I operate with several to many windows open (and many tabs). Firefox (Mac) used to list the open Windows in the Window menu in the order I originally created/opened each window. A while back, FF started sorting – and re-sorting! – the list of open windows alphabetically according to the Tab that is currently active in each Window. This means that the window appears in different places in the Window menu list according to the name of the Tab. I DO NOT LIKE THAT because the it makes the Window hard to find.

Is there any way to set this to operate the way it used to - keeping the Window list in the order first opened, regardless of which Tab is open?

Trying to use the PWA features. Firefox 144.0 and windows 11.

Clicking the "Add to task bar" button, which makes the PWA window, but if I close the windows it removes the PWA app.

If I manually pin the PWA app to the taskbar, it just becomes a generic firefox bookmark. It seems i'm also not getting a windows pop up related to this when looking at video guides.

Unsure whats blocking it if any has seen before

I despise ai in every use and way with a passion. Now, it gets spammed everywhere on this browser, with no apparent way to disable and/or remove that filth. I don't want to see it, ever! Why is it even on by default??? I don't want "chatbots", "Ai assistants" or any of that shit at all.

I use Microsoft Office 10 Outlook (version 14) for my email. In the past , if I did "file, email link" from Firefox, it would open my MS Office Outlook... As of today , "mailto" now wants to use Gmail or Outlook (web version), and I can see no options to use MS Office Outlook.

I use Firefox because it has less AI bull than other browsers, and even then I still have to use config to get rid of all the stuff you've already added. It's irritating to have to do it. Stop adding more and remove the garbage AI stuff you've already added. Thanks

I am uncomfortable with the push for unnecessary ai content and features on firefox and if they are added without easy ways to remove or disable I will be switching to a different browser

Hello! I use Chrome and Edge browser and after this i install FireFox, but i dont see my favourite function like “install as app” if you release it in ur browser, can u say me where i can get it? When my internet goes out and I check if it's back up by opening Firefox, if it's not back up then all the tabs from the previous session get lost if I close the browser. None of my other browsers do this; they all open with the previous session. This is a major issue, because I lose hours of work each time.

This is both a settings issue, and a privacy and security issue. I want to disable the google lens context menu item to protect my security and privacy from constant AI monitoring. I've almost accidentally clicked the new option before and I don't want to send photos or images to google's AI unless I specifically intend to do so.

I feel like Mozilla is interfering with people's privacy more and more, taking away features from their users, adding features we don't want, butting in and telling us how our browsers should work. This is starting to become absurd. Now you've added AI into the browser that can control how your tabs are displayed and named even, a setting I found while trying to disable Google Lens.

There's a couple other settings I need to figure out how to disable too, such as the context menu of translate and the ChatGPT context menu items. I just removed ChatGPT and a new AI chat bot option appeared. Just wow. What the hell Mozilla. Is your intention to just turn your browser into one big spyware?

Give me the option to disable all of this stuff you keep adding. I have a policy thats supposed to disable your auto updates too but YOU disabled that as well allowing you to install all this malware/spyware into my machine without my authorization.

How can I change the default app opened for mailto links?

I have strong ethical objections to the current generation of LLMs, and really strongly dislike contributing to Google's massive monopoly on most internet spaces, hence my using Firefox instead of Chrome. I was disheartened by the addition of an AI label to Firefox, and really would love to be able to continue using a good browser that doesn't shove AI slop down my throat. If the integration of LLMs to Firefox is going to continue, I wanted to ensure there will at least be some way to remove it from my browser

I do not want AI summary windows popping up, or previewing links, or any AI features in the browser. All AI should be opt in not opt out, yet here I am forced to dig through a config file instead of having an easily accessible setting.

And Mozilla management probably wonder why people dislike them. Hint: this sort of garbage.

I have tried disabling AI settings in about:config such as

• browser.ml.chat.enabled == False
• browser.ml.chat.menu == False
• browser.ml.chat.page == False

However I have continued to see an AI summary window, seemingly at random, sometimes with a long click and sometimes when mousing over text.

I want to be clear to whoever has implemented this; this is invasive, wasteful and frustrating.

I want a single option under settings to disable all AI features. Forcing this on users is a terrible idea and an excellent way to lose market share.
