Firefox (on a MacBook Pro, OS 10.14.5) rapidly stopped working today. First, one open page stopped updating (webmail), but others (e.g., weather) still worked. Soon, progressively, nothing worked, and it wouldn't open new pages, links, or bookmarks. I downloaded a new version, 106.0.1, but that dmg file wouldn't open: "no such file or directory" (despite ostensibly containing 135 MB). Yet that version seems to be what's running now. I don't know how recently my Firefox got updated; possibly an update is the problem, but why newly today is unclear. I'm now using Safari, since Firefox is kaput.

Hey folks, i'm not sure if anyone else has seen this issue.

I have YT Premium for downloading videos when i'm out and about on mobile and laptop, i've noticed on the browser the download option is now missing with the newest Firefox update.

I opened YT in Chrome and Edge and the option is available - obviously I don't want to swap away from Firefox, so thought i'd raise it if others are having the same issue.

I'll also raise a ticket with Youtube to see if they're doing something dodgy.

Hi FireFox Team, When I open the websote kipp tip.de, the page does not react to button clicks. In other browsers, this works without any problems. Is there a solution?

I hardly use tabs, and I have a widescreen notebook. So one of the most important features a browser must have is not to waste vertical space.

Unfortunately, Firefefox still has always tab bar open even if there is only one tab.

There was a css code to overcome this problem. Unfortunately, it does not work with FF 106 anymore (another one stopped working with 103). It always shows a "+" sign and uses vertical space.

1. ) How can I get rid of the tab bar? Is there a working css code or is it a feature now of FF? 2.) BTW, also one of the most important addons for me "I don't care about cookies" is not working anymore 3.) How can I fully stop updates? They are causing far too many problems 4.) I already know that css and addons are not officially supported by Mozilla.

  I come back for a problem that I faced some months ago and I think is getting worse, meaning that it looks like it is affecting more applications. 
  I first noticed that there are some greek websites, that are loading pop-up cookies settings with corrupted greek characters. The rest of the site displays greek properly. When I open the Inspector and check the font, it is Helvetica family font that is not appearing correctly (image 1). This is the case when in Settings->General->Fonts->Advanced, the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" checkbox is selected-ticked. When the checkbox is de-selected/unticked, the same pop-up cookies settings is displaying properly (image 2). The problem remains using Chrome, but Firefox is my main browser. 
  The same issue exists with Thunderbird as well, where again in Settings->General->Fonts->Advanced, the checkbox "Allow messages to use other fonts" changes the way emails appear in greek language (images 3 and 4). 
  I have also noticed that with Discord application, there is a similar issue (image 5). Some greek characters are not displaying properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled Discord (in greek), but the problem remains the same. When installing english version of Discord, it is ok. 
 The problem also seems to be with greek language versions of websites, like facebook homepage in english and in greek language (images 6 and 7). 
 I have tried to search for similar problems and suggested solutions on the internet, but there is no permanent solution so far for my PC. I have followed https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fi... solution, running Firefox in Troubleshoot mode, which resolves the problem temporarily, but not permanently. According to the above solution, "the likely cause is an extension, theme or hardware acceleration", but when I follow every step to determine which one of these (extension, theme or hardware acceleration) is the problem, all of these prove to work properly (supposing I'm following steps correctly). 
 I'm not sure if this is a Mozilla or a Windows issue. Therefore, any suggestions for a permanent solution would be much appreciated.

Last few days , my laptop( windows 10) system got hanged for some reason. Then second time I got the message on my laptop , that Software Mozzila Firefox got crashed. It had stopped working for few minutes then I restarted it. 1) Has it happened to my System? 2) or even others got the same experience? 3) How to start PC when windows stopped working Suddenly. 4)Was the Mozzila Firefox failure / crash, was the reason, behind PC not working during first time? 5) On laptop a message appears , to upgrade Operating system to Windows 11( currently it is windows 10) from MS. I have had access to the following website through Firefox for many years – no problem. Today, it comes up with the error message and reference indicated below. Nothing I do – cache clearing and the like, makes any difference. Denied access. No other website has been altered in this way. Any thoughts – is this down to you?

Trying to add credit card that is memorized in FF. A POPUP comes up asking for the PIN. I do not remember the PIN. The screen shows a note to change/edit go to Setting - Accounts- PIN. Problem is there is no heading stating ACCOUNTS under Settings.

Firefox not registering the "SUBMIT" button at bottom of the page to "submit" an application for student loan partial debt relief. Click on it and it never submits, even though the form is completed and no omissions are noted. Instantly works just fine on CHROME. My peers noted same issue. Changing back to Chrome due to this. This is a new pc, about a week or two old, and I've noticed on a couple of different pages that places that should show a button or a checkbox are showing the html label instead.

Booted up the old pc (running FF version 105.0.3) to double-check and all pages are displaying just fine over there.

I have sync turned on, so both browsers are running the exact same plugins. And I did try disabling all the plugins on the new one just in case, and it made no difference.

Hi, using Firefox 106 on Windows 10. I'd like to disable the recent new 'feature' where, if I type a right-arrow > into the address bar, it goes into something called "actions". Can anyone help? Many thanks.

I have an account that I am unable to log into or reset the password for. When I attempt to do either, I receive an error saying "Primary account email required for reset" which appears to be a database issue.

I believe that this could be fixed by populating the "Primary account email" field with the current contents of the username so I am finally able to log in with that account.

Is there any way I can get in touch with someone at Mozilla to get this issue fixed?

I tried contacting Mozilla Customer Service, but there is absolutely no way to do it. You customer service leaves much to be desired.

You updated your unstable system. It did the update, but now my saved passwords are missing. If your system deletes the passwords, what kind of safety do users of Firefox are guarantee? If this issue is not resolved, I will leave and delete your browser NEVER to use it again. In addition, I created a Firefox account long time ago to supposedly have my passwords secure. At this point all the passwords are missing. What security is your system providing?
