox bug? Any way to recover them? Any advice would be much appreciated.

P.S. I'm a developer and bookmarks are very important to me, but this is the second time Firefox lose my bookmarks, the first time was caused by the Firefox Android app years ago, such experience is really frustrated, looks like I might have to give up Firefox and seek for a different browser as my primary browser.

I've noticed recently that most of my older bookmarks aren't showing up as bookmarked. I keep track of manga by date updated and when I went to check them, nothing that I had bookmarked showed as bookmarked. Yes, I know this website sometimes does that and you just need to refresh the page. However it's not just from that site. It's almost every older bookmark I have. The ones I've done in the last few days show, but again the majority of the others from various sites don't. Any suggestions on how to make them show again? Thank you!

Did a Resore on my computer and after lost the bookmarks from my browser, can I get them back?

I had to do a factory reset of my computer a few months ago and reinstall Firefox. I have never found the bookmark folders that I used when I first got Firefox 88. Folders do not show up when I open the library, select bookmarks and manage bookmarks. Now I put all new ones in bookmark toolbar and they are a long list that is difficult to use. Is there a simple way to find and create folders so I can organize the bookmarks in toolbar and put them in folders?

I could not understand the information in the answers to similar questions. I need simple directions that are not too technical for someone without sophisticated computer skills. Thanks in advance.

In my question above, I have taken out 3 sentences but it still says I have too many characters. At first it said I had 11 more than the 255 limit; after deleting all that, it says I have 40 more. It won't make sense if I take out any more.

I recently tried to tidy up my browser bookmarks using 'manage bookmarks' and reordered them and removed several duplicates. The tree structure in the library looks kind-of weird too, as some directories such as 'bookmarks toolbar' appear 3 or 4 times, sometimes nested within itself.

After I had finished reorganising I exited and went to one of the directories on the bookmarks toolbar, but it is still showing all the old and duplicated bookmarks and none of the more recent ones.

What is happening, and is there anything I can do to fix it?

Suddenly I have very old, deleted bookmarks reappearing in my bookmarks folders. I have to manually re-delete each one individually only to have them all reappear the next time I open Firefox. This has to end. What has Mozilla done? Another thought- if Mozilla does not keep any of our info how are bookmarks that have been deleted for more than 2 years deleted reappearing?

Use the current FF version 88.0.1 - Question about the bookmarks toolbar:

After the FF repair are the icons largely anonymized? They work fine - I'm just missing the typical website icon. For example the four-color ebay license plate. - How can I update the anonymous trademarks ??? 

Firefox-Sync is activated, but I've got no changes to the bookmarks-icons. Thanks for the tip ...

I am a 74 y.o. not very computer literate. Eyesight is failing with age,must be lots of other Firefox users in this same boat. Bookmarks menu does not resize according to page font size. Keeping in mind that I am a Dinosaur and do NOT understand P.C. Tech speak. I really need detailed easy to understand directions on how to resize the bookmarks menu.

Maybe this would be a good upgrade for Firefox so all of us elders could use Firefox more easily.

I hope this is possible to do. If this is not an easy fix I at least want to thank you all for helping to make Firefox a very good browser.
