new update destroyed old firefox look i love those old sqarish tabs please give us option to switch back to old firefox look, themes, styles... in settings, i dont see it anywhere, the tabs were perfect like they were new look of tabs is horrible (at least to me) is there some way to return to old look. Ai said to me to play around with a userChrome.css file but i still cant get the old look no matter how much i try, it gets worse and worse, worst case scenario is it possible to send me a css file of old tabs / toolbar look or something i feel like someone moved every single furniture in my home, the feeling is terrible. new icons are okay but old toolbar and even search bar is better in older version, i loved more the old look why is there no option to revert back to old theme look i used for years.

Firefox just forced a terrible update on me that makes everything look round and different and I hate it so much. I don't understand why they think people want things to change all the time instead of being allowed to get familiar with something and now have it change on you without even asking if you want it to change!

Ever since the last update, I can no longer watch recordings on xfinity stream with Firefox. What happened? Can I fix it? I sometimes have to start watching programs late, but they wont play while recording. I can watch those same recordings when they are finished, but not while they are still recording. I can watch those same recordings while recording on Chrome and Safari so it's not an xfinity problem. But for some reason not on Firefox anymore Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks Ron

The text of selected tab if I set on Light mode is white when widget.windows.mica and browser.theme.windows.accent-color-in-tabs.enabled flags on about:config are turned on. This only fix if I switch to dark mode.

This bug even exist prior to Firefox 157 release, where Nova UI refresh was available but disabled by default.

Hi, I recently opened my browser and noticed that all the tabs are now rounded instead of rectangular. I'd like to restore them to their original appearance, but I can't find anywhere how to do it.

Hi Team, I am facing an issue that i have setup the download setting of PDF file as save file and automatically download in my system. but firfox is not working as expected.

Firefox is taking minutes to load tabs and once loaded it goes offline. It has been going offline for some time but it was only for short periods and I was blaming my router or internet connection but recently the offline periods have gone on for so long that Firefox is unusable and I have had to revert to another browser. There are no error messages other the "offline"

When I login to a site where there are many widgets (windows) on the screen - the windows are all missing scroll bars. If I login under a different browser they are there. This happened about a week or so ago. It has to be a setting change in Firefox. Please advise.

My Firefox VPN is still showing as nearing my limit, despite it now being October everywhere in the world. Why hasn't it reset to 50GB? I've tried restarting Firefox and it didn't make any difference. It still shows "Getting close to your VPN limit. You have 2.2GB of 50GB left this month."

I updated my Microsoft office to the latest office 365 desktop version. The install changed something, and any link in an e-mail now gets sent to Edge, rather than Firefox. I checked all the file extensions and made sure they all point to Firefox, but the problem is still there. Any suggestions for what to try next?

Hi, since the latest update, whenever I'm in a tab (e.g. email or personal website) and I go to upload files, all tabs show the last location of the last upload from any tab whereas previously they showed the location of the relevant tab. E.g. on a tab for my website it would previously open the location of my website files and if I switch to my email tab it would open the location of my email attachments. Now it doesn't seem to remember the loaction by individual tab it just starts in the location of the used loaction across all tabs.

Not sure if that makes sense, it's very annoying as I have to keep searching the location again between tabs.

Can this be changed back please so it remembers locations on a individual tab basis and not globally?

First the laggy, extremely slow issue was just noticed on YouTube. Now I notice it on Rumble and other sites. For now, I have to abandon Firefox and use an alternative browser. I've stayed with you for years. Maybe it's time to part ways. I really like your browser. But, it has become nearly non-functional for me.

For some reason, Firefox is all messed up . Happened suddenly. Some sites are blocked and says " ⚠ Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com"

But I'm not using Strict mode. Standard is set.

Or Malewarebytes will block the site and I have to click Continue.

Or in Yahoo.com, Yahoo is written in big black letters on top, and as I scroll down, there's nothing but empty boxes, all on a white background.

No, this is not happening on Chrome. All is normal.

What is going on?

Actually, I believe the aspect of a browser that should not be changed casually is the UI that users interact with while browsing, such as tabs and sidebars. Any changes to configurable UI elements are acceptable, but Firefox should now refrain from altering the UI and instead focus entirely on fixing bugs and optimizing performance. The UI represents the face of a browser, and constantly changing it not only fails to attract new users but also neglects the needs of existing ones.

Apparently Firefox updated and changed its appearance. The tab bar and other UI elements used to be squared, but now they're round. Also the private browsing default page appearance changed too. How can I change it back to the way it used to be? I'm on version 157 on Windows 11.

When I open Firefox, I get Welcome to Firefox each time. I asked this question earlier and received this response:

This sounds like Firefox is not saving the profile/setup changes between launches. I’d check that Firefox isn’t running in a temporary/new profile and that the profile folder is writable.

You could also try creating a new Firefox profile and see whether it launches normally there.

I do not know how to do any of this, especially since I cannot open Firefox. Please advise.

I am using Windows 10 . I have MS Edge as well as FireFox browsers installed. I just recently installed Thunderbird.

Since I used FireFox and turned FireFox VPN on and then off (after about 15 minutes) I cannot connect to some websites like rockauto.com using FireFox or MS Edge. If I turn FireFox VPN back on I can connect to these sites (rockauto.com is only one example) just fine. But if I exit FireFox and go to use MS Edge -- I cannot access the websites at all, they timeout.

What gives?

firfox updated this morrning. windows 10. now I keep losing the keyboard and mouse controls and have to reboot to recover them is there some way of restoring the previous version of fireefox??

I’ve already tried disabling protection and hardware acceleration, clearing the cache and cookies, and even accessing it in Safe Mode, but the situation hasn't changed

Hi guys - I am running Firefox 157.0 (aarch64) on a Macmini M2 pro with 32GB RAM .

I am regularly receiving messages that my default browser, Firefox, is the largest consumer of that RAM. This is what I received this morning shortly before my system shut itself down. I did have many files open but noticed that Firefox is consuming 33GB of my RAM. Is this normal?
