Hello, Firefox randomly downloaded a file, with seemingly randomly name, that is 0 bytes and in download manager the source is moz-safe-about. It happened when I was accessing a popular wiki site. I opened the file in notepad, it was empty. I put it on virus total and came back negative, as it is an empty file. I've curbed through the support tickets here, using the keyphrase 'moz-safe-about'. I understand this was/is quite a common problem, but it still makes me quite worried and left a sour taste in my mouth, as I haven't understood any of the explanations. I have enabled firefox to ask me whenever it wants to save something (I have no idea why this isnt the default state). Happened on a somewhat fresh, updated win 11 installation. I'm also attaching more information here with a picture. Long story short: should I be worried? Am I overreacting and this is just some sort of a bug that occurred while getting a sites data? Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly

I was able to open reddit.com without any problems earlier, but recentrly I'm not able to load it up anymore. The loading screen is eternal and it doesnt show any kind of error (unless it tries to connect for too long like a couple of minutes, then the error does shows up). The site still sends me notificarions through the browser though. Any other site loads up without a problem. I tried to use methods mentioned in the help article (turned off proxy, turned on network.dns.disableIPv6, deleted cookies and cache). In other browsers (Edge, for example) reddit.com loads just fine. Please help me if you can.

For System Administrative reasons, I want to disable automatic Firefox updates. Firefox can ask me if I want to install an update, but I get to choose whether or not to update.

I have windows 11 pro 23H2 and latest Firefox installed. I have no keyboard attached to computer and when I touch the adress bar nothing happens, touch keyboard does not show up. I tried with 3 different computers. Edge and Chrome works and shows the touch keyboard. Any suggestions or is there a bug?

I noticed that a setting on the about:config page was removed: the "security.csp.enable" setting. I was using this setting to disable CSP to be able to load local JS scripts on some non-locally hosted sites, for debugging and development, work related purposes.

Was this setting really removed? Is there a way to disable CSP on Firefox on the latest version?

I am trying to add my Android phone as a device to Firefox. I initially invoked the code scanner next to the search bar, but got a message saying that the code had to be scanned from within the Firefox app. So I installed the app and followed these instructions entitled "Connect Another Device".

There is no Turn on Sync option in the Settings menu. I have looked in every menu item that appears even remotely related to syncing with a QR code or adding a device and come up empty.

I found this exact issue in two existing questions, but neither of them had ever been answered, which makes me less than confident that mine will. If there is a Turn on Sync option in Settings, and I just overlooked it, please explain step-by-step where I can find it. If there really is no Turn on Sync option, please provide an alternate method of adding my Android phone.

I like to clear the cache on a regular basis but then Facebook does not recognize my laptop and I have trouble logging back on. Is it possible to clear the cache for all but a select website? Thanks

my pc had friend so when i got a new one i lost all of my firefox data, how can i get all of it back so i was forced to start all over, i lost all my, bookmarks, tabs, history and saved passwords

Hi Firefoxes! I updated to the latest and greatest 99.0.1, whenever i use the middle mouse button it opens every link in 2 tabs. Also when i middle mouse on a tab, 2 tabs are closed. Anyone came along this bug? Restarting FF and Windows did not help. Trying to get my notebook charged and check it on my macbook.

I downloaded a large filed in my Firefox Browser and it took me 2 days to download the file but when it's almost done, it suddenly failed download. Can you help me resume the download? I think it stopped around 60 gig.

I had a Firefox account on my phone. I got hacked. So I uninstalled the Firefox app. I got the upgrade for Lookout and added that to my phone. I opened a new Firefox browser on my PC because I was tired of Google and I don't like Bing. I think you are still using my phone account. dawniegirl1973. lt has never been a primary or secondary email for phone or Pc. But you caught the last hacker! I would like an upgrade with Firefox on both PC and phone if I wouldn't have to pay for both devices. Would that cover both PC and phone? They are not linked, but they do share 2 emails and passwords. I also would like VPN, if that would secure my wifi. But I need a network that I can use for all my internet needs. I don't know what all VPN does. Please help me out. I don't know what to do anymore. It's all gotten so confusing. I'm tired of being hacked. Please advice. I trust, you, Firefox and I want you on both devices can we do this?

I cannot access my primary Firefox account, don't have a two-step authentication app configured for the account, can't find recovery codes, and don't have a logged-in device. In addition, I subscribe to premium services linked to the affected Firefox account, so I'm now unable to access them as well. To ask this question, I created a new Firefox account.

What should I do now? It seems I'm stuck paying for services I can no longer access. I can't even cancel the premium services since I can't access the affected Firefox account. How can I contact Mozilla Corp?

New computer, running Windows 11, McAfee LiveSafe came with for 30 day trial. I use Firefox, have since 1997. Just added Mozilla VPN. Old computer ran Xubuntu. Windows 11 needs antivirus because it's Windows. So. How compatible are McAfee LiveSafe and Firefox with Mozilla VPN? What suggestion, if any, does Mozilla have for an antivirus program that will work well for Windows 11 but not mess with Firefox and Mozilla VPN? Thank you.
