I use the Firefox profile manager. Multiple profiles. I extract the contents of the executable, essentially making it portable.

Lately, I'm getting this at times, particularly when there after an update. I'm taken here, but how do you determine which choice, since there is no way to identify them?

i don't want to change browsers so how do i do this on firefox? Captioning for tutorial videos: Live Captions in Chrome Browser (Version 89 or Higher) Live Caption is only available in English.

         On your computer, open Chrome .
         At the top right, click More   Settings.
         At the bottom of the Settings page, click Advanced  Accessibility  Captions.
         Turn on Live Caption.

So, my browser says "managed by your organisation" at the top of the screen when it's my personal browser and really should be managed by me. I tried reinstalling but it's still there

I want to get rid off all settings for a domain. I delete all the settings and then log in and they come right back. Specifically for Zoom but I would like to get rid of all saved settings for a domain from my logged in data. I have deleted fire fox and they just reappear. I want this to stop.

Over the last week, I've noticed that my Bookmarks in Firefox keep disappearing, it's happened before but they've always come back when I've closed my browser and restarted. Today I went to the Bookmarks and they've gone, I tried closing the browser and restarting my desktop computer too. I've look at every help I can but I can't get the Bookmarks back. I've got (I had) a lot of Bookmarks and preferred to go through the Bookmarks to get to the sites I want. I like Firefox but I really do need the Bookmarks to show. Also, when I tried to import my backup(s) it wouldn't do it either.

I've run Norton full scan but it found no threats.

I'm on W10 Home, 64 bit - Microsoft hasn't update in the last week so I've ruled them out too.

Would some kind person please help, I'd be most grateful as I've run out of things to try - by the way I'm not a techie.

Firefox is not allowing me to save bookmarks into my toolbar folders. Is there a limit as to how many can be saved into a toolbar folder? This has been going on for over a month now. I use a VPN. Is the VPN causing an issue?

OS: Windows 11 PRO and Windows 11 Home (both 64-bit) Firefox Version: 135.0

Recently set up a computer to use latest version of Firefox. Thought I could just copy and paste the files in the profile folder to the new computer. Found out that didn't work so deleted all the files in the profile folder on the new computer. Copied to a USB stick the Profiles folder on the old computer (according to instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles). Pasted the folder to the Profiles folder on the new computer.

Attempted to start the Profile Manage without starting Firefox on the new computer in order to create a new profile and point it to the files just copied. This is where the problem occurs!

Regardless of what I type in the "Run" dialog box, Profile Manager will NOT open! After hitting Enter, it opens Firefox! I've tried typing all of the following in the "Run" space:

firefox.exe -P
firefox.exe -p
firefox.exe -ProfileManager

What am I doing wrong? Any help would certainly be appreciated1

Hi there, I login to outlook and gmail every time I open firefox. I have chosen outlook as the default for clicking a link that opens email. And in my gmail tab it keeps asking me if I want to open it instead. Well no I don't but all I can click is "not now" and then it keeps pestering me every time I open firefox. Is there an option like "not ever, please go away"? How can I stop the question. Thanks for you time on this one.

I want links that I open (in Firefox, from Firefox, like opening any normal link) to open in the same tab (unless otherwise specific, like a normal browser should work), and all links from other applications to open in a new tab.

Whenever I click a link, it overrides my current tab, even if I'm working on something important. Apps do not always make it obvious what might be a URL. Windows for instance LOVES to open up "support" links in your browser. Firefox also does this itself with its update function, it opens up its update notification by overwriting your previous tab.

This is a really, really basic feature that should really be a default setting, but it doesn't seem to exist in settings at all.

Why cant the editor not pick-up the font that the document is being drafted in so that one can edit in the same font and size....? surely it will make it much more authentic.....

I've been exploring the new AI Chatbot feature integrated into Firefox's sidebar and find it quite impressive. However, I've encountered a limitation: the inability to resize the chat page within the sidebar. This restriction affects the readability and usability of the chat interface.

Is there a way to adjust the size of the chat page in the sidebar?

The new AI Chatbot in Firefox's sidebar is great, but there's no keyboard shortcut to open it. As a Tree Style Tabs user, I frequently switch sidebars, and manually clicking the chatbot disrupts workflow.

It would be helpful to have a shortcut (e.g., F2) to quickly toggle the AI sidebar. Are there any plans to add this?
