Can anyone help me with a master password issue?

The box appears at the appropriate time but I am unable to enter any text into the box. I point and click in the text space but the cursor does not appear and nothing happens when I start typing.

The sign in button is grey although I can click on it and the box briefly disappears then reappears asking for the password again. The cancel button works and closes the box.

I do not have the same problem on my Android mobile and I can access my passwords on my phone but not on my Windows laptop.

I want to use Facebook Messenger to talk with or video with my friends. This used to work up until the latest Firefox update. Now when I try using messenger to record audio, it says Facebook doesn't have permissions and to go to settings to allow it. When I go to settings, there is NO WAY for me to do this without some website previously ASKING for permissions. And unfortunately, Facebook isn't smart enough to ask for permissions, maybe because several firefox revisions ago I GAVE it permission to use my devices.

It's not just the computer, either. I have this problem with all my computers. I don't have this problem with other browsers. Just Firefox.

My buddy highlighted an issue, then i re-checked myself and it is worrying to me.

To recreate (windows):

Get any (non-webistaller [not nececarry, to do it this way, but simpler to check]) firefox version (buddy got a fresh portable, i used my kinda privacy fortified one). Disconnect from the internet (plug the cable for fastest result). Make your version usable (install it) Start firefox, and open the Resource Monitor, with the network tab open expand the Network Activity portion (short alphabeticly, by name, check for F for firefox). Plug the cable in.

You soon will see FF will start looking for things, then an adress with a googleusercontet.com will pop up. Does not matter what is the Homepage's default browser, does no matters even if the Homepage is set to blank, this happens.

My best bet would be google safe browsing, but still, without any activity it is already connecting to that?

I know about the Google-FF/Mozilla relation, but this really made me think about why i still like firefox.

Please let me know what I should be doing other than tightening linked in which has no crucial information anyway. My e-mail will get back on e-vite because someone will send me an invitation. The other places should not have any information on me since I've never visited, don't know what they are.

Hello. I want to find what level of search filtering is being as default by Firefox. All other browsers I have seen allow users to select "No Filter", "Medium Level Filter" or "Safe/Restricted Filter." I have also seen it called "Restriction Level." Where may I find the page to make this simple and common change? Thank you!

I recently set up Firefox Recovery Keys knowing that I was formatting my PC. I am logged into my Firefox account on my laptop and have forgotten my password. Using Firefox Sync and Google Authenticator, I can log into Firefox on my Android.

I am trying to log into Firefox on my PC now, and have forgotten my password, and now none of the Recovery Keys I was given by Firefox are working (I am correct in saying these keys are 10 digits long, and you are given multiple keys when setting up the Recovery Keys?).

I cannot reset my password and lose all of my generated logins. Is there any other way to log into Firefox on desktop, say using google authentication or sync like android?

I am trying to access an internal corporate site (IBM Cognos) using Firefox. Assuming it is always or never, I want it to bypass SSO and have Firefox prompt me to enter the Username & Password. Is there a way to accomplish this? We are using Firefox 92.0

I am trying to access my firefox account. I have my username, password and a 24 character recovery key (I set this up in 2014). I have changed mobile devices so I no longer have the Firefox token set up in LastPass..so cannot generate the pin. When I try to bypass the pin by using my recovery key - I am only given the option to use a 10digit key, not the 24digit key I was provided in 2014.

Ver 92.01 - I noticed lately that since pop out video has been enabled, now I find webpages automatically starting ads and playing the videos without me clicking or asking for such behavior.

Curious why this has happened without notification and what is the control to stop it?

I would recommend you address this directly with your customers as we might get the idea that this revenue stream is slightly dishonest.

Hello There is something about firefox that bothers me for a long time, when i want to enter into my adsl router settings it doesn't apply username to the username field and i have to click on password field to select saved username & password but even after that only password get imported and i have to enter username manauly in order to access router settings... I don't have this kind of issue on any other browse eg: ie, chrome, edge ... It's not big deal but i'm fan and i want firefox to be ahead of other browsers also i can provide any technical information if you want. Thanks in advance

I am control freak so because it I like Mozilla Firefox. So I need feature (inside about:config) that will

1. Notificate me about every access to every API that generate extensions (history access, bookmarks, webpage content, tabs access etc) 2. Ability to disallow/allow access inside these popups (permanently, session mode) 3. Such permission sandbox only for a list of addons (not all)

Recently (on two machines) Firefox has been showing the 'Update Password' pop-up for saved log ins. If I ignore it all is well, but the password in the box is not the one originally saved. If I save it I can see a randomly generated password which is, obviously, invalid for that site. If I have multiple log-ins it gets very confusing as some users will hit save thinking 'that's ok' and others won't. If I disable 'ask to save log-ins' it doesn't populate the ones already saved. Currently my only option is to cancel the 'update' pop-up every time which is annoying and confusing. I've cleared the cache for several sites to no avail. Any thoughts?

FF is offering me two versions of my e-mail when I login to a website where I have specifically told it to 'never' remember a password. The little black selection dropdown shows both myUserName@myMailserver.com myUserName@myMailserver.co When I click to login page of 'website.com'. It does not offer this for all websites that use e-mail address as login.

I have checked and the website in question shows up in 'never save' exceptions to my 'ask to save usernames and passwords'.

So I have no saved passwords to remove for that site--when I look up 'website.com', I get nothing.

2 questions: why does FF continue to offer a login name for that site?

FF 93.04 beta (will be updated in a few minutes to next version) MacOS 11.6 Big Sur and where can I find and zap 'myUserName@myMailserver.co' without losing all of my other logins & passwords that I do allow FF to store for me?

I have Windows 10 and Firefox 93. Chase Bank says there is something wrong with my browser, and wants me do switch to Chrome. What else can I do (besides changing banks)? I have no problems with any other site, including other banks.

Hello, My MacbookPro is completely nonfuntcional. Dead. I wonder how I can recover my logins and passwords for use on a new computer. I cannot allow synching from the old computer because it will not boot. I'm desperate.
