Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at mesp.finance.gov.bd.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

AI "summaries" or "explanations" have been popping up in front of actual useful text that I want to read. How do I disable this AI summarizer or turn it off? If this removes an AI chatbot, even better.

I asked friendly & helpful volunteer @jscher2000 a couple of days ago about the Strange Case of the Disappearing Bookmarks that suddenly befell me in FF last week.

Last night, the Bookmarks came back - or came back in part, so to speak. ~ ~ There are outstanding problems. I hope these too resolve themselves or can be resolved in the near future, as it is a bit debilitating.

So, what are my current issues/problems with Bkmrks in FF?

1) Can't search my Bookmarks any more.

I enter a search term in the Bkmrks Search box (whether all Bookmarks or a defined subsection/folder I have made) - never a response but blank (though I know that term is among bookmarks somewhere) - and then, the content list of that sub-folder of my Bookmarks even goes blank when I search there. (That content list returns when I click on another folder and back to that one, but that's not much consolation.)

2) Problem adding any new Bookmarks.

Though the "Bookmarks Star" lights up when I try to add a new Bkmrk - suggesting it has been saved - the new saves are nowhere visible among "Bookmarks". Not under the folder I chose to save them to (or tried), nor anywhere else I can see under Bookmarks, such as in the general folder.

3) Can't even Export Bookmarks any more - as html or in any other format.

I go to Manage Bookmarks, etc., and click "Export as html" ,,, nothing happens. There is no trace of an exported html or other file at the location where I decided to save the file.

(To explain what may be obvious: the point of the (attempted) Exportation on this occasion is to (try to) investigate, access the saved Bookmarks, retrieve the sites, etc.)

Can anyone help - or maybe offer solace that FF might fix itself or be fixed in the near future? Like I said, it's a bit debilitating for work, research and entertainment alike.

I should perhaps add that I prefer to use a laptop (HP) where possible.

Is it possibile to change horizontal or vertical size of the main firefox window using mouse? Now I am able to open only one size between the maximum and minimum. Why? Mary

Firefox now takes forever to load Facebook. I tried resetting it but no joy. Duck Duck Go and the Microsoft browser are all much faster loading Facebook. Why is this? Can anyone help?

After downloading the latest OS on my IMac, I can no longer use the microphone on Chat GPT to dictate anything. I keep getting red "enable microphone" messages. In my Firefox settings, the microphone is already "allowed" for Chat GPT. I would like to be able to dictate, rather than type, like I was able to before. Thank you.

FireFox has been very slow and "sticky" when accessing some sites. I have Windows 11 installed on a Dell XPS8930 desktop. Other browsers (Brave and Edge) do not have this same problem. The problem most often shows up with FOX NEWS.com. Is there an issue with FireFox and FOX News?

After the update occurred my desktop bookmarks was not here anymore! I need to get that desktop bookmars back and I can not figure out how to get it back PLEASE help me!!

for some weeks now, Firefox (latest, in Windows) crashes, or says 'not closed properly' and shows (usually) 12 'instances' in Task Manager when only one tab has been opened. I'm not techie, and need clear advice. Can anyone help please? Hugh, UK

Latest version of Firefox browser (142.1) recently installed on my laptop and desktop both running Windows 10. The former continues to support Flightradar 24. The latter no longer does. Message reads 'Unfortunately, your current browser does not support WebGL2 . . . most major browsers (including Firefox) do'! Is there a reason for this anomaly, please? Plus a solution? Absolutely furious. My bookmarks have completely disappeared and none of your suggested 'articles' is any help at all. I certainly won't be using Mozilla any more if you can't tell me how to rectify this.

I installed Firefox on a fresh Win 11 install, and most of the the favicons are still generic on the Home Page several days later. Facebook, Ebay and Youtube are the only ones that appear consistently, sometimes other will display, but then be gone again the next time the app is launched. All other links just have the generic letter icons.

I tried deleting the 3 favicon files in the Profiles folder, but it did nothing. I've tried manually re-adding the links, still nothing. I removed the "S" from "https;//" and still nothing. The favicons all show up on my other machines which use Firefox on the same user account, so it is not a problem with the websites themselves.

Not sure if its related, but upon installing Firefox on this machine, it made Firefox on my Mac desktop absolutely freak out. I had to make a significant number of changes over the course of hours to fix everything, so many relating to favicons alone that I don't know what actually fixed it.

What else can I do to try and get these working? Why does Firefox apparently struggle with this particular feature across multiple OSes?

This does not occur on Edge.

I've cleared browsing data and cookies as well as changed network settings from "Use System Proxy Settings" to "Auto detect Proxy Settings from this Network" (because one trouble-shooting site suggested it might resolve the issue)

What's going on?

Is it time to finally dump Firefox for Edge after more than 15 years of loyalty?

I do not have a screen shot of the PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR.

I just purchased 1Password because I need a password manager. I like Firefox and want to continue using it as my browser. My operating system is Windows 11 on a new Dell laptop.

But when I try to use the 1Password icon in the browser to save login information, I get only 3 choices: monitor, relay, and Firefox VPN. None works for 1Password.

I am very frustrated about this and hope my fellow Firefoxers can help me. I am disappointed Firefox offers no tech support.

Since this week's update of Firefox Developer edition when the browser is restarted tabs do not load until I reset the browser.

I suspect an add-on but have not been able to determine which one.

This is happening on multiple (3) physical computers.

I just started a new work role and haven't been able to find the time to troubleshooting of the issue myself.

This has been very disrupting and stressful.
