Below are two attached images, please take a look. From my understanding there are two different translation features built into firefox, you can identify them by looking at the attached screenshots. I very much dislike the translation features which has the "page icon". The other option which looks like an "alphabet icon" and has "EN" attached to it is very much welcome. I want to add this translation feature to the toolbar, however when i open up the "customize toolbar option" there is no translation feature available. How can i add it? I do remember that in previous firefox version, the translation feature was pinned to the very right of the bar.

I have tried all of the recommended ideas in the articles about reloading bookmarks and nothing has worked.

Title, i really don't want that small icon on every new tab. You can move it in toolbar customization , but you can't remove it completely. It loads automatically when opening any tab at all , so i see it for a split second. It really bugs me.

I've tried to install the language pack for english to have swedish and english spelling checked on my computer. I've added it like the discription mentions but it doesn't show as an option when I try to change it.

I installed Firefox on a fresh Win 11 install, and most of the the favicons are still generic on the Home Page several days later. Facebook, Ebay and Youtube are the only ones that appear consistently, sometimes other will display, but then be gone again the next time the app is launched. All other links just have the generic letter icons.

I tried deleting the 3 favicon files in the Profiles folder, but it did nothing. I've tried manually re-adding the links, still nothing. I removed the "S" from "https;//" and still nothing. The favicons all show up on my other machines which use Firefox on the same user account, so it is not a problem with the websites themselves.

Not sure if its related, but upon installing Firefox on this machine, it made Firefox on my Mac desktop absolutely freak out. I had to make a significant number of changes over the course of hours to fix everything, so many relating to favicons alone that I don't know what actually fixed it.

What else can I do to try and get these working? Why does Firefox apparently struggle with this particular feature across multiple OSes?

Hello- When I am on a website and click link I would expect and want a new Tab to open-- I want it to open it in a new Tab and leave the page I'm on alone so I can go back to the original page.

Instead, Firefox overwrites that page and the tab with the a new one, and I have to hit the back button to get back to that original page. And most often the back arrow button is grayed out and I can't get back at all.

In settings, I've tried checking the box for: 'Open links in tabs instead of new windows' but that doesn't do it. I've also tried checking the box, 'When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately,' and that doesn't do it either.

I know that a work-around is to hold down the Ctrl key while clicking a link, but I'd like to set it as a default so I don't have to do that. That's a pain and not a natural function when browsing. To be sure, I want to click on links and that creates a new Tab without Ctrl Keys.

recently the protections dashboard is not showing the same information as before, with much lower numbers of blocked trackers. why is that? color of bars is different also.

How to stop firefox from prompting me with this pop up (see attachment). I already removed the whatsapp app from firefox, it's still not working as it used to be which is to start whatsapp conversation directly in the web. It's annoying because the app is so easy to install but hard to remove. Firefox should do something about this.

Literally every single extensions I try to download says Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt. I don't know why because I just downloaded firefox.

Yesterday I got a prompt saying there was an update available for download. Today when restarting my laptop and opening Firefox ALL of my bookmarks are missing!!! My bookmark toolbar is also empty. Where did all of this important stuff go? Please help me restore this my information asap. I am freaking out!

Hi Guys, I have used Firefox browser to open and use Yahoo Finance for many years without any problems. On Wednesday 16th July 2025, suddenly, I could not download any stock charts. At first I thought it was a glitch with yahoo itself. However after a lot of searching and frustrating trial and error I seem to have pinpointed the problem to my Firefox browser. These charts will open as normal in Chrome. I have refreshed, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox without success. Any ideas please?

Where are my bookmarks? Everything is gone with the update, and you didn't warn this could happen. Is there a way to recover the bookmark file? Profiles does not help for there is no new profile there. I NEED THE BOOKMARKS FOR WORK!!!

Many web pages that have a video header will launch the video in a popup window after you scroll past the header.

There are no user controls in the popup window, and clicking 'block popups' and turning off 'enable p-n-p controls' had no effect on them.

Is there a a setting that will stop these video popups from automatically launching? They eat up a lot of memory, and are a pain to turn off manually.

SEVERAL SITES THAT I USE ARE NOT LOADING CORRECTLY WITH MY CURRENT AD BLOCKER. WHEN I DISABLE THE AD BLOCKER THE SITES LOAD NORMALLY. I AM NOW USING A DIFFERENT BROWSER UNTIL A SOLUTION IS FOUND.
