Why can a stupid failing script on a web-page, or even intentionally so programmed script disable the copy (and sometimes paste) functionality?

How can this be disabled/fixed?

One highlights a text (any text) on some web sites, Edit menu allows Copy, context menu allows Copy, one hits Copy, nothing happens. It's not even a page where someone wanted to "copy protect" some information.

Copy and Paste should work just as advertised since those were invented, how hard can it be to get that right? Even stupid Notepad never fails at it. And no, I don't care what the idiot who programmed a page though would be/should be best for me, I want Copy to be copy, Paste to be paste. This used to work in "original" Firefoxes even when page developers wanted to make it not work.

And yes, while on a given page Copy fails miserably, at the same time in other pages it works.

My account is not syncing to any Firefox browser, extensions, passwords, bookmarks non of this attributes will be loaded to my browser back after re-installation, What might the issue be?

The ability to edit and customize the headers and footers for printing was one of my main reasons for switching from Chrome to Firefox. Now I can't find where to do this. I don't know if it was a recent update or what but I am using Windows 10 Home. Please help so I don't have to find a new browser.

Wenn mein gesamter PC noch mal wegen FirefoxUpdate runterfährt, schmeiß ich alle Mozilla produkte von meinem PC runter und nutze Microsoft Edge oder Chrome. Jetzt reichts. Euer SCHEIß Update könnt ihr euch selber verpassen. Jedes mal gehen meine ARbeiten verloren, weil Firefox sich oberste Prioritäten setzt den PC runter zu fahren. Das kann's nicht sein. Und um kontakt aufzunehmen mußte ich 30 klicks machen. Ich werde euch nicht mehr weiter empfehlen. Ich habe 8 PC's in meinem Haushalt und alle das selbe problem.

In MacOS Big Sur 11.1 on my MacBook, I have set MacOS to automatically switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode. But I notice that Firefox does not handle this well. When I have used my MacBook Dark Mode and switch back to Light Mode, Firefox still hangs in Dark Mode. The only way to solve this is to choose Light Mode in System Preferences instead of automatic.

This is less of a question than it is negative feedback.

The new print experience allows me to enter a page scale, but it removed the previous ability to pick a page scale from a drop-down. It also closes as soon as the print is compete, retaining the manually entered scale.

Here's my old process: Load the page that needs 70% scale. Set the scale from drop-down. Print. Return the scale to 100% from drop-down. Close. The next page does not require any special attention, it will print from a single button push.

New process: Load the page that needs 70% scale. Open "more settings." Remove hands from mouse to type in 70. Print. Next page now requires undoing the first. Open page that needs 100% scale, open "more settings", remove hands from mouse to type in 100. Print.

The old process took 3 extra clicks. The new process takes 6 extra clicks plus moving hands to the keyboard. Talk about a "first world problem!" Nevertheless, there was no need to take something that was working well and make it less functional.

My laptop location in Firefox is using my former home location. But when I do the same Weather Google Search or Google Map website in Chrome, the location is my current location in North Carolina. This true whether I'm logged into my Google account or not Signed in to my Google account.

In Firefox I've checked Tools/Options/Privacy & Security/Permissions/Location/Settings. It lists 3 sites that have asked for access to my Locations: google, home depot and BedBathBeyond. Yet when I use Google to search "weather", it gives me Wayne NJ. This section will not let me add Google Maps.

In Security I changed Block Pop-ups to continue to have a checkmark but added google.com and maps.google.com as exceptions and restarted Firefox. Google Maps still shows Wayne NJ and weather sometimes shows North Carolina but mostly shows Wayne NJ

Are there any other settings in Firefox I need to update? Or are there settings in Windows I need to update.? I'm using Windows 10 and Firefox 85.0

My Firefox routinely shuts down while I'm using my 2018 Macbook Pro, and the problem began when I updated my IOS to Big Sur This is a systemic problem with non-native apps ever since installing Big Sur. Apple won't address the problem unless I confirm that my non-native apps are compatible with Big Sur. Can you please confirm the most updated version of the Firefox Browser is compatible with Apple's Big Sur IOS? Can you also let me know if other users have experienced problems and if there is any fix?

When printing PDF document from web site using Firefox part of the left text is cut off. I have tried "Fit to Page" and shrink to 90% and still have issue. I can print this web document with Edge with no problem. This problem just started in the last several days. I am using Win 10 professional on a Del Opti-Plex 5080.

So I've been experiencing a rather annoying bug/issue, and I have a work around for it, but I would love if anyone could help me figure out the issue at hand. I couldn't find a relevant, up to date solution for this issue.

Basically, certain websites (the most notable being Reddit) will eventually no longer load. In fact, it won't even try to load. I will click a link from a Google search, or even just type in the URL for Reddit directly, and Firefox just does nothing. No error, no loading, nothing. The tab will stay blank with the URL listed as the name of the tab. I can't seem to tell if other browsers have this issue as it requires a bit of use/time to pass, but it doesn't seem to be an issue in Explorer. It isn't JUST Reddit, but it's only a couple of sites that this occurs on.

I do have a workaround --- if I tell Firefox to "Forget This Website" - suddenly it will work again. I will be logged out and see the default page due to having deleted all saved dated - but the site will work (for maybe a day) before I have to forget it again.

If this was a once a month type issue it wouldn't be a big deal, but the fact that I have to constantly re-do my local settings because of this is frustrating.

I am running Windows 10 and my Firefox version is 85.0 (64-bit). I have tried disabling any add-ons such as my AdBlocker, however that does not fix the issue.

Hello, I have recently purchased a new laptop computer as my old one crashed. It is running Windows 10 which is new and unfamiliar to me. I am also using Firefox V85 as my default browser. In building my new bookmarks folder list I found the folder icons are coloured a nasty shade of grey. However, running Firefox on older operating systems (eg XP or Windows 8.1) the folders are a pleasing yellow colour. I have exhausted myself trawling the web, Youtube, and the Firefox help topics in trying to find a way to change the folder icon colour, but with no sucess. Please accept my apologies as I suspect that this question will have been asked before, but I cannot find any references to it. If anyone knows how to do this, please be aware that, whilst I am literate, I don't necessarily understand arcane computer terminology so I would welcome a simple key stroke by key stroke walk through. If there is a fix, it needs to work in both the Toolbar and the Sidebar. Many Thanks Chris

I'm not sure what has happened but my Firefox browser no longer plays Amazon Prime Videos; quite simply the "play video" links don't work. I've played with the DRM settings, refreshed Firefox via the support options, and have installed the latest version of the browser. I'm running a Win10 desktop. Netflix works fine and Amazon Prime Video works fine through MS Edge, but I can't figure this one out. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try?

I wish to know how to fix this issue (magnet links) ? I've installed bittorrent, but not showing on d.a.s page, after refreshing Firefox. Error msg: This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page.

Firefox colour addon removed the whole existing theme, replaced everything with it's default selections.

I use a custom theme, I just want to change the text colours on the menu bar, tab bar and bookmark bar. But the color addon destroyed the whole theme when I made any single change. I had disable and enable the theme to restore it. How do I import the theme to color addon so I can edit it?
