Hi, whoever may read this ...

I asked friendly & helpful volunteer @jscher2000 a couple of days ago about the Strange Case of the Disappearing Bookmarks that suddenly befell me in FF last week.

Last night, the Bookmarks came back - or came back in part, so to speak. ~ ~ There are outstanding problems. I hope these too resolve themselves or can be resolved in the near future, as it is a bit debilitating.

So, what are my current issues/problems with Bkmrks in FF?

1) Can't search my Bookmarks any more.

I enter a search term in the Bkmrks Search box (whether all Bookmarks or a defined subsection/folder I have made) - never a response but blank (though I know that term is among bookmarks somewhere) - and then, the content list of that sub-folder of my Bookmarks even goes blank when I search there. (That content list returns when I click on another folder and back to that one, but that's not much consolation.)

2) Problem adding any new Bookmarks.

Though the "Bookmarks Star" lights up when I try to add a new Bkmrk - suggesting it has been saved - the new saves are nowhere visible among "Bookmarks". Not under the folder I chose to save them to (or tried), nor anywhere else I can see under Bookmarks, such as in the general folder.

3) Can't even Export Bookmarks any more - as html or in any other format.

I go to Manage Bookmarks, etc., and click "Export as html" ,,, nothing happens. There is no trace of an exported html or other file at the location where I decided to save the file.

(To explain what may be obvious: the point of the (attempted) Exportation on this occasion is to (try to) investigate, access the saved Bookmarks, retrieve the sites, etc.)

Can anyone help - or maybe offer solace that FF might fix itself or be fixed in the near future? Like I said, it's a bit debilitating for work, research and entertainment alike.

I should perhaps add that I prefer to use a laptop (HP) where possible.

In Windows 10, I could open Manage Bookmarks with one mouse click on Manage Bookmarks on the Bookmarks toolbar, and the bookmarks would open at the top of my organized list, with the Bookmarks Menu already displaying. One click! Fantastic!

Now, in Windows 11 I am unable to open Manage Bookmarks on the toolbar, as it doesn't exist, and does not exist in the Customize toolbar display either. Instead I must click on the "Show Your Bookmarks" icon on the Bookmarks toolbar, then click on Manage Bookmarks, then must scroll the results to the top, then click on Bookmarks Menu. This procedure, compared to how simple things were with Firefox, using Windows 10, is a real waste of valuable time.

Is there any way to open Manage Bookmarks, with Bookmarks menu displayed, with one click of an icon on the Bookmarks toolbar, as was the case with my Windows 10?

Depuis quelques temps, je n'arrive plus à enregistrer les pages internet dans mes favoris. "L'étoile" réagit au passage de la souris mais ne se colore plus en bleu comme avant.

J'ai toujours accès à ma liste déjà enregistrer, je peux les ouvrir mais je ne peux pas supprimer les marque-pages non plus.

Sous Win 10, j'ai bien vérifier que Firefox était bien à jour.

Unsure which 'topic' deletion applies to. All of a sudden I am unable to add or delete from my bookmarks and I think I may not be able to delete anything anywhere else either. Why has this occurred, suddenly, and how can I fix it without hiring an IT pro? I have been using Firefox as a browser for over twenty years and this has never happened before. I am using Windows 10 and Firefox 146.0.1. Thanks, James.

Just as the summary says, Used to have an icon that I put under the "hamburger" menu on the bookmarks toolbar that opened the bookmarks menu. Can't remember how I got it there. Can someone help me get it back.

I recently updated Firefox on my computer. After that, I can't find my old Bookmarks.

Also I find that I am UNABLE to add any new Bookmark. When I click on the 'Star' in the browser toolbar, there is nothing. Before I used to Get the Add Bookmark tab and a place to SAVE, now there is nothing.

Even after I type in the URL in the address bar, and open up the required page, I am unable to Add it to my Bookmarks.

Please Help!
