Firefox keeps suddenly crashing, I have reset Firefox, deleted it and reinstalled it, I have used DISM and SFC to repair any issues and I have set up a new profile within Firefox with no extensions, but still I have the same issue, either tabs suddenly crash or the whole Firefox does.

Immediately after I downloaded the latest update 153.0.1 for Firefox on the Mac, I noticed an issue with the Clear Recent History request. Whenever I select Clear Recent History (under History in the top bar menu), the popup box that opens always shows it is "calculating" the data, even if I only visited one website and closed it (or left it open). If the Clear button is active, I will click it and the box closes, but I never know if the history was cleared.

However, many times, the Clear button is grayed out while the "calculating" is in progress, and it freezes up the popup box. I cannot close it or click on any other part of the screen. It appears to freeze (crash) Firefox. My only option then is to quit Firefox and reopen it. When I do, the popup box is gone. But I still have no confirmation that the history has been deleted. But after visiting one or more websites that I want cleared of history (news sites, etc) the issue reappears again as soon as I select Clear Recent History.

I have a whitelist of many sites that I allow to store cookies and site data. But for all other sites, I routinely clear my history when I am done viewing them. This issue has never happened before, so I'm wondering if it is a bug in the latest 153.0.1 update. Before I downloaded the latest Firefox update, I checked to make sure it was compatible with my current version of Ventura 13.7.8 on a MBP 2022. And the clear history issue never appeared when I was on Firefox 152.0.6.

You updated your browser on my pc today. Now I can’t open it. It opens but has not opened any sites. I’ve had to use bing. I’ve used your browser for several years but unfortunately I’ve not been able to. It locks up when I try to open YouTube. The blue circle starts and locks up. Too bad.

My browser started crashing after the latest update, and it still crashes even in Safe Mode. It doesn’t close immediately upon opening; instead, it shuts down suddenly after about one minute or longer. This issue never occurred before and only started appearing after the recent update. Since the 152.0 update I've experienced near nonstop browser crashing, it crashed twice as I was trying to type up and submit this message,

Is this a known issue or solely on my end? running 64 bit, windows 10

Following my traumatic brain injury I do have a reading disability search that perusing your articles could take me up to a week.

As you see I am running Windows 10 on a laptop which Microsoft said I was good for another year using this OS. Your latest download executed and after 2 reboots continuously crashes after trying to view any of the five windows a browser I had open with multiple tabs in each.

I usually use firefox to download things, and watch videos, however, sometimes, when I change tabs, try to minimise firefox, close a pop up, even if I just pause a video, it randomly decides to instead completely freeze and require the app to be completely restarted, and it occasionally decides to roll back my search history.

In fact, Firefox crashed as I was writing this, i'm lucky my progress was saved, these issues have made firefox completely unusable about 70%-80% of the time, and i'm running out of browsers to switch to, opera is run on lies, chrome is just bad, and now firefox is dying.

Just for reference, no other application or web browser that has ever been on my current device has ever acted like this, I'm currently using a decent PC running Windows 10

While playing Free Games.org and Free Mahjong also on AOL Mail Firefox crashes after a few moments. I performed security scans and restarted, still crashing.

Every time I attempt to log into X.com the Firefox browser stops working entirely. Dead. Nothing. Won't open or function. Need to restart my computer to access and use Firefox. This does not happen when I use Chrome.

for years now I have had this issue when browsing. It is so annoying. I have tried all the suggested troubleshooting. I deleted all extensions. This helped for a while, but not for long. Now it's so tedious to browse that I am thinking of getting rid of Firefox. It has just become unusable and no one can seem to fix it. I am using Windows 10 and no extensions. It often happens when I first open a page and while the page is being pulled up.

I'm trying to use Booking.com to pay online for a holiday and Firefox keeps crashing as soon as I press confirm payment. Have tried several times using 2 different cards. What can I do?

Hello, Whenever I open Firefox, it crashes repeatedly. This has been going on for at least a couple of weeks, whether it's right when I open it or hours later when I'm in the middle of something. I've disabled extensions, ran it in troubleshoot, and done the steps advised to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this has rendered Firefox unusable.
