Is it possible for the application on my computer to read the bookmarks of the browser?

I've been slowly migrating away from Chrome to Firefox on advice from friends. All of my bookmarks from Chrome were able to be imported, but not logins and websites. I have followed all of the steps regarding privacy settings and importing such info, including making sure Chrome is closed before importing, but to no avail. In addition, when I try to manually save logins/passwords in Firefox, the dialogue box asking if I want to save this information appears and I select yes. However, when I check my saved logins/passwords, there are zero.
All of my permissions are set to allow Firefox to remember this information, yet it still doesn't after multiple attempts on my part and multiple messages from FF saying that it has successfully saved said info.
In addition, when trying to import logins/passwords from Chrome, the dialogue box says it was successful, but another yellow dialogue box appears telling me to login with my Primary Password, yet does nothing when I click on it except take me to the Logins and Passwords page.
Is there a step I'm missing in all of this that would make the browser tell me all of this is working when in fact it isn't?

Hi
in earlier versions I could copy cert_override.txt and cert8.db to "program files\mozilla firefox\defaults\profile" and then all users logging in to my session host server got the correct approved sites.
but in newer version, now running 86, trying to do the same with cert_override.txt and cert9.db does not work
how do I solve this ?

In Preferences > Security & Privacy, I have the boxes checked to ask to save and autofilling login & password info. But the browser does not do it. It asks, but saves nothing when I answer Yes. This has been the case since I refreshed the browser at Firefox's suggestion last week. Worked fine prior to that. iMac running macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6. Thanks.

Trying to use a virtual terminal for my credit card processing for my business but firefox is not giving access to share location to the site even after I have manually allowed location sharing. This is the message I receive when I try to use the terminal: Sorry, we can’t load Virtual Terminal. We couldn't access your location. To use Virtual Terminal, allow Clover dashboard to know your location on your browser, then refresh the page How do I get this corrected?

Hello,
I'm running Firefox ESR 78.9.0 and using the mozilla configfile and GPO. We're using Webmarshal and needed to import for all of our user the SSL certificate.
I succeeded and firefox now sees this certificate under the certificates, but firefox does not read it. For example, we have a block on facebook.com, but we can still access it, even though the certificate is in it.
I found out that if I manually enter the socks host with ipaddress, my sites will be blocked, but I can't manage to put this in the config file.
What I added: lockPref("network.proxy.socks", "servername.domain.nl"); lockPref("network.proxy.socks_port", 1234);
But when I open firefox, it cannot read the confile file with these 2 prefs. I would like some support so that these sites are also blocked on firefox. They are now only blocked on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
Thanks!

after starting firefox, it asks for the master passwort. thats fine so far. if i`m not quick enough filling it, ff opens a second box, asking for the master passwort, overwriting the first box. how can i disable that, and configure that firefox opens only one box to fill the masterpasswort during the start?
thanks

Is it a problem with the coding of the website? If so what?

https://www.nectar.com/ has changed. The log in page is now:- https://www.nectar.com/id/start/enter-card-number The saved password for https://www.nectar.com doesn't appear or work on this page. The automatic 'Saving 'new' password' doesn't appear or work. Deleting and saving the new address https://www.nectar.com/id/start/enter-card-number doesn't work either because Firefox Logins and passwords deletes everything after .com?
Round and round and round we go.
Why is there no way to contact Firefox? Nobody on/in the Community can make the required technical changes?
So this is all just frustration and time wasting?
Shouldn't Firefox have recognised this themselves and made the necessary changes?

I use Firefox 87 on a number of notebooks duel booting various distros of linux (Mint, Manjaro, and MX Linux) and Windows 10, as well as a desktop running Windows 10.
On the notebooks Firefox is set to always use private browsing mode in both linux and Windows. On the desktop machine it isn't, but I always have private windows open. On the desktop version of Firefox private windows have the purple circle with a mask icon to show they are private. On the machines that are set to always use private mode Firefox never shows that icon, so I have to go on faith that they are private. Is there a reason always private doesn't also have the private icon?
Also, on the machines where Firefox is launched in always private mode, it always open 2 separate windows. This is a consistent thing when in always private mode.
