Hi, after latest update just now, the browsers uses up to 45gb of ram within a few minutes! Not sure what it is, I am on MACOS Sequia Version 15.6.1 (24G90) macbook pro M1

Problem: Cannot clear history from Firefix Started with Menu and clear recent history. Looked everyplace there was information about history. Tried removing individual entries. Ran Malwarebytes. Dell XPS 8960 with Windows 11 less than one year old. No response with any steps I take. Also, there are no error messages. I am unable to clear history no matter which tools I use. No error messages. All the suggestions I tried had no effect. Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.

Oddly, I tried my older Dell Inspiron 3650, with Windows 10, and clear history works like it should. 

Used Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. So far, all the advice goes down the same path; history, clean recent history, manage history, etc.. Tried refreshing and today I deleted Firefox app and reloaded. No improvement. For years I have clicked on the clear history, clear data and manage data on the settings page in privacy and security--directly after leaving every website, just to be sure...now nothing is happening when I click on them. FF is up to date and nothing is different (that I know of).

I updated firefox through apt, and since then, have not been able to log into twitch I am on ubuntu 24

Attempting to log in returns the generic "Your browser is not currently supported"

Je choisis de me connecter avec un mot de passe et après avoir validé le mot de passe, j'arrive sur une page qui me dit d'utiliser un autre appareil ou une autre méthode de connexion. Je joins les fenêtres de connexion étape par étape Avec Google Chrome (que je ne veux pas utiliser), je me connecte sans problème à ma boite mail avec les même étapes décrites ci-dessus. Each time I open Firefox a black symbol appears in the upper right of the Firefox Icon. This began several days ago. What does the symbol mean? See attached image. Is there a way that I can remove this?

Hello. I cant login with firefox today. It says wrong password, but i tried with google chrome and i can login. Its seems the problem to be related to only firefox. I tried deleting the cookies and stop extensions, try to login with private browsing, refresh firefox and i still cant login with firefox. I dont get e-mail if i try to reset password with firefox while with chrome i get. Yesterday everything was fine.

Just built a new PC and using Win11. I like to have a pinned tab in Firefox playing some kind of media to have background noise. Since new build, whenever I am not 'focused' on that tab and doing other tasks, audio from that tab will cut/fade in and out.

I've been working on this for 16 hours. I've googled, binged, even yahooed. No answers. Checked and rechecked all settings, both system and browser. Uninstalled/Reinstalled *many* applications, including Firefox. My OCD won't let me rest till I have this solved.

Hey, I am trying to synchronize my mobile tabs with my desktop app. Unfortunately, this is not working. I am using the latest version of Firefox and Windows 10. Any ideas how and if I can solve this problem? Thank you in advance.

Since the last update, the firefox taskbar icon is showing a strange shopping card icon? How can I remove it? I am not shopping with Firefox, I am using it as my web browser.

Something very bad happened to me today (11/3)....

Firefox 144.0.2 was installed on 10/30/25, and everything has been fine until today. I don't know why or how, but ALL of my OPEN tabs (of which I have many--and have it fixed so they always re-open when Firefox starts), ALL went away.

In reading conventional steps to recover such from sessionstore-backups, those instructions sounded straightforward. However, even though ALL FIREFOX PROCESSES were ended, I could not copy the contents of the sessionstore-backups folder nor could I delete anything--EVEN THOUGH I am the owner.

Even after providing Admin perms.

I could get rid of profiles.ini, which initially proved diasterous, because then Firefox thought I was brand new, so ALL of my passwords saved through Firefox these many years, went "poof".

Fortunately, I was able to get that back, but I still cannot get all of my tabs back, and conventional instructions to do so aren't working.

After recovering from my heart attack for initially losing my passwords, I am breathing a little better right now, but it sure would be nice to get all of my open tabs back again. I don't know why I am not able to manipulate the files within sessionstore-backups. I think if I could eliminate the files in that folder EXCEPT for upgrade.jsonlz4-20251027123126, which possesses a 10/29/25 date, these should be the open tabs just before the 144.0.2 installation, and all should be right with the world, once more.

I have performed/examined many steps offered under this category, but most assume I can copy them elsewhere for safe-keeping and/or removing all but the one I want Firefox to "use". Because something is preventing me from doing this, though, I am being stymied in what ought to be the solution. As a test, I was able to copy files from a much older profile--so I can prove the basic steps SHOULD HAVE worked. Unfortunately, I cannot do the same with THE (more recent) folder in question. I can't get rid of parent.lock, either (and I have ensured no Firefox processes are running via Task Manager).

Repeatedly.

Something else is at work, here. Any help or assistance from community experts would be most helpful.

Hello.

After the recent update that added profiles to Firefox I have gotten them working on my personal computer but not on my work pc.

The option for creating profiles showed up once when launching the browser but I had to dismiss it at the time. Now I can't find the option to create profiles any more, I have followed the guides that mozilla have put out but the option physically is not there.

I have also tried reinstalling Firefox but that also did not work.

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a (0x0000000000000030, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80274225392) CAUSE WAS FIREFOX.EXE

Firefox always auto-fills in the wrong phone number. But I can't find a setting that contains my phone number. How do I change my phone number that Firefox auto-fills?

(If any relevance, I'm on Macos 12 Monterey) 'Installation and updates' seemed the nearest topic due to the 'update' part of it, since this seems to only have been happening since this version, or I have simply not noticed due to not having needed to know. But if you look at my two screenshots, you will see the issue. There simply is no About Firefox on my firefox. Neither directly listed on the menu, nor as part of the 'help' sub menu.

Is there, for the sake of learning, a simple fix, so that I donlt have to uninstall/re-install? or an 'about config' type fix? Screenshot 1 shows the menu Screenshot 2 shows help sub-menu As you can see, absolutely no About Firefox

And, only potential issue may be, as you'll see from the share data upload is that I've a lot of tabs open, as I've got a lot to get through toniught, and tomorrow. So, maybe, t=though doubtfully, it is because it isn't handling the tabs and this caused a menu entry to be missing? Surely not likely.

Unsure if it really matter, for now, but my firefox account, when I go to edit bits and pieces, it gets my Firefox version correct, but gets my MacOs version wrong. I'm on 12.76 (Monterey), but Firefox is showing me as 10. Is this normal or anything that might matter?
