unable to see cast option on few websites like most websites. I tried to install the fx_cast option where I can see the cast icon now, but when I play youtube videos and click on cast button (fx_cast), its not detecting my google chromecast. Google chromecast is detected in edge and chrome browsers, but why is my TV not detected in firefox. Like I cannot see the cast icon on many websites where I see the cast icon on edge and chrome browsers, the icon itself is missing in many websites. Please make sure the wireless TV is atleast detected in firefox browser. I have tried so many changes and it does not detect my wireless tv or does not show my chromecast tv signal. Something is wrong with your browser, its not working fine. I have enabled the flag casting in the browser about:config as well. Appreciate it if you can please fix it asap as the streaming is abs fine in firefox browser and the same website runs slow in chrome and edge, which is why I need to use firefox to cast to my tv. Appreciate your help in this regards.

There are two suggestions (or questions if I simply cannot find these): - as the default behaviour of the browser, I want to be able to only see websites from Europe. However, when I am trying to use it in firefox as my Start Page, it opens all of these in separate tabs and it does not work. Also as far as I understand using the link is not possible for new tabs.

The reason is simple. For example, when looking for cooking recipes, pages from the USA use strange units that cannot be understood and there is no point in translating each of these manually as all recipes are available in million of versions - it is just a matter of clicks. But I don't want to waste time each time on checking the websites one by one; if the cooking website is from Europe, the units will be of a standard and I don't have to worry. It is the same in relation to many products of any kind. European and American markets are completely different and reading description of something only to find out at the end that it is only available in the USA is waste of time.

- it should be possible in firefox to block some websites or portals by some button. I know that there is an add-on for this but it is only for 10 pages or so, so in reality it is not very useful. It also only works in the way that the page won't open when clicked on. However, it would be much better if unwanted portals or websites were simply removed from search results.

There are too many fake websites nowadays providing incorrect or misleading information. If it happens that I come across one of these, I want to be doing that only once - and block them forever.

The photos page in OneDrive is having trouble loading most of the time. The page has the OneDrive header, and the section where the photos should show up is simply blank. Screenshot attached.

This is working fine on Google Chrome, but I would prefer not to use chrome for privacy reasons.

Can anyone help me with this?

I cannot open OneDrive with Firefox. I tested Safari and Chrome to see if they have the same problem. They both were able to open OneDrive. The only Firefox extensions I have are Adblocker Ultimate and Print Friendly & PDF.

Good day, A month ago my system froze. Firefox re-loaded and went back to a clean install with none of my settings saved. Managed to get it back to where I had it before with one exception: All of a sudden, when I try to log into certain web pages, even Amazon, I get this message:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.amazon.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Are such searches controlled via Firefox? If so, do I need to change a Firefox setting to overcome the problem?

Seems as if Firefox is updating every other day lately. I have Dashlane on my tool bar, and it seems to freeze/disable after every update. When I open Dashlane separately in the browser and log in, it congratulates me on installing it on a new device. What is Firefox changing with its updates that makes my computer look different to Dashlane? I cannot find the Dashlane version running but I do have it on automatically update.

Hello, I was reinstalling my OS, and I didn't create recovery code for my data to retrieve it after (which I found out after reinstalling my OS) on my Mozilla Firefox account, I had a lot of passwords, bookmarks and data that I need to recover, also for my full time job a lot of valuable data which I have lost now. The new-ish print dialog every so often infuriates me. Today I needed to print a web page in landscape mode. But there was no landcape mode on offer. My printer definitely capable of printing in landscape

The warning "This file contains a virus or malware" keeps appearing from my downloads progress bar even though the files have been deleted and the download history has been repeatedly cleared. I've restarted my mac several times to no avail. Please can you help? Magnus

Lately, there are times when I try to use Google Products like Maps and nothing happens. I'll type a key word to do a search or type google maps in the Firefox search bar and there is no response. It's not a Google issue as the products will work if I switch browsers. It doesn't happen all the time but has been happening more frequently lately. When it does, I always check to make sure Firefox is up to date. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Using Firefox on desktop, Windows 11. I am a long term Firefox fan/user.

My problem is I cannot find anywhere an easy method to add a shortcut on my Home Screen (which has now been a FF feature for some considerable time).

I am sure there was something available to do this in a prior version some time back. If I search the internet, I only come across articles describing how to do it on Firefox Android.

I know I can manually edit a box on the Home Screen to create what I need.

Sometimes new web sites that I visit appear in the boxes and I can then pin them in place - but the behavior around this is very erratic and unreliable - seems like random chance for an icon to appear on the home screen for a newly visited site. If this was more consistent, I could work with that.

BUT - where is the **intuitive** option??!!

I should be able to right-click on a tab and select "Add to Home Screen".

As simple as that.

Or drag and drop a link, or tab to the home screen - but this just opens the link. I have tried everything obvious that I can think of.

Before I took my computer to a repair facility and had to reinstall Firefox, my recent activity bar had all the websites I use and wanted quick access to along one lovely line. Now I have a bunch of "suggested" crap Firefox must be getting paid for along my recent activity bar. I've never visited these pages and selecting the menu trying to dismiss them doesn't work. How do I eliminate the sponsored sites and get what I want along the recent activity bar?

I am currently creating a website in WordPress. It has many embedded YouTube videos.

On pages with embedded YouTube videos, in order to go back to the previous page, I have to click the Back button multiple times. If I right-click on the back button, I see that the page I am currently on has been listed multiple times.

Many other support questions list this issue. I have found that if I disable "Site Isolation" (URL about:config -> set fission.autostart to false -> restart Firefox), the issue goes away.

I am interested, however, in the user experience for those who will go to my site. Is there anything I can do so that "Site Isolation" does not cause this problem?

I used to sign in to my credit card through Elan Financial Services and then I would highlight my credit card, tell it the date range I needed to update to Quicken, and hit enter. a popup would give me the option of opening the file or to save the quicken file to my computer. I would select the option to open the file and it would update my register on Quicken. Now, I only get the option to save the file to my computer. On Microsoft Edge, I still get the choice to open or save the file. Why doesn't Firefox support the Open Function anymore. I use Firefox for everything, but now I have to remember to switch to Edge for this one important update. Is this a change in Firefox or something I have to deal with Elan on? Every time I log in or refresh outlook, I get an email ad for outlook upgrade. It is from microsoft, and can be opened as an email, but it is an ad and can't be blocked. These emails remain blocked with Brave, and I am running an ad blocker. Will mozilla update to remove these ads, or is there an ad blocker that works better with Mozilla. When I inspect it, the first line shows:-
